Seed has been the missing puzzle piece to what I've always been passionate about: supporting organizations that positively impact our community and environment. From building key skills that translate into my personal career, to volunteering and giving back to the San Diego community, I love working with like-minded Seeders in solving problems in protecting our climate.

I have been with Seed for the past 3 years. It has been a great place for networking, learning more about sustainability and networking. People are collaborative in Seed and it offers a lot of opportunities for young professionals to connect beyond their domain. Highly recommended!

I was able to gain professional experience at this non-profit while doing good in the sustainability space, all the while finding strong community of like-minded individuals. I was blessed to have been able to help with such a meaningful and professional cause :)

I joined as a volunteer consultant during my MBA to get a little consutling experience, and fell in love with the impactful work for sustainability focused non-profits and the genuine, like-minded people I had the pleasure to work with.

Highly recommend Seed as a great place to volunteer and a top notch pro-bono & low-bono consulting firm.

I can't remember exactly how I learned about Seed, but I was searching for opportunities to contribute to environmental initiatives. One of the leaders at SeedLA contacted me and we had a lovely conversation about their pro bono consulting model. Before I knew it, I was attending the kick-off event, meeting other people committed to the social and environmental good, and on a team with talented people working on an interesting project. Seed has a fantastic onboarding and training process, with its leadership - everyone from the ED to the project managers - committed to your professional development. Teams of people who have never met unite around a common goal; delivering excellent service that helps address a nonprofit's challenge. I cannot say enough good things about Seed. I have been a team member and a project manager, and learned a lot in both roles.

Volunteering with Seed Consulting Group is the ultimate mutually beneficial relationship.

You are giving your time and valuable skills to a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping other non-profits reach their goals. Non-profits tend to be perpetually desirous of the type of skills and expertise that Seed CG attracts and cultivates.

Seed is dedicated to both helping organizations be more efficient and further developing the business and leadership capabilities of its members. Giving your time to Seed Consulting Group and its partners turns out to be the most professionally enhancing and rewarding volunteer experience one could ever imagine. Invariably, each and every one of the incredibly talented individuals in the network of volunteering professionals feels they are receiving far more than they are giving; an opinion curiously shared by the nonprofit partners as well.

The following statement is preempted by acknowledging in advance its current cliche, but it is without hyperbole that volunteering with Seed presents opportunities that could change your life.

I started working with Seed as a consultant to learn more about consulting while making an impact on sustainability, and had an amazing experience! I met lifelong friends, learned a lot, helped clients, and gained valuable professional experience. When I started volunteering, I was a scientist. Based on my learnings, I pivoted into consulting and now am a leader at a top consulting firm (still making an impact in a topic related to sustainability!). Seed is a very special organization that benefits all. I highly recommend getting involved if you’re interested in learning and contributing in the field of sustainability.

Seed Consulting Group has been a wonderful experience for me over the last 6+ years to serve my community and further the interests of environmental non-profits in California. I have been able to enhance my own skillsets and personal development through the opportunities as a consultant, project manager, chapter leader, and national team member. Seed has a fantastic alumni network that is intelligent, diverse, and passionate. Highly recommend joining this volunteer organization!

They are an awesome group of professionals committed to serving the environmental non-profit space. In particular, balanced teams with mixed skill sets guarantee innovative results for clients.

I've been volunteering with Seed for more than three years. Seed has given me the opportunity to grow and give back to the community. Seed helped me find the areas of personal development where I lacked in and gave me opportunities to become better. I was able to make a lot of connections within my work stream and the environmental nonprofits industry.

I've been volunteering with Seed for 5 years, and the experience has taught me so much more than I ever could have anticipated. Not only have I gotten hands-on experience solving problems for local sustainability non-profits, but I've also learned so many new skills from research for those projects, picked up new approaches to my work from incredibly talented teammates, and been given the opportunity to expand my leadership voice. On top of all that, I've also found a passionate community of peers that care about the same causes as me and who I'm lucky to count as friends.

I volunteered for Seed Consuling group for 6 years in a variety of roles. What makes Seed special, compared to so many different organizations, is that you work with a small team of volunteers with a wide variety of backgrounds, growing immensely in my skillset, all while making an impact on my community. Would highly recommend for anyone interested in either sharing their skills with the nonprofit community or looking to grow their own skills

I’ve worked with Seed for over five years and have found it extremely rewarding. The types of professionals who volunteer here are high caliber, and the work is much higher impact than any other nonprofit I’ve been with. I recommend trying out a Seed cycle if you enjoy problem solving and are looking for a way to leverage your own professional skills.
