I delivered mail for the USPS and the Seagate food bank was part of my route for almost 2 years. I saw first hand how they helped my customers in the surrounding neighborhood. The community is very appreciative for the necessities the food bank provided to them. Many in the area struggle to make ends meet and the food bank ensures so many can provide food to eat for their families. All of the personnel at the food bank always greeted me with a smile and a wave. I hold everyone at the food bank in high regards they are all amazing people that provide a service of incredible importance. Warren Winterhalter

Ordinary people doing an extraordinary job in helping feed over 130,000 each and every month. Started ing a garage in 1977. The staff is only eleven, so they must count on hundreds of volunteers to help package and distribute food AT NO COST to over 400 pantries and programs in northwest Ohio. There's is a real success story and they are the only independent food bank in all of Ohio! All donations and monies stay local; no national dues to pay like Feeding America-affiliated organizations. Ask a result, they need financial support to continue to grow and maintain their 85,000 square food warehouse, cooler and freezer.

They don't have people to host major dinner-auctions (and it's out of character for them) so they hold the No Show Gala each year, host a Scramble For Food golf event and rely on donations to fund Milk Money for Kids programs and much more. This is a fabulous, but small, organization. Even so, they distribute over 14 million pounds of food each year to those in need. Funding is needed for many maintenance items, such as compressors, etc and they are sorely in need of updating their outdated computer systems.

Fantastic grassroots organization that currently serves 438 food pantries and over 130,000 people each month with a staff of only ten. Personable and friendly environment. Never charges for food. A wonderful volunteer opportunity.

The High Street Hunger Fighters is a group of about 20 committed individuals who are ambassadors for SeaGate Food bank and its many programs.
