Mission: Rescue and re-home senior dogs
Programs: This fiscal year we rescued 54 senior dogs, we found permanment homes for 63 (this includes dogs already in our rescue at the beginning of the current fy). One dog was provided veterinarian care and returned to her previous owner. Eleven dogs were deemed hospice and 9 have since passed away. We saved fewer dogs this year because we have been taking in the worst of the worst in terms of physical health. These are dogs that are passed over by adopters and other rescues are slated for euthanasia by the shelthers. As a result of these rescues our cost for providing medical care for each dog has risen. Most were able to make well, a few were not.
