Programs: SFPAL builds community by organizing youth sports and healthy activities that develop personal character and fosters positive relationships among police officers, youth, and dedicated volunteers. SFPAL provides hope and opportunities to kids throughout the city of San Francisco by offering free athletic and educational programs kept at a minimal cost to the participants. Dedicated civilian and police coaches, instructors, mentors and former program participants choose to give back to the youth in the community by donating their time, energy and commitment to serve almost 1,000 SFPAL kids annually. Our dedicated Board of Directors, comprised out of active and retired police officers and civilians, works rigorously at creating new programs and opportunities to positively impact more youth in the community to help protect the city’s future.
