I have known Travis and Amber of SOW Ministries for over 10 years. I have seen their work firsthand. They are great people with great hearts for helping others. If you are interested in investing your time or money towards a great cause, I highly recommend SOW Ministries. Don't take my word for it. Go see for yourself.
SOW is a dedicated and passionate non-profit. They make their mission a reality, effectively and efficiently putting their donors' gifts to work building children's homes for orphans.
S.O.W. Ministry embodies James 1:27. Travis and Amber do an amazing job showing the love of Jesus to each and every child and widow they encounter. It's been a tremendous blessing to see how the Lord has used S.O.W. Ministries to bless so many people.
We have been working with Travis and Amber for the last year. We have worked with several orphaned in Mexico. We love their heart for Mexico and there love of people.
It has been so rewarding bring teams of people to help with the building.
We can’t wait to see the end result!
This is my number 1 charity both because of the work they do and how cost-effective and frugal they are. When it makes sense to use local labor in Mexico they do, when it is better to bring in supplies across the border from US they do. Travis is so hands on I know every dollar given is leveraged to do the most good. Travis and Amber live very modestly and their whole focus is on serving orphans in the local community. While Jesus talks about feeding the poor and helping the needy we are specifically commanded to help the widows and orphans. Please give whatever you can to this awesome charity!
Food was better last year. recommend doing like a Food Truck. Have a couple companies pay for it so it doesn't cost SOW ministries any money. Also have people that play poker donate the table and time so all the $$$ from craps table goes to SOW Ministries. Love the event. Love what you guys are doing. Awesome job.
I’ve been involved with SOW for many years now. It’s an amazing ministry doing amazing things for the youth in Baja Mexico. They are truly people of faith and God is doing amazing things through them.
Travis and Amber are genuine people who love Jesus and His kids! As a lead Pastor of a church I can tell you that you will be hard pressed to find a better kingdom investment.
My name is Ali Basula from Uganda, it a great opportunity that you have given me to express my sincere expertise, I am 33 years old since 23rd December 2021 last I have learnt that no one can stay without Gods help, It is really sad to notify you that during that time my brother was murdered in cold blood and his motorcycle taken leaving behind 8 children. When i struggled to look for what they eat, clothing, medical and education, I with God's Mercy visited your website and made a request as attached.
Sow ministries I believe with all the testimonies and all the widows and orphans you have helped. The Murder case is still under investigation at Iganga Police station in Uganda but responsibilities cannot wait
Our family has been working with S.O.W. far many years now ( 6?) - and each time it has been a wonderful and different experience. The Owen Family's heart for orphans and big picture vision is evident in all they do. They are extremely hard workers and never stop striving to fulfill their purpose in the plan that God has put on their hearts. It has been amazing to watch their ministry grow from the ground up. Their vision is being fulfilled and God's blessing on their family and ministry is evident. Our boys were very young when we first started visiting S.O.W., during spring break each year. Our boys are in high-school now and still ask us, "when is the next time we can go down to Mexico?" They don't want to spend their spring break any other way! :)
My name is Pierre and I have been volunteering at the Orphans & Widows Ministries a few times through the years and it is amazing to see the progress that has happened on this campus. Amber and Travis started this project with a mobile home to live in and that was it. Through the years they made room to build a compound that will be so beneficial for all the people in need in this area they've done that with great effort and working nonstop every day to generate funds and bringing volunteers to build this incredible compound. It is with the help of generous donations and volunteers that all this can be accomplished. Please visit their website and see everything that has surfaced from the ground up with their tremendous effort. They can only achieve this with your support. The Lord said that by helping others you will be blessed in return, so don't hesitate to help provide in any way you can for this wonderful ministry. You will enjoy participating in this ministry far more than you could imagine!
I have known Travis and Amber for many years. They have a passion for serving the people in Mexico. I have been blessed to serve alongside them many times and am always blessed. I love their vision in opening this new orphanage!
S.O.W. has done so much to help the vulnerable and orphaned in Mexico. Providing, food, haircuts, school supplies, and much more. They even help these orphans into adulthood. Helping them apply to college and pursuing skilled working opportunities like nursing. The best part is this is not a large corporation, this is a small operation that offers transparency and the ability for volunteers to visit and see first hand all that they are doing.
