Selah Freedom did amazing things and helped me through some of the worst times of my life. They have a great message and the only thing I would have them work on is their mental health division. Though they provide a lot they also lack knowledge in the mental health department. Which is a huge part of working with trafficking survivors, we have gone through horrifying experiences and have trauma and wounds that can manifest in a variety of different ways. Due to their lack of knowledge in that department I was transferred to a mental health facility to continue treatment elsewhere.
However, with the right knowledge and resources I believe I would have been able to stay and finish my journey there.
I am a survivor of sex trafficking and graduate of the Selah Freedom Residential program. This life changing organization helped me get to a place where I thought I would never be. They loved me and encouraged me like no one else has ever had. I was healed from the trauma I experienced, I learned important life skills. The curriculum is amazing. I obtained my GED. I started as a volunteer for Selah Freedom back in 2020. From their values to their wrap-around approach to helping survivors, I've always felt pulled to be a part of the organization.
As a volunteer, I was impressed with how much training I received and how much care was put into the training. It made me feel like I was well-equipped and made me feel more confident!
Selah runs beautiful safe homes, has birthday, sobriety, and Christmas parties for the women, and it's so rewarding to see the women thrive. They truly help the survivors work on their college and career goals and are there by their side for anything and everything.
I also highly recommend their free awareness trainings, which are highly informative. They can do them online and in-person, and they have a monthly training over Zoom.
I had the privilege of working with Selah Freedom, and I cannot speak highly enough about this incredible organization. I have been involved with this excellent organization for over three years. I am always excited to see the progress we have made and our huge growth ahead of us. With over 300,000 American girls and women trafficked in the US each year, our services are desperately needed. When we open a new home, it is filled almost immediately with women trying to find a way out of being enslaved. I am thankful this organization has worked hard to expose trafficking for what it really is and changing the mindsets from prostitution to human trafficking. They also are focused on preventing human trafficking with multiple programs from treating survivors in residential homes to outreach and prevention in the communities. I can say from being on one of the house renovation committees, every dollar is accounted for and scrutinized. Selah Freedom gives a voice to the vioceless and taking a stand that our young girls and women are not for sale. Selah is making positive changes and I am very proud to be part of this organization.

I've never seen a more holistic and complete program for preparing survivors to thrive in the real world. Selah sees to residents' physical needs, emotional needs, spiritual needs, and educational needs. As the Educational Advocate for Selah, it has been a joy to watch broken and battered women become strong and empowered women who understand their worth and look forward to a bright future that previously seemed out of reach. One of my favorite instances was when a resident came to me and told me that she had no aptitude for math, and she knew this because she always failed her math classes in school. She had been told her entire life that she was not smart. I knew this to be 100% false, and challenged this thinking. After a few short weeks, I overheard her telling her mom over the phone, "I'm really good at math, and it's actually a lot of fun!" This is what Selah is all about: Changing minds and challenging the lie that these women are worthless and incapable of doing great things.
Working with Selah Freedom has been a truly amazing experience. The model and leadership are of the utmost integrity, and sincere in their plight to give each survivor the necessary tools and resources to restructure their lives to be healthy, productive and insightful into their whole being.
The success rate of Selah Freedom's residential program is 75% of sex trafficking survivors who graduate from the program do not return to the life. The Selah Freedom prevention program educates minors about how to protect themselves from exploitation and trafficking. Law enforcement is given training to know how to bring services to survivors so they are no longer treated like the criminal. Amazing work is being done at Selah Freedom!

It is an honor to be a part of a team that is so invested in its mission, yet always taking time to invest in its employees, volunteers and supporters alike. I have had the pleasure of watching Selah Freedom grow since 2011, saving thousands of lives of survivors of sex trafficking. Through all of its growth, they have stayed true to their dna and core values, and that, I believe, attributes to their amazing success. They have created programs that specifically meet the needs of this population and are always innovating their programs to make a greater impact.
Four years ago I met the founders of Selah Freedom at a safe house for a tour with other new volunteers and supporters and left feeling so compelled to this cause that I find myself telling new people I meet about Selah Freedom on a regular basis. Having a young daughter has brought this cause home to our family as we were awoken to the facts that I had been completely unaware of. Selah has always been incredibly grateful to all of the volunteers and supporters and they have never lost sight of the details and the individuals in their growth. This is a very delicate balance that is rarely accomplished when growth in any organization is involved. All someone has to do to find out what an amazing cause and organization Selah Freedom continues to be is to reach out and ask how they can help.
Selah Freedom is an organization that has had a profound impact on the lives of those that they serve. The level of commitment and passion from each employee and volunteer is one that I have yet to encounter anywhere else. In the 4 years I have been fortunate enough to be involved in a variety of supporting roles, I have watched a level of accountability to not only those served, but those who serve that is inspiring. Selah Freedom has not only grown within its own parameters, this organization has embraced any opportunity to assist and/or support other similar organizations. '1 out of 3 girls in the United States is sexually abused.'
'12 to 14 years old is the average age of entry into sex trafficking.'
'80% of runaways are approached by a trafficker within 48 hours of leaving home.'
As a father of two little girls, these statistics are more than I can bear. As a follower of Christ, my heart aches for those whose lives are enveloped in darkness. That's why I am eternally grateful for the amazing organization of Selah Freedom! The work they do to rescue young ladies and women from these horrific circumstances, educate community and law enforcement, raise awareness and diminish these statistics through prevention is something I personally believe in. This Christmas, my company has partnered with a local church in an effort to provide the #BestChristmasEver. We are raising funds and awareness via social media in order to purchase gifts, dinner and fellowship to the survivors living at the Selah Freedom Residential House. For some of these women, this will be the first 'real' Christmas experience they have ever had. This is an amazing opportunity we have been blessed with to shower these women with love, no strings attached. We hope that through our small efforts, these women can experience an increase in self-worth and see themselves as having an amazing, God-given purpose!

I was mislead by Selah Freedom. I was hired as an employee for two different job position, so I was told. Come to find out after training and orientation "they called it" For my life, my choice that I wasn't promised a job after I was told I was. Then I was hired on as a coach for the girls, went through all the paperwork and put on Schedule after training and orientation to get a phone call 2 days before stating they decided to give my job position to someone else. They are very misleading g is their hiring process, font quit your day job for this over glorified position they promise you. Btw- it says full time, you'll only get 3-4 shifts of 6 hrs a week.
