Mission: To break the cycle of homelessness for the elderly, single parents with children, and persons with special needs through offering non-traditional permanent and transitional housing solutions, and programs and services that create independence, empowerment, and self-worth.
Programs: Group residence facilities house single women with small children and older adults. Through our partnership efforts, we are able to offer daycare, mental health counseling and life skills training. Adults have the opportunity to improve their education and employment skills, budget management, computer knowledge, and enhanced parenting skills. Children are enriched with after-school programs, monthly literacy programs and recreational, educational and social services. Transitional in setting, the goal of the program is for our families to become self-sufficient, stable and independent. We assisted 81 women and children and enjoy an 80% success rate.

Drugs and domestic violence forced me and my two young sons to leave the comforts of our home town. Shared Housing held me and my two sons with housing and services during this difficult time. I know that this program helped me and continues to be important to me and my family. From the food pantry to back to school and the annual holiday parties - shared housing is family!
