Causes: Arts & Culture, Theater
Mission: To provide live shakespearean theater to schools in new england reaching thousands of students each year through our perfomances and workshops.
Programs: Two travelling shakespearean productions toured new england schools. The shows were romeo and julet, and a midsummer nights dream. There were 60 performances to approximately 15,000 students. Themes that we covered were shakespearean comedy and tragedy, elizabethean performance style, plus stage combat and characterization.
ten interactive student workshops which took place on site at school loactions. These workshops are led by accompolished teaching artists and are held for smalll groups of students. Students explore movement to shakesperean imagery and the meaning behind shakespeares rich language.
