Maureen and Terry are dedicated to the animals in their care as well as advocate for all animals in need. They have a beautiful facility where dogs roam the 40 acres and enjoy a paradise lifestyle. A no kill philosophy where they will go above and beyond to provide the necessary medical treatment along with loving human interaction. They have may wonderful dogs available for adoption.

Programs: Second chance animal refuge society (scars) provides love, shelter and veterinary care to abused and abandoned dogs in the eastern area of kansas. The mission is to find the dogs a permanent, loving and healthy home or temporary accommodations until a permanent home becomes available.
