Mission: Secret knowledge is an oregon nonprofit corporation formed to offer educational programming to the public. Secret knowledge offers classes, workshops, art exhibits, and performances designed to educate attendees. Subject areas of focus include cultural education, creativity, arts, and helping creative people to build skills needed to succeed as independent artists.
Programs: Workshops - in 2014 secret knowledge offered 15 workshops which reached 78 individuals. Secret knowledge developed curriculum for 11 different workshops aimed at giving working class artists & musicians the "skills you need to make it here. " topics included crowdfunding, poster design software, personal finance for people with variable monthly incomes, and targeted marketing. Most workshops were offered on a free/pay-what-you-can basis.
video lessons - in 2014 our video lessons reached over 1000 viewers online, thanks in part to in-kind advertising support from google. In 2014 secret knowledge produced and published 2 video lessons of our workshops, and began production of several additional videos for release in 2015. Videos are available to watch on our website, for free.
