Wow, I am shocked at seeing this review,, never have in the 6 years its been around seen this' We have a facility where the cats reside so to my knowledge and Ive been with Serenity Place for 17 years none of us involved with the organization past or present would have interviews in their homes. Upon further checking the review below is from a disgruntled applicant who was not approved by us to adopt a kitten.
Its sad that these type of false reviews go on social media, because the ones who suffer are the cats that need homes .
This may have been a legitimate and loving rescue at one time, however when I wanted to meet a kitten I saw online that I was interested in adopting, I was asked to come to the head of the rescue's home. I thought it was strange, but I so much wanted to meet who I was hoping would be a new furry family member. The house was in complete disarray and there were cats everywhere. Not just a few, but a lot! I was quickly taken into a living room and the people were so strange. I went home hopeful I would be approved for the kitten and the next day I received a "thanks, but no thanks letter". I tried multiple times to call and no one picked up the phone, so I left voice mail messages and none of my calls were returned. Then I received a nasty email from them. It was so mean that I was angry at first, then all I wanted to do was cry. They were not only unprofessional, but were outright mean. I've since adopted a wonderful kitten, but don't want others to suffer the way Serenity Place made me suffer. I'm almost wondering if it isn't actually a cat hoarder pretending to be a rescue.
