Mission: To foster independence and enhance the quality of life of older adults by providing innovative services and caregiver support.
Target demographics: SSA fosters independent living for older adults as a provider of innovative services and caregiver support.
Direct beneficiaries per year: We are privileged to partner with more than 300 volunteers to enable thousands of older adults to live as independently as possible and remain in the community which they helped to build.
Geographic areas served: For more than 60 years, Senior Services of Albany (SSA) has developed and delivered an array of valuable and cost effective services to seniors of the Capital Region.
Programs: We have a proud reputation for serving a racially, economically and culturally diverse population of elderly individuals and their caregivers. We have social adult day programs, meals on wheels programs, grocery shopping assistants and friendly home visitors as well as activity coordinators.
