Mission: Shady Hill School wants children to be joyful, active learners who become confident and ethical citizens of the school community and the world beyond. We believe in the primacy of exploration and discovery, we advance the mastery of skills, and we help students shape meaning from knowledge.
Programs: Shady Hill School is an independent co-educational day school for 500 students in grades preK-8.Since 1928 the School has trained teachers through its one-year Teacher Training Course. Each year 18 apprentices learn the art and practice of teaching. These apprentices may choose to pursue a master's degree at Lesley University or Tufts University while at Shady Hill School
