My story is about my 40 year old daughter. I became unexpectedly pregnant after having given birth to two beautiful sons. My marriage to their father was falling apart. I did not want to be the mother of another one of his children. I was afraid, depressed and angry with him. As time went by, I planned to have an abortion. I could not sleep for weeks. He did not seem to care whether I kept the baby or not. I planned a date for the abortion. On the day instead of keeping the appointment, I called my Catholic friends. They were so happy for me. In spite of my husband, I became joyful. In those days knowing the sex of the unborn was not a choice. Well on 1/24/1980 my beautiful baby girl entered this world! What joy and praise I give to the Lord for her. I have converted from being a protest to a catholic and have so much gratitude and love for him seeing me through every trial I have faced. May the power of his love always be with you! ❤️

If God didn't lead my great grandmother to find out about several sources I don't know if I ever would of met my mom. I might have been little but I still rember my first friends I ever had witch where the other baby's and the safe feeling of home while we where there. I rember I saw a picture of Steven Bogart holding me as a baby . my mom has told me that its benifacters like him and so many others that make saving all the baby's like me posibble.
I can't even begin to express my love, appreciation and gratitude for Several Sources.
8 years ago I was in their shelter.(I dislike the word shelter, because in reality it's 4 beautiful homes) I had no clue about Several Sources. Upon arrival, I was scared and anxious. Soon after my arrival, all my fears went away. I was welcomed into a beautiful home by some truly wonderful and beautiful people.
8 years later as I'm wiring this, I can't help but cry when I think about everything Several Sources and how much they have blessed me with giving my son life. At a time when I was falling apart, had nobody to turn to, no family(all disowned me because I was an unwed mother) several sources picked me up and slowly but surely pieced my life back together.
My son is my world. I look at him as often as possible and still can't believe they saved his little life❤️ Kathleen, Susan and most importantly Kathy are the three most amazing people. My life is forever changed because of them. We love you.
I came to several sources when I was 19 and pregnant with no help and no place to go. All of the house mothers and Kathy helped me realize what life is really about. They helped me become the mother I am today. Without them me and my daughter would have probably been on the street. Kathy and her staff show love and compassion to the ones who need it the most. Every baby deserves to be born into the world feeling wanted and loved. They were like family to me when I had none.
I was 19 when I can to several sources.
Ready to give up and felt I had no choice other then abortion. Kathy and all the house mothers gave me the strength, faith and mindset to realize I CAN DO THIS!
I was given help in so many ways.
Spiritually mentally even physically.
When my daughter was born I had everything we needed to start our new lives together I was given a gift of guidance that made me the women and mother I am today.
Several sources sent me to school after helping me obtain my GED.
I achieved so many life goals that shaped a life for me and my baby that I never could have ever imagined when I walked thru Kathy's doors 9 years ago.
I don't believe their is anywhere else in this big world that does for women and baby's what Kathy and her house mothers do.
As a volunteer for Several Sources I have found the people working there to be extremely up beat and very generous with their time and talents. So many of the people served at Several Sources are in such dire straights that it takes a very special kind of person to stay positive and hopeful. I know at times the words "penny pinching" have a negative connotation but when trying to get as much done for people in need that can be it can also be a very commendable description. It is for this reason, and of course for the work that is done, that I am also a donor to Several Sources.
Kathy has saved THOUSANDS of babies through her work at Several Sources Shelters. I had the privilege of meeting Kathy about 15 years ago and I've witnessed firsthand her passion, love, faith and joy working with pregnant women. Kathy has built an incredible team of passionate, capable and loving people who work side by side with her to mentor young mothers and give them a safe, loving, caring, home where they can continue their education and learn life skills that will assist them after giving birth and move out and become independent. Through the major motion picture "Gimme Shelter" (which is based on Kathy's firsthand experience at the shelter in Ramsey, NJ), viewers were able to witness just how passionate and committed Kathy is to every single mother who comes into her life. Kathy and her team at Several Sources Shelters work tirelessly to save babies not only in our state of NJ, but worldwide with their 800-helpline and website. The Shelter is a great model of love, compassion and perseverance and our community is better because of the work they do.
I've been associated Cathy and the people from Several Sources for the past 15 years. I think the program at Several Sources is one of the most outstanding programs for young pregnant mothers I have ever seen. It not only helps them to keep their baby but it also rounds them out to learn to live like a family. Most of the kids come from unstable homes and Several Sources gives them the tools they need to live a substantial life on their own. I have learned through this program that once these girls are on their own Kathy will always remain a remarkable mother figure for them.

I have been a volunteer at Several Sources Shelter for several years now. Several Sources offers unwed, pregnant women and their babies an alternative to abortion. The loving, safe, supportive home environment provides these young women with counseling throughout their pregnancy and the opportunity to complete their high school/ college education-- skills needed for life after Several Sources. Efforts are made to re-connect these women with their families, to mend the disconnect, where possible.
I fully support the work of this wonderful organization.
A very long time ago, (perhaps over 20 yrs.) my husband and I personally visited the Ramsey home to observe the facility and the charity that we would be involved in contributing in the future years. Over the past years Several Sources has grown tremendously accomplishing their goals and doing wonders in saving babies, battered women and families. From that first visit to the present contributions have been made to a very wonderful charity. Kathy has done an outstanding job in furthering her cause.
I am quite selective in the support I provide to nonprofit organizations because I want to be sure the funds are truly getting to the right people. Several Sources is a fantastic organization dedicated to helping and supporting pregnant women in need. Their work is truly life saving and very much influenced by deep faith in God. The folks who work for Several Sources are dedicated value driven individuals and the founder Kathy DiFiori is a living saint. As a donor first, and now Board member, I've known Kathy and the work of Several Sources for 25 years. I read a small ad in a local catholic newspaper fifteen years ago. A shelter located in New Jersey was looking for a Housemother for one of their four shelters for pregnant teens . That place turned out to be Several Sources Shelters . I was retired at the time an "empty nester" as they say, so I gave Several Sources a call. Finding words to briefly discribe the work and my personal experience at Several Sources over these fifteen years is easy, simply put, it was extraordinary . The program developed by their founder gives one the opportunity to really make a difference in a young persons life , the exact reason I felt so drawn to the work . Our world has been very successful in misleading our youth in so many areas and in so many ways. The brokenness and sadness resulting from the worlds betrayal is evident when these young desperate women arrive at the shelter. At Several Sources they immediately find a warm, loving,safe environment in which to prepare for motherhood. Several Sources is a faith based shelter which means we can meet the spiritual needs as well as the physical needs of these young woman through the bible studies and chastity classes. Also included in the program are parenting classes and academic support i.e. (finishing high school, GED, etc). Over the years I have been asked by other shelters "how do you get them to attend these classes" I tell them it's easy they are mandatory. My journey at Several Sources began as a full time volunteer Housemother then as a Manger overseeing all four shelters. When I came to Several Sources my background was Oncology Nursing for several years then I transitioned to business as a Medical Reviewer at Prudential Insurance Co. I can honestly say being involved as I have been in the work of Several Sources Shelters these past fifteen years this particular work has been the most rewarding and fruitful . I have stayed in touch with many of the young women their children are in or starting high school now and it warms my heart when they reflect on their time at Several Sources. To shelter a homeless frightened pregnant teen or young women is admirable but to take it to the level that Several Sources Shelters does is remarkable.

I have been volunteering at Several Sources Shelter since I was in 8th grade. Most recently I have been volunteering more often. I volunteer in both the administrative office and with the housemothers. I have become friends with some of the expectant moms and have seen first hand how this shelter has helped them. I see the hard work that everyone puts in to keep this shelter going.
Several Sources Shelters helped me 12years ago when I was pregnant with my son and needed a place to live. They believed in me and even let me stay at their shelter until my son was 2 years old. Now I am happily married with another child and will always be grateful to Several Sources for all their support when I needed it the most. I have seen many other mothers also benefit from their support and kindness. They really help pregnant women when they need it the most and have nowhere to turn.
I found out about Several Sources by way of my faith-based experience. They are in the business of saving babies and helping mothers. Jesus died to save us and they are doing their part to continue life. They start with the unborn to make sure that babies are delivered into this world safe and unharmed. Mothers and homeless women are important lives that need preserving so several Sources offer help to them as well. I will continue to follow their work through the website and encourage others to do the same. Several Sources should never stop doing what they are doing.
Several Sources Shelters does great things for the homeless and pregnant women. At the day shelter, the homeless women are given fresh meals, hot showers and a place to feel wanted. At the maternity homes, the pregnant women have the chance to raise their babies and to better themselves. They also help families that are in need of food, clothes and daily living expenses.
Several Sources Shelters does more than value the birth of a baby, they value the life of a family. The work they do helps pregnant women of all ages, races and social strata who find themselves in need of financial and emotional support. They provide pregnant and new moms with housing, food, education, and spiritual support during pregnancy and long after the baby is born.
Several Sources Shelters is the answer to the prayers of a frightened and often abandoned teen or woman who discovers she is pregnant. They are a phone call away - 1- 800-662-2678. For over 30 years, women have found a loving, caring and supportive home for themselves and their unborn precious babies. The mothers can stay until their newborn is 1 year old. During this time they receive motherhood training, attend school or educational programs, get the medical attention they need, obtain part time jobs, and most importantly attend Bible Study and Chastity Classes.

I have been involved with Several Sources for the past 25 years as a volunteer and benefactor. Several Sources is more than a shelter for pregnant women; it is a place where these women can find a caring, nurturing home. I have been involved with Several Sources for over 25 years, first as a volunteer and donor and now as a board member. Several Sources Shelters helps expectant mothers who would like to give birth and find themselves in crisis due to pregnancy. At the shelter, they can find love and compassion. They learn how to be mothers and grow as individuals with self respect as Several Sources is not just a roof over their head. Finally, these moms are allowed to stay up to a year after the birth of their child or longer if they are enrolled in a program to further their education. Education is a gateway to lifetime financial security, so I support this endeavor sincerely.
I was able to give birth to my three children in a warm safe home environment, I had plenty of nourishment and love. I can't imagine carrying a child without shelter, food and love. Many young women do just that, they face insurmountable odds in order to give birth to their babies. Many of them are teens in the turmoil of growing up themselves, Several Sources Shelters is their answer to prayer. It offers them a hand when they most need it. It provides a warm , safe nurturing home where they can relax and allow their pregnancy to thrive. Being pregnant is a life changing event. Your body changes and so does your future. Several Source Shelters is more than a shelter for pregnant women. It is a place where these needy women can find a home and a “family” who cares about them and helps them to succeed in life. They learn life skills, attend Bible study and chastity classes, and are encouraged and supported to continue their education so that they can provide their child and themselves.
The support continues after the mothers have left our homes. Through Several Sources’ Special Families program, those families in need receive food gift certificates on a regular basis, medical and school supplies, gifts at Christmas and other support to help them get through difficult economic times.
Since 1981, Several Sources has helped over 20,000 women. Over 200 pregnant women call their National Hotline every month seeking assistance. Several Sources provides extensive counseling and information for pregnant women seeking information on the resources available to them.
Many of the women whom Several Sources serves are victims of violence or abuse, while others have been abandoned by their families. All of them need a place to stay so they can give life to their unborn child. Several Sources exists to offer a hand in friendship and love at a time when these women are most in need.
