No. Aubrey was SENS' visionary benefactor and they binned him over some petty squabble. We are all worse off for it. Don't waste a dime on them.

The traditional political approach to the aging time-bomb is to build more hospitals or train more doctors and nurses. History will judge that the only long-term viable approach turned out to be accelerated research into regenerative medicine. Simply put, the SRF is currently the most important non-profit for humanity's future.
SENS Research Foundation is a world-leading, pioneering organisation in undertaking and funding research into ways in which to repair the harmful effects of the aging proces in our bodies which detract from our ability to enjoy life and lead to all of the age-related illnesses such as Alzheimers, heart disease, osteoporosis, type II diabetes, arthritis... The work they do is helping towards a future where we can all live much longer lives in good health, a cause which I think should be important to all of us.
By supporting SENS you are helping yourself and those you love! Ageing is not some abstract or far-away issue - it will happen to everyone, you included unless we can raise enough money to seriously accelerate the research. SENS foundation inspired me to change my career to involve directly in research - not everyone will be able to do that, but you can always engage in advocacy and donate money to help the community reach the goals faster.
SENS Research Foundation is working on the most important issue facing humanity - aging and the fatal diseases that accompany it. More people die from age-related diseases than any other cause... over 100,000 people per day. Imagine a world where we stay active and healthy regardless of our chronological age, and death is a rare thing. This is an issue that effects everyone, and supporting SENS Research will benefit everyone, for generations to come. Proud to be a recurring donor!
One of the best non-profit organization in the world. They also provide opportunity to work, to young students and they will surely end ageing.
Definitely the best nonprofit in the field of rejuvenation. I am so happy I found them and have been giving them monthly donations since then. It's so important that everyone should contribute as much as they can, so that in a common effort we can speed up the research and save the lives of our loved ones and our own.
Make a real contribution to the fight against ageing – donate to SENS! Your name will be in the next Annual Report! It does not matter, $1 or $10 000. Help science – increase your chances of unlimited life without disease. We are all in the same boat – either we all lose, or we all win.
I've always wanted to end aging since I was 5 years old. After reading Aubrey de grays book ending aging and reaserching other companies working towards immortality I firmly believe Sens will be the most likely to succeed. This organization has given my life the definitive answer as to what I want to do with my life.
SRF pursues the largely overlooked tragedy of aging - a phenomenon of the body that, without greater awareness and funding, will likely end the lives of countless billions. SRF researches therapies attacking the root cause of aging: accumulation of damage. In particular, it focuses on the more overlooked components of a comprehensive anti-aging regimen, and it works to kick-start private sector research in areas related to this, making SRF a key player in hastening the development of comprhesnive anti-aging therapies. Since over 100,000 people die of aging each day, every second counts and could potentially make a difference of thousands of lives. The importance of donating to this cause is compounded by the fact that it has been, so far, woefully negleted, although this is rapidly changing for the better. I, myself, donate and regularly keep up with new developments coming out of the foundation, and I look forward to seeing what SRF will accomplish in the coming years.
SENS tackles the most important problem in the world and is less than adequate funded, If someone is a big impact donor SENS is the organization to go, there is nothing out there were you get so much bang for your buck.
A team of truly compassionate souls working on solving quite possibly the most urgent issue underlying all of health in aging, and the degradation, mentally and physically, caused as a result of it.
The SENS Research Foundation are conducting research that could benefit every single person on the planet. They are very responsive to emails and communication, and run a very tight ship financially so that you know as much of your donation as possible is going towards research. The founders, particularly Aubrey de Grey, are even harder working than people in your average charity, as thinking about aging and death is horrible, and for now, inevitable. Horrid inevitable things are areas that humans have evolved psychological coping mechanisms not to think about, and even become upset if people insist on talking about them. So Aubrey and co have to cope with flack due to this when speaking to the public, or even a fair percentage of their "more logical" peers in the scientific community. That they take on this difficult task is inspiring.
SENS conducts amazing research toward developing cures for age-related disease. Curing aging has huge humanitarian and financial benefits.
SENS Foundation has continued to impress with their funding of research into defeating aging using the tools of modern regenerative medicine.
Against all odds, this organization continues to pursue health for all of humankind and to convince the public of this worthy cause.
One of the few research organisations out there with the agency of Curing Aging and pro-longing health for the benefit of all of humanity.
Funding and nurturing top-notch scientific research and development under the moral imperative of preventing death and suffering.
The aging population crisis is a real threat. The SENS RF is one of the most important organizations in this region of research, and perhaps in the world.
These days, there is a barrage of web sites and fund raising campaigns going on for rejuvenation technologies. It can be easy to become overwhelmed and feel unsure about where your donation dollars can help most.
This is what SENS solves. Led by the visionary Aubrey de Grey, SENS has not only a vision for robust human rejuvenation, but a definite plan how to get there, and what research and outcomes will be requires to achieve it. When I donate to SENS, I know that my donation is going to the place that most needs funding right now, to get us to a world without the diseases of old age. And who wouldn't want that!
The only foundation seriously working on the most serious problem humanity has, which is ageing and death. I changed my whole career to be able to support the cause and I encourage everybody to find some way to support their work.
SENS is targeting the biggest cause of suffering, death and disease in the world - the biological process of aging. Thanks to biotechnology and innovative approaches we may one day be able to entirely prevent age related disease like cancer, alzheimer's, heart disease and more. They have my full support!
Put some of your money where your mouth is, if you are devoted reader and follower of popular science, singularity and similar themes, and have hopes in better future, based on scientific discoveries.
I support SENS foundation because I prefer being young fit and healthy to the diseases of old age. They are pioneers in rejuvenation biotechnology and perhaps our only hope of having a set of therapies that will address the root causes of ill health within our lifetime.
SENS Research are great and I donate whenever I can spare the cash. They are researching age related diseases for a healthier future for all!
Once you conceptually grasp the implications for the potential good, this may be the single most effective way to reduce suffering on Earth.
"In a world where you could live to be 1000 or older, you buckle your seatbelt."
I donate to SENS regularly as they are currently one of the only companies working on breakthrough and innovative rejuvenation therapies which I fully trust.
I support the SENS Research Foundation because of its tireless work to raise awareness of the potential for solutions to the universal problems of aging and its practical, targetted research in this field. The foundation promotes a 'repair' or 'engineering' approach to solving the damage caused by aging which leads to us becoming vulnerable to the diseases and disabilities associated with increasing age. I am convinced by their arguments that this is an important approach that can have ground-breaking effects in the coming years in terms of longer and healthier lives for everyone if suitable funds are provided for the work that must be done.
Sens is doing extremely important work on solving one of the major challenges for humanity. Combined with Tesla and the Future of Humanity Institute, it is paving a much better future for all of us.
As a general member of the public, SENS to me is more than a scientific research. It is an opportunity to battle aging with a new prespective of being a disease and the fact that it can be slowed or even reversed. To me SENS is a gift of future, a hope to live with in the present and to continue to move ahead in my life with a knowledge of the possibility to live a long life. And this has been a gracious bestowment of SENS.
SENS Research Foundation has a great vision and does important reasearch to find cures for all the diseases of aging.
SENS is a major driver in something we should all take priority in ... ending age related diseases, pains and limitations.
They are striving and collaborating with other research centers to find bio-medical therapies that will keep us healthy, happy and going in old age. What more can you want!?? What can be a better cause? Nobody wants to suffer as they grow old to eventually vanish and be forgotten. We all want to keep going. There are so many things we still want to do and see in life.
SENS is working hard to make that happen for us.
They're not only working on bootstrapping anti-aging and rejuvenation therapies, they're also spurring discussions with the general public and regulatory instances to get us thinking about how this will impact society and how to make this available to everyone.
I've been following their tracks for several years and was skeptical at first, as we all should be to make sure we don't buy into snake-oil ... but I know for sure now that they are legit! They're the real thing and have my full support.
The writing is on the wall and it's the efforts of mostly SENS (along with a few others) that may make this happen in our live-times if they get proper funding!
This group supports respectable, direct research on the physical causes of the largest health issue shortening the lives of human beings. And, sad to say, they are terribly underfunded, and their research and practical approach is not widely emulated.
Of course, the study is about the physical repair of aging damage. It may not help you or me; The advances may come too late for us. But, perhaps, not too late for our loved-ones. Don't let them die or even become infirm when you could make a difference. Please support research to repair aging-damage.
SENS is trying to solve the largest, most suffering causing problem in the world. Everyone should help them do so even just a little bit.

The only people trying to solve the worlds biggest problem.
Old age causes more suffering than anything else and we have to stop it.
It is a tragedy that they can not get the meager 50 million a year they need to solve ageing 3 times sooner. Millions of people are going to die needless deaths unless we start believing in the cure for old age and putting in the money needed.
So please help!
SENS Research Foundation is doing groundbreaking work in a critical field that will effect everyone of us eventually. Their commitment to public education, transparency and leading the field is inspiring and transformational. Thank-you SENS!
I have donated whenever I could to the SENS foundation, they have consistently been transparent and committed to their mission by making every dollar count. The research SENS funds shows great promise and I truly believe in their ability to make a difference.
When I read about Aubrey DeGrey placing the vast majority of his inherited fortune into the SENS foundation, it struck a chord with me. That is exactly what I would do. I just wish one could find a way to get a bunch of people to contribute a very small amount, but very consistently, for example a dollar every month. To me this non-profit is a very achievable moonshot and plays to the most cherished values of humans; healthy life. I love thinking about the future and technology and I love the idea of being able to live a bit longer to see what fantastic technologies and changes will come, not just for selfish little me, since life ceases to have meaning outside of other people, but for all future generations.
I joined SENS in 2007, and it was the best decision I could have made. They are an organization with a vision of what biomedical research can achieve for humanity, with the infrastructure, expertise, funding, and personnel to make a real practical difference. they are supportive both of individual scientists and scientific programs, and their presence has already shifted the dialogue of "should we be pursuing anti-aging research" to "what would be the best way to fight aging?" I am proud to have been a member of SENS for almost ten years; I look forward to a lifetime of happy membership (hopefully a very long one!)
Not only is this foundation working really hard to solve one of humankind's most important problems, but they are also quite efficient with the limited funds they receive at the moment. Its founder and CEO, Aubrey De Grey has literally invested most of his inheritance in it to maximize the foundation's chances of finding new drugs/medical procedures that can solve many of the problems of aging as soon as possible. If you are thinking of donating to a medical charity, in my opinion, SENS Research Foundation is by far the best choice.
What's not to love about the Sens Foundation. They are the leaders in trying to solve in a big picture way the issues around ill health and age that affect us all. I know that I don't want to become less useful to those around me, have bone density issues, struggle with memory etc. I'd certainly like to be more useful to my descendants if and when I am 85 than I am currently likely to be. We owe it to the next generation to try and solve some of these issues or they may look back and not forgive us when they know that we had the technology and the resources but not the will or the commitment. Go Sens!
I think the SRF is working on an extremely important but difficult problem. Their progress to date is impressive.
SENS Research Foundation is undoubtedly one of the most important, scientifically advanced, humanitarian organizations in the world.
I'm a longtime donor and supporter of the SENS Research Foundation. Its work is deeply important to me and to the whole world.
There were three things that originally drew me to the SENS project: long term vision, risk taking, and the idea of pre-emptive repair.
The long term vision aspect is what we should expect from all charities - what they hope to achieve not over five years, but over ten, over twenty. SENS isn't about doing something flashy in the next six months to get more donations; it's about doing work that helps advance the field the most, even if it's unglamorous or of uncertain value. SENS wants to eliminate the diseases of old age; they recognize that it's going to take decades, and they're prepared for the long haul.
In regard to risk taking, the SENS projects are exciting to me precisely because they ARE risky. Some of these may never pan out, may end up being a footnote in a paper saying "this didn't work". But the things they are trying are also high reward: it only takes one success to make a material advancement in health for the elderly. Beyond this, the projects they have picked are all likely to be at least partially successful, and it is refreshing to see solid technical decisions driving project selection.
But the most appealing thing to me is their proactive stance. SENS is funding tooling, funding background chemistry and process, which can be used by others. The whole SENS approach is about fixing problems in advance, about doing the core research that will be necessary in the future, even if it is not so obviously needed now. The infrastructure and platforms being built with SENS funds provide the shoulders for future giants to stand upon, in the hope that they will be able to see further faster.
In my opinion, this is currently a very underfunded charity. That may change in the future as their budget grows, but for now the bulk of my charitable donations go to SENS.
When studying Philosophy, I heard about SENS (Strategies for Engineering/Engineered Negligible Senescence) and its founder, Aubrey de Grey. SENS (originally, and probably still) aims to abolish death from "natural causes". It does not see aging as inevitable.
Like anything, aging can, in principle, be understood and eventually overcome by scientific endeavour, I believe. From childhood on, I have found myself unable to like death, and death has a lot of social consequences which I am philosophically opposed to. The birth-rate has been revolutionised, in many countries, through the use of contraceptives, and it is time for the death-rate to be revolutionised, as well. Although I am fairly ancient myself, I am trying to see if I can retrain and provide some input into this process.
SENS Research Foundation is currently filling a much-needed gap in medical research. The views that motivate its necessity are realistic, its goal is morally imperative and urgent. I believe this is one of the most important and visionary humanistic causes in the world, and I'm happy to contribute.

By all accounts we appear to be at a pivotal time in history regarding the control of age-related deterioration and death. The implications are truly profound, and the powers at play immense. The SENS Foundation is above reproach in their eschewing the tempting power struggles, money, and political gain embedded in such a world changing endeavour and our instead simply for humanity, for the continuation of life and the conquering of age-related suffering for all. They are courageous pioneers and in my view deserve the highest praise.
My experience with SRF started when I picked up "Ending Aging. In it, the SENS agenda is thoroughly explained. However, the book left me with many questions. The team at SRF (Michael Rae, in my case) enthusiastically replied to my inquiries, offered to advise on ideas, and provided insightful feedback around topics I was looking to expand my knowledge of. My interaction with SRF made me feel welcome to an area of science I was unfamiliar with, demonstrating the foundation's high regard for public participation and understanding.
From an informational perspective, I appreciate the transparency and updates on where the funding goes. Detailed and professional monthly and yearly updates about progress are encouraging.
Bigger picture, SENS does an incredible job with balancing tangible lab results and studies with diligent public and scientific relations. Their advocacy, outreach, funded lab results, and visionary aging damage roadmap are changing the outlook of the entire biogerontological community, even changing the very concept of aging in the public awareness.
If put to the screws, SENS is the one charity I'd HAVE to donate to. Their work will quite literally change the world and save untold lives. It's up to us to give them the resources to do so.
SENS is arguably the most important anti-aging organization today. Despite billions of dollars being funneled into supplement-based and now genetic approaches to studying longevity, there is little hope that such approaches will provide any tangible results beyond knowledge in the next few decades. With the recent 25% extension of lifespan in mice following senescent cell clearance, one of the core strategies SENS has suggested as necessary targets of anti-aging medicine, more and more mainstream scientists are coming out in favor of the SENS approach, among them leaders in the field such as George Church. As a scientist in the field, I can say confidently that more funding for SENS will substantially hasten the arrival of real therapies for humans that will keep people healthier throughout their lives.
A dedicated team who are making real breakthroughs in fighting the diseases of old age which currently affect millions of people. They are also efficient organisation which communicates well with its donors and is transparent, no bloated bureaucracy eating up the dollars. If you want to end suffering in this world, this is the most efficient bang for your buck. They also focus on areas of research which are not being well investigated by others ,this is important because duplication of research is an issue which a lot of mainstream charities suffer from.
SENS has played a crucial role in raising awareness regarding research into combating the illness which become evermore common as we age. Not only has SENS raised awareness it has also mapped out a path which will lead to bringing aging itself under a decisive level of medical control with a timeframe likely to benefit most people alive today.
Personally as a researcher into anti aging medicine I don't think I would have seen the potential possibilities if it had not been for Aubrey de Grey and the SENS Foundation.
I donate to SENS and I can't think of a more worthy cause if you can spare something to help prevent a lot of suffering and misery to everyone alive because without anti aging medicine we will all ultimately become infirm and chronically sick if we live long enough.
best foundation ever. thanks for existing. donating as much as I can to help the incredibly important fight to stop and/or reverse aging within my lifetime
Ever since I heard about this organization, I have done everything I could to support it. I did my research on its history and goals. I was very impressed with the level of commitment and outreach its people have done to get others aware of a growing aging population. They want to change the paradigm of healthcare for older patients from palliative care to preventative and regenerative. I will stand by them and do all I can to support them.
SENS Research Foundation is doing the work that will revolutionize our future and bring an end to so much suffering
A wonderful organization that is researching how to treat the underlying causes of aging diseases. This is my favorite charity and receives the largest share of my donation money.
The SENS Foundation is a scientific organization taking on early stage high risk medical research no other organization would. In the last 5 years they've made headway into some of the most complex and overlooked mechanism of age related pathology.
Their focus is on developing cost efficient treatments for age related health decline and the pathology it leads to. As such they are one of few groups looking at battling aging and quite possibly the only one with a focus on affordable translational medicine.
Their work is truly unique and it will undoubtedly be a benefit for medicine and humankind.
Sens Research organization gave my life direction and showed me that I could pursue a field that is truely fulfilling, and will make a difference in the world
The SENS Research Foundation should be on every aspiring effective altruist's list. In terms of potential impact, nothing beats curing the diseases of aging, which kill 100,000 people per day and 2/3 of all people worldwide. The SENS Research Foundation is one of the most under-appreciated, under-funded charities out there. It is deserves much more attention and donations!
The SENS Foundation promotes a novel, preventative method to address age-related diseases. Their "damage-repair approach", which you can read about on their website, seems promising and makes more sense to me than any alternative approach I've heard or read about. This organization is the only one I know of that's addressing age-related decline openly, publicly and candidly with reasonable solutions for the general good of us all.
I am so grateful to SENS Research Foundation for their hard work to eliminate the diseases of aging and the suffering that is causes. Please support this noble organization.
Your work to avoid aging is my inspiration every day. I don't earn much, but 10£ of my salary go straight to your cause, because it's also my cause, and of so many. Thank you.
SENS Research Foundation is pretty much THE organization paving the way for rejuvenation biotechnologies. We should all do our best to support them in their quest to put an end to the disabilities and diseases of old age.
This nonprofit's goal is to save 100,000+ lives every day, including yours and mine. I don't think any other nonprofit could make such a huge positive impact on the well-being of mankind.
Never have I seen a non-profit so honest and unrelenting in their work to tackle the Goliath of aging for what it is. This is the kind of passion and dedication that's going to create lasting change in the world for the better. I'm honored to be a part of this effort.
The SENS Foundation is a leader in solutions to advance health and well-being by transforming the way the world researches and treats age-related disease. They make outstanding contributions with research, education and advocacy.
SENS Foundation's research and funds are very important for research for age related illnesses. The research focuses on regenerative medicines to repair the damage underlying diseases related to aging.
The research we fund at universities around the world and at our own Research Center uses regenerative medicine to repair the damage underlying the diseases of aging.
SENS Research Foundation funds and conducts extremely important research in areas of bio-medicine that other parts of the scientific community are currently neglecting. They've also been instrumental in getting the mainstream scientific community to accept that tackling the fundamental biology of aging as a way of treating age-related diseases is a legitimate and important scientific goal.
