Mission: ScholarMatch’s mission is to support underserved first-generation college students from low-income backgrounds to earn a bachelor’s degree within five years. We provide virtual individualized advising, targeted financial support, and career mentoring all the way to graduation.
Results: Since its founding in 2010, ScholarMatch has supported more than 8,000 students through college access and persistence services and awarded over $8M in scholarships directly disbursed to scholars. 80% of students who participate in the full ScholarMatch program graduate college within five years. This number is almost four times the national average of 21% for first-generation students from low-income backgrounds. ScholarMatch alumns go on to work at different companies including The New York Times, Facebook, Raytheon Technologies, Cedars Sinai Hospital, and more.

Programs: ScholarMatch provides a seven-year continuum of services designed to support first-generation students from low-income backgrounds throughout their entire college journeys. Beginning in high school, ScholarMatch offers free individualized online support, including college advising by trained volunteers, flexible scholarship support, and career mentoring to guide students from their senior year of high school all the way to college graduation and into a meaningful career.
