Seven Homes' staff really knows what they are doing and if they do not have the answer they work hard to find one. They answer when ever we call with a question or concern about our placements. Highly recommend working with them.

Seven Homes is amazing! They are the glue that helps our family navigate through foster care. We have received excellent training that is above and beyond what is required for our license as well as ongoing in services and in the home advice and support. Seven homes families are well prepared with a realistic view of all of the wonderful things and the real challenges that come from raising a child with a history of trauma.

The social workers at seven homes truly advocate for the families and the children. They have significantly lower disruption rates that the state as a whole or other private agencies. When children come from hard places and have already had to be taken away from their family and everything they know, the last thing they need is to be bounced around. Seven homes works hard to make sure this happens as least as at all possible so that the child has a stable healthy environment to grow in. This success rate of Seven Homes really speaks to the effort they take to get to know the family and to get the most information possible about the child to make good placements in the first place. Furthermore, they give families true expectations and training on how to anticipate behaviors and how to build connections with all types of children. They are always there, 24/7 to answer questions, come over if needed, help transport children etc. Seven homes also builds community among foster families. They group families into home groups and provide activities free of charge to the children in care and their foster families. At these events children get to experience fun things they may never have gotten to do before like going to the zoo or great wolf lodge. They get an opportunity to meet and get to know other kids in foster care and parents get to know each other and support each other. This shared support and wealth of knowledge helps families be better parents, more connected with the children and each other, and more resilient to adverse events that may come their way.

Seven Homes goes out of their way to make children know they are LOVED! At training days for the parents, the kids have a fun playdate child watch. They have snacks and movies, games, toys, etc. and volunteers who pour love on the kids. Monthly date nights give parents a chance to reconnect and recharge. Seven homes also has a strong network of families that just provide respite care to give families overnight help and a break. Every year they buy children a hand picked gift for Christmas, something the child really wants and we have a big Christmas party together. We dance, eat, share stories, open gifts, make crafts, and take photos together.

Seven homes also advocates for the needs of the child to the county workers and coordinates visits and licensing paperwork. They are working constantly behind the scenes to make it as smooth as possible for families. I could go on and on. we are so glad we found out about Seven Homes and got our license through them. They truly change the lives of children.
