Programs: Lucky riders: therapeutic riding and activities serving clients with physical, cognitive, learning delays, speech/hearing, low self-esteem, vision impaired, autism, cerebral palsy, building confidence, anger management, attention deficit disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiant disorder to name a few.
equine assisted learning: well trained staff, with extensive qualifications in education and human development, outdoor recreation, and therapeutic services, provide direct learning experiences for kindergarteners to seniors from a variety of different social and economic backgrounds. Each of the experiences contains class specific activities, opportunities for self-assessment, team building, career exploration, positive peer-pressure, and much more.
team thunder: our team of miniature horses visits hospice clients, senior citizen locations and public events to bring forth many smiles and love. Specifically trained to enter into buildings, elevators and bed side visits, our team of mini horses have produced hours of motivation for students to learn, and many hours of bed side/wheel chair visits for therapy. 15 locations in 2017 to seniors, memory care, and hospice for a total of 1500 community members served. Volunteer program: volunteers take part in training for specific areas of the non-profit. From board of trustee, fund raising and development, learning horse skills, and specific skills to work with clients, our volunteers go the extra long term mile to help the success at the farm. 50+ giving over 5000 hours in 2017.
