Mission:
The mission of Senior Community Services is to develop, coordinate and provide services that help meet the needs of older adults and support their caregivers. Our goals and objectives are to enhance the independence, involvement, opportunities, and quality of life of older adults.
Programs: Programs currently operated by the agency include the Senior Centers and Community Senior Groups Program (7 senior centers and many groups serving over 40 municipalities - congregate dining, Meals-on-Wheels coordination, health screenings, exercise, foot clinics, classes) ; The Dial-a-Ride Transportation Program (lift equipped buses provide door to door service and volunteer drivers utilizing their own cars); Senior Outreach Program (in-home counseling and case management/care coordination - services arranged as per need); and the H.O.M.E. (Household & Outside Maintenance for Elderly) Program (painting, repairs, homemaking, snow shoveling, yard work).
