Programs: Scraps hope foundation supports scraps through various programs, including the animal medical program. The animal medical program provides care, protection and welfare for stray,abused and neglected animals in spokane county. The animal medical program also provides medical treatment, rehabilitation, re-homing and enrichment to homeless and injured animals in the spokane area. As a part of county policy, scraps does not have veterinary staff. Partnerships with local animal clinics provide services at reduced cost. The animal medical program is solely supported by donations and contibutions from the public.
scraps hope foundation supports scraps through the educational outreach program. Educational outreach program provides humane education to the spokane community's youth and children. The foundation holds various mini-education and adoption events in spokane county. These events provide the opportunity to educate the public about spay/neutering, humane treatment of animals and the services available at scraps. The educational outreach program also helps in severe cases of abuse and neglect when animals are adopted or placed with a rescue group or foster home. The educational outreach program is supported solely by donations and contibutions from the public.
scraps hope foundation supports scraps through the transport program. The foundation provides financing for the tranport program, which provides resources and staffing that allows rescue coordinators to work with groups throughout the northwest and canada to transport abused and homeless animals to other rescue organizations and find homes for these neglected animals. This program has helped scraps virtually eliminate euthanizing due to shelter overcrowding. The transport program is supported solely by donations and contributions from the community.
