What has Sea Save Foundation done lately? I've been donating for years. The achievements they claim were all from a decade ago. Even the photos posted here are very old. All I see now is a lot of begging for donations and volunteers so the founder and her partner can take expensive scuba diving trips and avoid paying income taxes. The newsletter is rehashed content from other websites with no original stories. Meetings are attended virtually. Their tax returns are vague and are missing important information. My requests for this info has gone ignored. There are many nonprofits who are using their money to make a difference. Sea Save Foundation is not one of them.

As a high school junior, my love for the ocean drives me to stay connected with Sea Save. I look forward to their 'Ocean Week in Review' every Friday—though, with my busy schedule, I sometimes only manage to skim the titles! Still, it's a great way to stay updated on the latest ocean news. From their efforts to reduce plastic pollution to their advocacy for international policy changes, Sea Save Foundation has proven to be a vital force in the global effort to preserve our oceans for future generations. What stands out to me is their transparency and willingness to educate the public on complex environmental issues in a way that is accessible and empowering.

Volunteering with Sea Save Foundation has been an inspiring and rewarding experience. As someone eager to build a career in the nonprofit sector, this opportunity has provided invaluable insights. Every week, I contribute by summarizing ocean-related news for the "Ocean Week in Review," a digest that keeps the public informed about the critical issues facing our oceans.

The dedication of the team is remarkable, and the quality of our work is exceptional. Educating people about complex and ever-changing ocean conservation topics is no small feat, but our team consistently rises to the challenge. What's even more inspiring is the diversity within our group, with passionate volunteers hailing from the U.S., U.K., North Macedonia, and Ghana. It's incredible to collaborate with such a globally diverse and committed group of individuals, all working towards a shared goal of making a difference for the planet.

I’m truly proud to be part of an organization that fills such an important gap by keeping the public informed and engaged with ocean conservation.

I volunteer for the Sea Save Foundation to raise awareness of our oceans—both the dire problems that need fixing and the awesome wonders in them that are worth saving. Also, I’m not fond of superficial fixes. In contrast, this organization goes to the heart of problems by lobbying for policy changes at the United Nations (CITES), thereby helping enact international laws protecting oceans worldwide.

I was introduced threw a family member, until then I hadn’t truly took interest or was aware of the all the mass garbage/ trash that was floating in our oceans. It saddens me to see or hear about the whales, sharks and other sea life drowning or during due to human negligence of throwing out nets, fishing line and especially straws. Straws that get caught in the nostrils of turtles. When my husband and I were made aware of these issues, my husband made sure that our household disposable of straws and plastics utensils in containers so as not to be strewn on the ground during trash pickup. We are trying our best and showing our children the same and to be aware of what is happening in our oceans and lands.

I first noticed Sea Save b/c a beautiful white shepherd dog was wearing a “Sea Save” Vest and the dog was “talking” (being friendly) with several people in my local ocean park while the owners were picking up garbage and trash in the vicinity. I asked a lot of questions and they gave a lot of answers. Sea Save is good for our environment, oceans, and they make our world a better place to live in. Please support Sea Save…every little bit helps and is appreciated. If every person picked up just one piece of trash every day, imagine what our world would look like. Lets not forget about the oceans, and the water we drink, and the sea life we can save. That’s what Sea Save does when we can’t.

I am honored to serve on the board of directors for the Sea Save Foundation, a remarkable non-profit organization dedicated to ocean conservation. Sea Save's commitment to preserving our planet's precious oceans is truly commendable.
What sets Sea Save apart is its unique combination of being a small, nimble organization while simultaneously making a significant global impact. This enables us to adapt to emerging environmental challenges while ensuring we stay ahead of the curve in our conservation efforts.

One aspect that truly stands out is Sea Save's focus on education. In a world where environmental awareness is more critical than ever, Sea Save excels in educating individuals about the importance of ocean conservation through our weekly newsletter, “Ocean Week in Review.” This commitment to empowering people to make positive changes is both inspiring and rare in the non-profit sector.

By actively engaging with the community, advocating for marine protection through the CITES, and partnering with other like-minded organizations, Sea Save Foundation is at the forefront of global ocean conservation efforts.

Sea Save Foundation's dedication to safeguarding our oceans make them a force to be reckoned with in the field of ocean conservation. I look forward to continuing to work with this incredible organization that is making a real difference as we strive to protect our oceans for generations to come.

I recently became a member of the Sea Save Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting our oceans by promoting awareness of marine ecosystems and advancing international public policy. I joined just before the 2022 Conference of the Parties to CITES. It was an exciting and fulfilling experience to witness the protection of entire families of sharks and rays, including all requiem sharks, guitarfish, and hammerhead sharks. This was a significant achievement in countering the 70% decline in shark populations over the last 50 years. As a volunteer, I help produce the Ocean Week in Review (OWIR) newsletter, which is a way the foundation raises awareness of marine ecosystems and the challenges they face. The newsletter is sent to over 30,000 readers and provides a summary of headline-making ocean news from around the world.

The issues faced by our oceans and their biodiversity are many and are complex and they extend far beyond the oceans themselves. SeaSave has been a consistent voice for the oceans for many years, first as documenters of ocean life and the issues that affect them. Then, as active ambassadors in world forums such as CITES, providing expert opinion and much-needed science-based input to the major decisions that affect species protection and sustainability. They also support conservation programs in Cocos Island National park (Costa Rica) and generously shares extraordinary images and videos of spectacular ocean life.

Run by passionate and dedicated volunteers, SeaSave is an example of a small, lean, and effective organization focusing on the issues they are best qualified to address.

I met Georgienne Bradely, over 17 years ago, at a Wildlife Film Festival. What was so admirable about Georgienne was her enthusiasm, dedication, incredible knowledge, involvement and affinity for the marine environment. Her Foundation, Sea Save, was one of the first non-profit organizations focused on "Blue-Economics", realizing the oceans devastation which needed attention "yesterday"! My experience with Sea Save Foundation,, has inspired me to promote, create and be a voice for our marine environment. I have been an advocate for Sharks for over 15 years producing, writing, filming & photographing Shark documentaries for Discovery. Sea Save has an extraordinary group of experts & volunteers that go beyond the 'call of duty" to generate much needed international attention from Shark-Finning, sustainability of our coastal areas, reef conservation and our marine eco-system this world is so dependent on for survival. Sea Save has the ability to capture images, video, of the reality of our global marine system that is a "Voice" of our Oceans. So many species are at risk, it's the human impact of our oceans that Sea Save Foundation is so desperately trying to work with corporations & the younger generation to protect our environment. If I can sum up in one sentence about the founder of Sea Save, Georgienne Bradley, is: "When You Love Something, You Want To Protect It."

Because of Sea Save I decided to pursue my Master's in Marine Biology instead of Environment Science! I have always had an admiration for the ocean but being with Sea Save, it really hit home! The people I work with are like family and are so close knit. Furthermore, everyone with Sea Save is SO PASSIONATE about what they do and how they can help. No matter what you title is people are always ready to help in another aspect when and if they are needed! Helping our oceans and the marine life that dwells within is so important for our ecosystems, economy, environment and for the mere beauty of all the wonderful animals the ocean has to offer! This is a GREAT foundation that sets the bar high in ambition and drive! A team is only as strong as the people in it... Sea Save Foundation has shined and continues to show it's passion!

Was moved to launch this foundation after standing witness to extensive damage to ocean ecosystems over the last twenty years. Proud to work with such a talented group of professionals who are making a remarkable difference.

I volunteered with Sea Save Foundation for 2.5 years and it was a very rewarding experience. I learned a lot about the non-profit industry and was very impressed with the fact that the organization is 85% ( or more) volunteer run. In my time as a volunteer with Sea Save Foundation I learned about the importance of working upstream to find long lasting solutions.

My Children have been volunteers for Sea Save for several years now and watching there interaction with the rest of the Sea Save team it is obvious that they are all a passionate group who work well together. With the issues of Shark Finning, Plastic pollution and many other ocean related complications this is a team that i am confident will continue to meet their targets. Great Ocean conservation organisation with hard working conscientious people and a great portal of information to all that want healthy oceans.

Sea Save Foundation educates, advocates, and influences the public discussion regarding ocean conservation. Our team is composed of professionals who bring passion, talent, energy, and the same professional rigor they use in their full time work to their volunteer work. And we have fun doing it. We know this work, to help protect the planet, is vital. We aim to translate scientific knowledge to the public and decision makers so that we can collectively make wise choices to protect our ocean for future generations. Sea Save Foundation is mission driven, supported by our generous donors and volunteers.

There are a lot great organizations out there and many need all the help we can give them. Sea Save is the only one I know where I can really think outside of the box, unleash my creativity, make some really fun content and not have anyone get weirded out. Sea Save not only allows you to think outside the box, but they actively encourage it. What a great, great place to learn and be creative. I love it.

Sea Save foundation is a great place to volunteer with. Georgienne Bradley, the Director is enthusiastic, energetic and passionate about ocean conservation. As a Program Director reporting to Georgienne, I have learnt a lot from her and she is willing to let you take forward new initiatives if you shoulder your responsibility well.

I have worked in the dive industry for over 20 years. It became time when I really needed to give back. I have seen a big change in the underwater world over the last 20 years and we are at a tipping point. Sea Save Foundation was the logical choice. I have watched their growth over the years and they're making a strong impact. I want to help lead this team.

I joined the Sea Save pod a few months ago and would recommend Sea Save to anyone and everyone. The passion of the team is immense and they are really making a difference. I work mainly on the systems side of things but seeing what is being achieved with a small team and budget is so satisfying. I love being with Sea Save and will be with them as long as they will have me.

I currently work at Sea Save Foundation. I'm proud to say that I work at an ocean conservation organization that makes a difference. Thanks to Sea Save, shark fin soup is a thing of the past in California! Sea Save helped raise awareness about the cruel practice of shark finning. I enjoy working with a team of movers and shakers who thrive on successful, innovative campaigns. I'm grateful to be part of the Sea Save pod!

I had the opportunity to work with Sea Save on a local community issue. It was a most pleasurable experience. Their staff were not only extremely capable, but also helpful during the course of the project. I would highly recommend Sea Save as a volunteer experience, and a positive opportunity to give back to society.

I have the pleasure of working with Sea Save Foundation to help support the amazing work they have been doing to bring more ocean conservation campaigns to the surface. Sea Save Foundation is deeply committed to marine conservation and founded on the concept that by sharing & educating about the amazing wonders of the ocean we can help to inspire others to get more involved. I was very proud to be apart of the success of the shark fin bill AB 376 where Sea Save volunteer and Executive Director Georgienne Bradley spoke before the Senate Appropriations Committee to speak up about the impact this bill would have on the health of our oceans worldwide. I am inspired and excited to continue to help Sea Save Foundation for our future generations.

I was first introduced to the Sea Save Foundation as a freshman in high school. I went on a leadership expedition where I looked forward to scuba diving and learning more about the ocean. While there, I learned so much more. I discovered a new found love of the ocean, not because of what we, as humans, can use it for, but for the wonderful creatures and things that can be found just below its surface. Sadly, not everyone sees the ocean like this and as a result terrible pollution is happening. But the amazing people of the Sea Save Foundation work to show the world what the ocean could be if we payed more attention. They educate people world wide through videos and photographs, blogs and magazines. I am now a freshman in college and will never ever forget the crucial lessons I learned working along side these wonderful people, and will continue to help them any way I can.

I've donated to and watched this amazing organization as they have grown over the last couple of years. Their commitment to save the oceans, especially in the area of shark finning, has helped produce positive results. Sea Save worked tirelessly in the legislation process to ban shark fin products in California. And their work in Cocos Islands have developed much needed programs in education and their media helped to expand the protection area. Kudos to the organization.

We should not support an org. that would steal another's name and use it as their own. I started Sea Save eight years ago. Now they think they can just start using our name. DO NOT SUPPORT THESE THIEVES!

The Sea Save foundation introduced me to the depths of the ocean, both in a literal and metaphorical sense. As a high school student, I had the opportunity to participate in two leadership expeditions. I went on these trips to learn to scuba dive and see some cool creatures but left with so much more. I developed a new perspective on the importance of our oceans, a commitment to philanthropy and most of all I left with a renewed confidence in my leadership abilities. My overall experience with Sea Save has truly shaped the confident, passionate, and ambitious person I am today. As a result of the marine exposure, I entered my undergraduate education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as an Environmental Engineering major. I hope that one day I will have the opportunity to tie my education and career together to make an impact on our oceans.
