Mission: To preserve and protect nature in the sawtooth national recreation area (snra).
Programs: Enhancement and preservation of the recreational facilities and services through snra projects - trail maintenance, trail signs, environmental education programs through field trips and lectures, adopt-a-fence programs, and purchase of research and rescue equipment.
development of public awareness and appreciation for the snra through information and education. Publication of a quarterly newsletter, providing information for news releases to local and national news meadia, and maintenance of an internet web site.
facilitator in the acquisition of conservation easements on private land for the protection of natural and scenic fish and wildlife. Work with id and us senators and congressmen to encourage congress and the us forest service to provide federal funds to purchase easements.
