I dedicate considerable time, energy and dollars to Friends of Seraj – most of all because I've seen for myself what a difference these libraries make for children and families in these rural West Bank villages and refugee camps. Children delight in reading, practicing computer skills, receiving tutoring by young adults. It's a very tangible support for those seeking justice and peace in the Holy Land.
I serve as the Treasurer of Seraj Library Project. The Project works with leaders in the Palestinian community to provide amazing services communities of the West Bank. In areas with no libraries and few community services, the Libraries serve as community gathering centers where education and connection to the larger world are celebrated and encouraged. Programs and services tor children are a centerpiece. http://www.serajlibrary.org/ Civic education, community by community! John Cassel, Oak Park, IL
