We are so happy with our experience raising funds through SeedMoney. The format for fundraising is exciting and creates a healthy competitive environment. The method of fundraising is innovative and once we figured it out we were greatly motivated by being involved in the SeedMoney fundraiser. The founder, Roger Doiron was available at all times and helped us every step of the way and we were very impressed with his commitment.

The funds will immediately be impactful here at our garden in Grenada, especially after the impacts of Hurricane Beryl. We have been able to buy tools to clear the land and hire more young people from the community to engage in the agricultural field. We are focused on helping farmers throughout Grenada reinvest in cacao farming after the hurricane because it not only provides sustainable income for the farmers but also keeps the many chocolate makers on the island in business. This value adding process from tree to chocolate bar is part of the future of agriculture remaining profitable on this small Caribbean Island.

This year, we raised $5000 toward our New Leaf Community Orchards project. SeedMoney has helped us support our project through donations from our community that we would not normally be able to reach. This will allow us to continue installing orchards in neighborhoods, parks, and schools in Green Bay, Wisconsin. We are working to curb food insecurity and plant seeds of self-reliance, confidence, and hope. In addition through our Bountiful Branches project, we are cultivating a backyard orchard culture and teaching families to grow food and be part of an urban agriculture community. SeedMoney helps New Leaf Foods, inc. remain a sustainable organization in our community.

Seedmoney is the best fundraising tool we have at the Fort Story Community Garden! As a community garden organizer fundraising is the most time consuming part of the job and money is harder and harder to find. Using a free platform that doesn't skim money off the top of direct donations AND gives us the opportunity to match for grants is a fantastic way for our garden to earn money!

SeedMoney has been helping our gardens grow for several years now. We install garden boxes, orchards and fruit and nut trees and bushes in the Green Bay Wisconsin area. The money we raise from this fundraiser helps to fund the free gardens and orchards that we install at schools, educational institutions, libraries, veterans centers, pantries, and social agencies. We give garden boxes, trees and bushes to families of local schools that are in the most diverse and low income neighborhoods in our state. SeedMoney helps us to raise money from our community that we would normally not be able to do. This crowdfunding service also rewards us with money which helps to give incentive to our donors.

Thank you to Roger and the folks at SeedMoney for the generous donation to our school garden at River City Science Academy Middle High School in Jacksonville Florida. This will allow us to grow even more food this year! It will also continue our mission to teach our students about how to grow their own food, making healthy choices, and about sustainability practices in agriculture. Thank you so much!

On behalf of everyone at Educational Sustainability Mobilization, thank you for playing such an important role in helping us raise funds and awareness about our services in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Our elementary school garden raised $760 through the SeedMoney Challenge last year. The change in the garden and our program is amazing! We feel like we have accomplished so much this year, from having no tools and an overgrown garden, to a beautiful new tool shed, tools and a functioning greenhouse!

Our project has been working with SeedMoney for the past 4 years and has raised over $3600 during that time. We're currently in a drought here but our amazing garden volunteers are undaunted. They are watering and weeding and working hard to keep our plants growing. Our food pantry participants are loving the fresh greens!

Our garden ramped up outreach efforts this spring with new banners, educational materials on the benefits of growing your own organic produced, the importance of nurturing butterfly larvae ( especially Monarchs/we are a Monarch Waystation). We've partnered with a school program to provide interim growing space while their new garden is built and with Gardeners for farm stand distribution of produce that we grow for the community. SeedMoney helped us think outside the box with our fundraising and that's been SO helpful!

We are thankful for SeedMoney because they gave us a platform to conduct our first successful fundraising campaign. The funds from this campaign enabled us to purchase seedlings, fruit trees and soil.

Thanks so much to SeedMoney for helping us raise money for the garden blitz project. We celebrated our tenth year of installing gardens in schools, residential yard, and community organizations in the green bay Wisconsin area.

SeedMoney has helped RCAM’s Community Garden grow in countless ways over the years. Since its start as a small attempt to increase access to local fresh produce by teaching families how to grow their own veggies, with just a few participants, each year RCAM has increased the number of families gardening at home. This year, in addition to a large community garden in one rural town, we’ve added two other community gardens, increased the number of first-time gardeners, and have a new system in place to partner with local summer backpack programs and distribute fresh produce to 13 food pantries.

In Uganda, Youth Future Farmers of Africa (YoFFA) Uganda is using the funding received in last year's SeedMoney campaign to support gardening at 10 secondary schools and 01 primary school. So far, we have received stories of schools starting their vegetable gardens and using the created learning spaces as laboratories for learning as they are used for Experiential learning of agriculture, related sciences, English language, Fine Art, and Maths. Educators implementing these school gardens hope to use the garden products to supplement their school meals and donate the rest to homes in need. We thank our donors for supporting our campaign. Our goal is to create hundreds of gardens across Uganda and use such for experiential learning, growing young leaders, and using the same for farmers' education.

We moved Riverside Garden to a new site this winter--a beautiful sunny site with one major flaw: no water. SeedMoney empowered us to purchase frost-proof water hydrants, an essential for every garden.

SeedMoney support helped us to empower a group of 30 disadvantaged women with materials and seedlings for their garden project. The garden provided food and cash for the women and their families.

SeedMoney was so easy to use to raise money for our Food Bank Garden. The time pressure of 30 days, as well as the prize of the crowd grants makes it easy to communicate your need to donors and get them on board. Additional rewards, such as the gardening gift certificate offered partway through the 30 days, give you something to talk about and offer your donors. We managed to raise almost 900 dollars and secured a 200 dollar challenge grant. This would have never been possible without SeedMoney's platform and support!

We are thrilled to have participated in this crowdfunding initiative, bringing fresh produce to families living at or below poverty level. The opportunity to raise funds over 30 days is a much better model than the one day hit or miss. This site is managed professionally and provided many timely marketing resources. We are grateful to SeedMoney for this opportunity.

Roger and his organization, SeedMoney , are simply amazing. I got sidetracked with other obligations and meant to submit our campaign but noticed at the last minute that that task had skipped my mind. I contacted Roger and he so graciously allowed me to submit my campaign when he really didn’t have to. I had some computer issues and Roger helped me without hesitation. I am thankful to him and his kind heart. Any questions I had, he responded immediately. Roger wanted all the campaigns to succeed and for that we thank you Roger and SeedMoney! Although we didn’t reach our overall goal, I found that the people I sent donation requests to, and then a kind reminder, ultimately donated. I think I will do that again next year because what I realized is, life happens, people get busy and forget. Sending a gentle, kind reminder allows them to put that task at the top of their priority list.

Our goal is to educate, and elevate ourselves through the Art of growing healthy foods while nurturing Mother Earth. SeedMoney ignited a fire under us helping us reach our financial goals!!

When a friend told us excitedly about the SeedMoney fundraising platform, I was dubious because I have never done fundraising before. What a delight! SeedMoney helped our school gardens program in astonishing ways. The number of teachers who contributed at high levels reassured us that this program is valued and important for the children. Families, local organisations, and new supporters joined right in, solidifying and re-energizing our personal investments in this worthwhile garden-based learning program. SeedMoney's template and instructions eased us over hesitations around online fundraising, and the ongoing coaching, sample language and graphics taught us so much. Seeing all the other school garden projects around the world inspired us, too. This online campaign gave us an excuse to celebrate Salt Spring Elementary's garden accomplishments in local media and reach out to businesses and past supporters to thank them and ask them to share the donation link. SeedMoney's innovative "crowd-granting" model energized our supporters, and definitely provided more than just a fundraising platform, leading to a greater sense of appreciation and new connections we'd never dreamed of. As an established community garden we had never explored online crowdfunding before. Very happy we did it through SeedMoney! They offered loads of help throughout our campaign with promoting it and gave us grant money to magnify the impact of individual donations. They were also very responsive to our concerns when we had any, including overnight mailing our check for the donations when it got lost in the mail. 5 stars out of 5!

SeedMoney has a systemic positive effect on communities of every kind. In our case not only are we able to expand our open harvest garden but also to provide a market garden to provide produce for a food co-op. The Delridge Grocery Co-Op is the first healthy food option to operate in the West Seattle Delridge food desert in more than 20 years. The new store will be able to provide jobs for local citizens. With the support of our volunteers at Puget Ridge Edible Park we will be able to provide low cost, locally grown organic produce as an oasis in a food desert.

As an organization, Grow Local South Texas has a mission to grow a healthy, local community by improving access to, education about and advocacy for affordable, nutrient-dense foods. SeedMoney has helped us over the past few years to further this mission by improving healthy, local food access in a low food access neighborhood by providing funds to expand our Food Forest area where the neighborhood has 24 hr access to fresh fruits on our fruit trees (when in season). SeedMoney has also helped us further our mission in both areas of access and education by helping us rebuild our hoophouse which was heavily damaged during Hurricane Harvey. Our hoophouse allows us to start new plants and keep plant starts and young trees safe during adverse weather conditions. It is used in all of our educational programming, including our important youth education programs, and provides an easy and safe garden education area for our youngest garden visitors. It also furthers food access in our area by allowing us to increase our food-producing plant starts and keep them safe and healthy.

The site is easy to use, and Roger's email reminders with eye catching graphics and communication templates help you keep your campaign moving right along towards your goal. I've been using SeedMoney for the past several years, and I can't imagine a better way to crowdsource for school gardens. Keep up the amazing work!

Working with SeedMoney helped us empowered a group of 10 Ebola affected women who had no source of income and food security . The garden project has given the women some level of food security and source of income. They are now able to provide food for their children and other family members plus send their children to school.

SeedMoney has helped the Master Gardeners expand food gardening experiences for detained youths at our Juvenile Justice Center. This included developing an indoor grow area and an outdoor hoop house to help us teach them about a broad range of food gardening experiences. Further, SeedMoney helped us work with refugee homeowners at 7 Habitat for Humanity homes to allow them to grow some of their own food. This fundraising approach was easy and attracted many new donors to our efforts.

The Rural Community Action Ministry Community Garden provides fresh vegetables to 13 food pantries in the 14 rural towns in Central and Western Maine served by RCAM - The project's mission is to increase access to fresh and nutritious foods for the very low-income rural isolated residents experiencing financial crisis. SeedMoney was key this past year in helping RCAM strengthen its support with the food pantry network as it increased our ability to make weekly deliveries from the bounty of our Community Garden and coordinate resources. Although our SeedMoney crowdfunding goal fell short in financial terms, it surpassed expectations by increasing awareness and visibility of the food insecurity and daily hunger so many of our rural residents face. This resulted in a generous donation of a roadside stand now used to offer free veggies to anyone in need. Local gardeners frequently leave their extra veggies at the stand and it has become a "hub" for veggie distribution. Thanks to SeedMoney, RCAM's Community Garden project has new energy and capacity to increase its support for our food pantries.

Isaiah 55, Inc. grows food to offer healthy alternatives to the homeless and less fortunate. SeedMoney has helped us get needed tools, supplies and seeds for our mission. Because of seedmoney there are people who learned about fresh healthy foods and tasted fresh healthy foods.

SeedMoney has been a great way for us to bring awareness to our school garden and get our local community involved in raising funds to keep our garden growing for our students. The goal challenge has created excitement in our community to reach fundraising goals to win additional grants from SeedMoney. We have used the funds to maintain the garden purchase plants, items, and adaptive tools for our students that cannot use traditional gardening tools.

SeedMoney allowed my students their first crack at attempting to raise funding for our garden in an accessible, fun way. It spurred good conversation amongst students and families and resulted in people beyond just our garden club students becoming interested and involved in the garden, including parents! This was a huge encouragement to students even though we didn't hit our funding goals. The money we did raise however, went to building new garden beds, which has led to a renewed sense of accomplishment and pride in the garden from all the students involved.

Fundraising for an all-volunteer group is always a challenge, being from a small town, we have limited options on who to approach and how often we can “hit up” someone for garden fundraising. The ease of working with SeedMoney not only expands our potential sponsor pool but reinforces our professionalism in fundraising activities. We have been sponsored from individuals who have no or little connections with the Deep South, but do understand the efforts to improve lives we striving for. We rely on the work SeedMoney does to keep our community service moving and growing.

Isaiah 55, Inc. is a nonprofit that grows food for the less fortunate. We operate with donations from kind hearted people and committed volunteers. We have been honored to participate in the SEED MONEY fundraiser for two years now. We were so pleased to receive a $200 grant this year. $200 can go a very long way in gardening. We're using their garden planner for the 2nd year in a row and love it. We've printed the garden plan and sealed them in ziplock bags for the kids to have a "map" of the garden when they come help. Such a great organization. Keep it up SeedMoney!

As a small community garden, we know how hard it is to raise funds for the many expenses in maintaining and growing a productive garden. We are a small, democratic school in Kennebunk, ME. on a shoestring budget. Thanks to Seed Money, we can purchase new supplies and seeds for our brand new greenhouse that our students and teacher built themselves (with the help of a few adult volunteers).

Our Organic Gardening/Greenhouse Curriculum is designed to introduce our students to the joy and satisfaction that comes from growing organic vegetables and herbs from seed – through 4 seasons. They’ll visit the growing number of CSA’s and Farmer’s Markets in our area to learn how farmers make their living. They will also learn about nutrition, soil and plant science, botany, biodiversity, permaculture, economics and history – and get to be outdoors exercising as they learn. But our most important goal is to create life-long gardeners.

Our class is currently constructing a permanent greenhouse where we can grow greens during the winter and start seedlings in early spring. Marylyn Wentworth, an organic gardener for 50 years, is leading the class from designing the greenhouse, to choosing what seeds to order and then learning how to plant, cultivate and harvest them both indoors and in the outdoor garden. We'll start by growing heirloom varieties that will withstand Maine's short growing season. Thank you SEED MONEY - you're helping to create a new generation of gardeners!

In 2016, revenues from the sale of chile powder produced at The Crazy Chile Farm in Mesa AZ, funded 27,500 pounds of food for Hurricane Harvey relief. We also funded over 25,000 meals for food bank distribution agencies in Arizona. Thanks to the monies raised through SeedMoney, we are expanding the Farm and adding a greenhouse to better control seedling production! Many thanks!!

The Kennebunk Community Garden's experience with SeedMoney.org is extremely positive.
Because of them: 1) We have been made more aware of the degree of food insecurity that exists in our country. 2) We have learned that we as a community garden, can in fact help to alleviate this situation at the local level. 3) Being the recipient of grant funds has allowed us to better maintain our garden, purchase more seeds, thus increasing our weekly yield of produce which enables us to donate more to our local food pantries.
