Scholar CC mentors and their organization's founder, Ms. Lynne Gassant, have offered my high school students much needed support that I can only value as priceless. They have made a positive impact on every mentee they have come into contact with over the past 2 years, and I have seen the results in the student's grades, attitude, self-confidence & overall passion for success in their lives. Because of the mentors, the students know they have someone keeping a watchful, caring eye on them, and they do not want to disappoint. As an AVID elective teacher for 7 years, I have had the opportunity to work with several student support programs. Because of the dynamics of unique qualities that each mentor possesses, and the professionalism of Ms. Gassant and her lead mentor, Alfred Mims, Scholar CC truly deserves the recognition as a GREAT NONPROFIT.

This organization is working extremely hard to make a difference in their community. So far they have 2 after school mentoring programs, one at Atlantic High and Boynton Beach High. They gave 4 scholarships this year to graduating seniors and I am sure they will continue this great work in 2016. Kuddos to you all!

Such a pleasure to be part of this dynamic organization! A diverse group of talented, passionate and formidable individuals-from the students that go above and beyond to connect with students and professionals, to the amazing mentors and board members who have committed to sharing their experiences and being a role model for the next generation of students. This group pulls together to address the needs of so many students, particularly English Language learners (ELL) who lack the guidance and resources to bridge the gap in social inequalities. They do so by providing ongoing coaching, personality and career assessments, homework completion review, financial literacy seminars, scholarships and helping with college applications. If you are passionate about making a difference, visit our website at www.scholarcc.com; Have a few hours to volunteer? join us!- if not, spread the word!

Scholar Career Coaching is a positive influence on High School Students that wish to
receive assistance from mentors that have practical experiences in the workplace. As a
mentor, I can see the interest students have in finding the proper track to being accepted
in college. And to have contact with people from different walks of life and backgrounds is
a valuable experience for them.

ScholarCC is one of the small but mighty organizations that is doing invaluable work within Palm Beach County. Without a staff, their incredible group of volunteers work tirelessly towards the mission of mentoring these students. So much praise to the founder, Lynne, for sharing her vision and making it a reality here in our community!

Scholar Career Coaching started approximately 3 years ago and since that time has made a tremendous impact on the lives of high school and college age kids through offering assistance with mentorship, homework and counseling regarding their choice of colleges. As one of its first board members I have observed first hand, and with great pride, the organization's growth and development; its goal of excellence and its motivation to ensure that children, especially minority children, receive the help they need from committed and dedicated volunteers towards achieving their educational goals. I am extremely impressed with Scholar Career Coaching, its Founder, Lynne Gassant, its board members and its volunteers and wish this new but progressive organization all the very best as it grows from strength to strength.

I had the opportunity to share my experience with these young ambitious souls and the light in their eyes on Thursday always gave me my compensation at the end of our sessions. The fact that their biggest worry was if they did all their homework and if they were going to pass their vocabulary test was an envious matter and In my mind I'm like " they have no idea how free life is right now " (Literally Free) . My main students were both trying to convince their parents that they were leaving home for college. To old school Caribbean parents there is no such thing , being able to walk them through an effective way to communicate with their parents allowed me to live vicariously through them and hopefully reach a tangible end goal. Scholar Career Coaching aided me as a college student by lending a helping hand to young ambitious souls on their way to greatness.

As a mentor during the past school year, I have seen first-hand the incredible power that Scholar Career Coaching has tapped into by leveraging experienced business individuals as mentors. Also, they have identified a particularly deserving group to target for mentoring services - ELL students. These students excel when they have help navigating the language challenges that today's public school systems aren't equipped to address every day in the classroom. I have watched these wonderful young people blossom over the course of a school year into much more confident, productive, and high-performing students. Scholar Career Coaching deserves the credit for this.
