Mission: Our Mission is to respectfully provide food, shelter, housing and guidance to those in need.
Results: In 2014 the Shalom Center observed large increases in the number of families needing to use our Food Pantry and Shelter programs as well as a large increase in the number of people attending the Soup Kitchen every night. Some 2014 statistics are: * The Food Pantry distributed over 1.5 million pounds of food to over 11,400 household Service contacts. * The Soup Kitchen served evening hot meals to over 31,300 people. + 11,000 breakfast and lunch meals to Family’s in our shelter. * The Emergency Family Shelter provided a 24/7 safe, healthy living environment to 45 families, consisting of 50 adults and 95 children. * The INNS program sheltered 7,822 individuals nightly. Our goal is to provide individuals with basic need items so that they can focus on getting back on their feet. We require our clients to attend classes to point them in the right direction towards self-sufficiency. Some classes we offer are: *Finances * Resume writing * Job searching * Interview role playing *Nutrition *Hygiene
