I cannot thank the Save the Kid Fund, Inc enough for granting Jared this AMAZING bike!!!! We are BEYOND thankful & over the moon excited for it!!! For the first time EVER we can ride bikes as a FAMILY!!! #TeamJaredTakesTheWheel #BlindKidDriving #LOVEIT!!!!
So grateful to Trudy & Ray Lasky for connecting us with Save the Kid Fund and Robbie’s Riders. Our daughter, Viola, has Down Syndrome but has always dreamed of riding her own bicycle. She had a tricycle as a toddler but as she grew older, her options were very limited. For years Viola has dreamed of riding a bicycle again, a dream that Trudy made into reality. She put together a custom-made pink bicycle with a basket!
This bicycle is an engineering marvel. So well designed and constructed. They thought of things we never would have considered, from safety to convenience. It is beautifully made and appointed according to Viola’s wish list. It is easy to break apart for transport and storage (we live in an apartment). The best part, it came with rear steering and break control for parental peace-of-mind. This is the perfect bicycle for Viola.
Our family looks forward to the Spring when we can ride together with our daughter.
We are ever so thankful for Save the Kid Fund and Robbie’s Riders for this wonderful gift. What a fantastic and worthy organization.
My daughter Saleen isn't able to walk on her own but she absolutely loves riding the bikes when she is in school! Threw therapy they use the bikes and her face lights up everytime! We applied for a bike at the beginning of the summer and just recieved her bike this last week! It was such a great day and she absolutely loved it! The process was easy and Trudy was so easy to work with! She made everything worth while! This is an amazing program to help children like my own be able to feel like a kid and enjoy being outside riding a bike with siblings and friends!
STK made the process straightforward and easy and now my daughter has an adaptive trike she can use to have fun, get around, and build strength and stamina.
So thankful for Robbie’s Riders for donating this amazing bike to our girl, Melania! She always dreamed of riding a bike again after she outgrew her toddler tricycle and other bikes didn’t provide enough support for her to ride. Now she is moving and grooving everyday and her dream has come true.
My 7 year-old daughter received her first bike from Trudy and Nick. We are ecstatic and extremely grateful. Thank you so much, Save The Kid. The organization is such a blessing to many families. My daughter can now have a since of independence while getting physical therapy.
We applied to get a bike for our 9 year old in the spring and it was delivered just as summer was ending. The process was easy and we were thrilled to find out that we were approved and would receive a bike. The bike was delivered to our home by two very kind and helpful leaders of the organization. They helped familiarize us with the bike and watched as we took our first ride. Our little girl is thrilled with her new bike. She is able to pedal on her own and is going to be working on steering now. She loves to ride it in our quiet neighborhood. Thank you so much to this fabulous organization that provides such a high quality made-in-the-USA product to kids in need!
I have tried other programs to teach my daughter to ride a (2 wheeled) bike!!! After 3 failed attempts, I was devastated! Then a I met the sweetest representative from Save the kid!!!!! She gave me hope! Then she had my daughter sit on various sizes to find the correct size! Then ordered a bike for her! It arrived yesterday! She took to it immediately! She was so excited she went an ride! She was exhausted after enjoying her ride. It's giving her self empowerment!! THANK YOU!!!!! dose not seem like enough for the confidents and smiles this bike has given my daughter. best bike ever! #bike #smiles #independance #strength
I am a physical therapist that works with disabled and developmentally delayed children of all ages. Several of my patients have been gifted with adaptive tricycles through Save the Kid Fund! This organization is so caring and truly makes an impact on the lives of children and their families!
Ronin loves to bike along side his brothers! Save the kid fund has allowed our family to enjoy time outdoors and explore what my son is capable of.
We can’t thank you enough for Davie’s new bike. Today was the first time he has biked independently and I was simply amazed. Everyone was so kind and helpful in this process. What a great organization. We are very grateful and blessed.
My son, Carter, has a form of congenital muscular dystrophy. Trudy has helped us find a bike that is perfect for Carter that supports him and allows him to get some exercise! Thank you so much!
STK is an outstanding chariry organization with a long history of assisting children via their medical & adaptive cycle programs. It is an organization that anyone would be proud to Volunteer for and be a part of. Keep up the great work!
Beyond grateful for everything Save the kid has done! They are the most kind, professional, and caring people I have ever met. I look forward to see all they will continue to do to serve children and young adults with disabilities.
Save the Kid is a wonderful organization. Events are filled with smiling faces and families full of gratitude. The volunteers and Board of Directors for Save the Kid is made up of passionate, professional people dedicated to changing the lives of children with disabilities.
We are so grateful to STK for helping our son. Pj was diagnosed with autism just before turning two. With 3 younger siblings, it’s difficult when they are able to do things that PJ isn’t. We were gifted an adaptive bike and it impacted the entire family! My children were able to go on bike rides together. Pj gained some independence- his bike improved his muscle tone and coordination. Thank you, Save The Kid!!
I have seen first hand the wonderful work this group does. Their work means the world to the children and their families! Thank you for what you do and keep up the good work ❤️
My neighbor was unable to ride a typical bike and so desperately wanted to. Thanks to this wonderful organization she is able to ride with her friends. We are so thankful for them!
Tina is a selfless, compassionate and dedicated person. Non profit serving children with disabilities. Devoted Board of Directors dedicated to the community. She is an amazing person of character .
Save the Kid Fund is an incredibly inspiring organization. Through their generosity, our daughter was provided an adaptive bicycle that allows her to experience the joys of bike riding just like any other kid. It has meant so much to her and our family!
I really want to thank Save the Kid fund for granting my son his bike. We are really grateful for the bike. Ever since he got to try out the bike in therapy, he loved it! The day he received it he was so happy and it brought a smile to his face! He gets to feel the independence he wants from riding it. He has been going on his bike everyday ever since he has received! He also gets to ride his bike along with his siblings and cousins.
This nonprofit is an absolute blessing to all children with disabilities. I’m so grateful for you guys and blessing my son with this amazing bike. I know my son has been struggling with his lower body strength and I just know this bike will benefit him so much. If you are looking for a nonprofit to donate to, I suggest choosing them because I’m absolutely blown away by this organization. They are so sweet and caring and take the time to really make sure the kid’s bikes fit them perfect. Thank you guys again. ❤️
Our 9 year old daughter Jacina has a rare chromosomal disorder and has many challenges, one of which was balancing on a bicycle, or even riding on a bike with training wheels. Save the Kid was able to provide a much more stable and safe large tricycle that is very adjustable, 2 different brake systems, and easy to ride. She always has wanted to ride more with us but was limited in what she can do, and we could only help her so much. The people who delivered it were wonderful and very nice and understanding when she was very shy about riding in front of them. Once we got her riding it was tough to get her off since she was loving the experience so much. Great people and a great experience!
My 15 year old daughter Isabella, was hospitalized for 9 months in 2021 with a rare form of vasculitis that attacked her kidney and put her in renal failure. During her stay at the hospital she also contracted endocarditis on her heart and another mass that when treated causes a stroke and brain bleeds leaving her partially paralyzed on the left side and unable to walk and requiring a wheelchair. I had to quit my job to care for her but also needed a wheelchair ramp which wasn’t covered by insurance as it was considered a modification. I had started paying a monthly fee to rent the ramp but soon realized we would need it much longer. Part of the rental fee was applied to the final cost of the ramp but with no money coming in I was quickly running low on funds. I reached out to Save the Kid and the president/CEO, Tina Pappalardo got back to me immediately. Her and her team were able to help me pay for the remainder of the ramp. This foundation helped my family in more ways they will ever know. The kindness and care that Tina handled with me was so comforting. We use the ramp daily and my daughter is healing so well. She received a kidney transplant in May and we are hopeful with continued physical therapy she will be able to walk again. She even started in person school this year. I can’t say enough good things about this foundation. My family is forever grateful.
This nonprofit is doing great work, I want to recognize and thank Lauren N for all of her hard work. She is working hard to deliver great bikes to children in need.
I have saw the smiles that was put on kids faces that makes you just unexplainable you cannot explain happiness that it brings to them they feeling like they are part of the group
Save the kid fund ( RobbiesRiders ) is a wonderful organization with a mission and drive to help children and their families . It has been a true blessing to be apart of such a wonderful organization dedicated to the needs of children & young adults with disabilities ❤️
What a wonderful organization! I watched them give a little girl a chance to ride a bike with her friends and the whole community lit up.
Save The Kid has been phenomenal to work with!! When I first heard of a sick child in my son’s pre-school class, I reached out to them and they immediately got to work to help this family. I couldn’t imagine the stress of having a 4 year old with cancer, but Save The Kid knew exactly how to support them and what they might need.
My family and I have also been at the receiving end of their charity. My oldest has autism and was having all kinds of issues. Through STK we were gifted an adaptive bike. Our son was able to enjoy a little independence, normalcy and it also helped our younger sons enjoy an activity with their big brother! We are so grateful to Save The Kid for all of their efforts in helping children and their families when difficulties hit.
Save The Kid is a fantastic organization!
My daughter Christina received her new bicycle a few weeks ago and is absolutely loving it! She can now ride along with her five siblings and is having so much fun!
Thank you Save The Kid for giving her the freedom and independence that she never had. It is truly a blessing for our whole family!
I love Save the Kid -They really Care about providing bike for children!
Trudy Lasky is awesome with communicating, listening to my wants and needs pertaining to Brooklyn.
I received a bike for today, Brooklyn is 5 years old with Trisomy 21.
She had a bike previously but out grown it and I contacted Save The Kid and another bike was provided to Brooklyn! Brooklyn was so happy and ready to go as soon as she sat on her new pink bike! The bike fits perfectly. She feels safe and secure.
Brooklyn is non verbal and had a smile on her face! We are very greatful and thank you for everything!
Brooklyn absolutely loves her new pink Rifton bike from Save The Kid!
Thank You Again!
Robbie's Riders helped me to give my son a safe way to enjoy a bicycle. Once my son laid eyes on his new bike he wanted to get on it immediately. He tends to get out of car seats and strollers and with this bike he is safe and I feel safe for him to use it. Thank you so much for offering this opportunity for my son. We will be biking all over the neighborhood now.
This organization helped purchase a bike that is solely designed for Down Syndrome children. Ian has been on his bike every day since he got it. Thank you so much for giving him this opportunity.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your most generous gift of the Strider adaptive bike and helmet that your organization donated to our son! He is riding the bike everyday and I can already see his confidence is growing! This is truly amazing, THANK YOU!
My daughter Djuna received her new Rifton trike yesterday in Fort Myers and she adores it!
Save The Kid Fund was excellent at picking out just what she needed to get moving.
As soon as we got home we went on a family bike ride, something that was out of reach for a long time!
We really appreciate the effort and kindness of the entire day, especially Jeff.
Thank you so much!
On behalf of the whole family we would like to thank Save the Kid foundation for such a generous and wonderful gift. The new bike that was provided for our daughter will afford us the opportunity to take part in family activities that we were unable to do before. A bike ride is a typical family outing that other families take for granted but with this amazing new adaptive bike our family can now get Nina out and about in ways we previously could not. Everyone at the foundation was so helpful and easy to work with through the entirety of the process and it was so wonderful to get the chance to meet them and to connect with other families at the bike event. We can not thank Save the Kid foundation and Dan from the Engine Room Restaurant enough for what they have done for us and so many other families. Truly an Experience of a lifetime for families with children like ours!
David and Nancy Barbagallo
For years, our son who is severely affecting by autism wanted to ride a bike. If he saw one at the park he would rush to climb aboard but could not operate it. He would grow frustrated and sad.
Thanks to Save the Kid Fund that wish is now true. Lucas has his own bike and is slowly learning how to control it.
Thank you for making a special needs child's dream a reality.
Our daughter received her trike this weekend and we cannot thank Robbie's Riders/Save the Kid Fund enough for this amazing experience. To see the faces of all the kids who received a bike light up was absolutely pricless!! Was definitely one of the top 10 days of our lives as parents for sure.... Thank You again Robbie's Riders/Save the Kid Fund!!!
Save the Kids and Robbie’s Riders has been nothing short of amazing. They took into account everything my kiddo could want! My son was so happy to receive his bike! He can now keep up with his able-bodied peers in the neighborhood and have additional independence. A smile is worth a 1,000 words.
We had a very positive experience with the save the kid fund. Our daughter is 4 years old. She is diagnosed with CP. Her physical therapist helped us put in an application to receive a new bike. Tracy from save the kid followed up with us. She was very nice. She came to the house with her husband and son to deliver our daughter’s bike personally. They fit Elly in her new bike and explained everything to us. They were very encouraging and positive. Our daughter loves her new bike. We feel very grateful to have met Tracy and her family. Thank you Save the kid fund!
Best, Elly and family
This organization has been working hard with donated funds to make the lives of kids to enjoy the use of bicycles to help with rebuilding their bodies.
Mya is 15 years old and has Down syndrome. She is very small for her age, and she has low tone and poor balance. We have never been successful in finding a bike for her that she is comfortable on. She absolutely loves her new Rifton bike from Save The Kid! The bike fits her perfectly. She feels safe and secure on it, so she loves riding it. We have a beautiful park down the road and are able to ride down there and go all around the park. When she gets tired, we use the handle to give her a little help. But most of the time she wants to do it all by herself! We love the bike and love that Mya has a form of exercise that is so enjoyable. And we are so grateful to the Save The Kid foundation.
Thank you! Thank you! The Save the Kid Fund donated an adaptive bicycle to my son and it was delivered today! We spent all afternoon riding around the neighborhood. He is utterly delighted and so proud of himself to be able to ride "his" bike! Danny was born with Down Syndrome and later diagnosed with Autism and PANDAS. He is unable to balance on a regular bicycle and needs a special seat with side supports and a seat belt which is prohibitively expensive. We are very grateful to Tina who made this donation possible, and Trudy and Ray who delivered the bike and made all the adjustments to fit. He is so happy!!!
Tina was extremely helpful and very quick in turning around the request for an adapted bike for my son. The bike is the single most coveted item he has and he rides it immediately after school each and every day! He loves his new bike and has even learned to sweep the driveway while riding it. We cannot thank Save the Kid Fund for providing him with a bike he can independently ride and that fits his 6' 2 " size. Thank you so much!!!
We want to say THANKS!!! To Save the Kid Fund. They made possible that my son Nico can have a new bike. My son was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and a chronic blood disorder and now he is so HAPPY when he is riding his bike. He enjoys cycling around the neighborhood instead of sitting around the house.
Thank you so much for this opportunity for my son and my family.
What a GREAT organization!

My son Nicolas is 14 years old. He has cerebral palsy and he suffers a rare blood disorder. He needs to receive treatments in the hospital weekly. With your help of paying my son's medical bill and co-payments, we found financial relief. Also we appreciate your double help by fixing the air-conditioner from my son's accessible van, making easier and more comfortable his transportation to the hospital in these hot days.
THANK YOU to Frank and the board members of Save the Kid Fund for your kindness and generosity during this difficult time in my family life.
You are all angels!!
Sanibel Captiva Community Bank is honored and humbled to partner with Save the Kid Fund through our relationship with Grampy's Charities. Since 2017 we've been blessed to be part of many of their bikes presentations and its been one of the most rewarding experiences many of us at the bank have been a part of. We are SO proud to be affiliated with this amazing organization!

Our family had the support of an incredible service dog and loyal companion for 13 years. When Murray retired at age 11 we knew we could never replace him but our children (and their parents) still needed the support only a service dog could provide.
We decided we would bring a carefully chosen puppy into our lives to raise with the children the way we had with Murray. Then we would have the dog trained by professionals for obedience and service tasks. We found our puppy, Samson, in December of 2019 - what could possibly go wrong...
Well a global pandemic wreaked havoc with our original plans and the cost of training had increased - we were unsure if we could afford basic obedience courses let alone specialized training for public access and service tasks. We NEEDED Samson to be more than a companion animal and Save the Kid Fund came to the rescue.
Save the Kid Fund helped pay for the basic obedience course with a local highly skilled trainer and after completing that program Samson went on to a specialized program at Empire State K9 in Brookfield CT to refine his skills and qualify for service work.
Save the Kid fund didn’t just provide financial support when it was needed most. In Samson’s training they gave us peace of mind and a means to support our children for years to come and they gave Nathan and Anna a loving & loyal companion even when he’s not wearing his working vest.
Excellent foundation and so easy to work with. They assembled and delivered this bike to the child's home!! Thank you for this bike for this deserving child and family!
Sincerely,
Donna Brink, OTD OTR/L
Being introduced to Save The Kid has been a blessing to my family. My son Jonathan was provided the opportunity this past Christmas to have his first bike. He has wanted this for a long time and was so excited when his bike was delivered on Christmas day. We are truly appreciative to Trudy Lasky and this organization for making this dream a reality for Jonathan.

Save the kid has been a blessing to our daughter. Born at 2 1/2 pounds was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. She loves to be active and on the move. This bike gives her no limit. It’s amazing. The balance is everything. Trudy has a heart of gold to do that she does for these kids. We couldn’t thank her enough.
I have a son with special needs and just received the bike for him. He has loved every minute of riding his bike. After five long years of him not being able to be active he is very much so active now. I want to say thank you so much for helping my son be able to be out like a normal child. And also thank you for allowing his sister to be able to join him riding her bike also.

Save The Kids Fund Inc has changed our lives! My son was 9 years old and couldn’t ride a bike. Frank and crew changed that and had Callan zooming down the road enjoying a bike with his brother in a few days with the amazing bike. Can’t thank you guys enough for all you do!
Greyson is a happy 3 year old full of personality and was diagnosed with CP at 9 months old. I remember when he was about 2, saying to my husband let’s donate are eldest’s toddler bike because Greyson will never be able to ride a bike. This nonprofit provided us with a dream we didn’t think was possible for our son. This adaptive bike allows him to pedal with his arms and allows his legs to move in the same motion. I have never seen Greyson soo happy when he received his bike. I can’t thank you all enough for the Joy you have brought to Greyson and our family. We are soo thankful for the work you do.
My son loves the Trike, thank you so much, I appreciate from the bottom of my heart for what you are doing for special need kids.
My daughter Marley was born at 24 weeks, weighing only a pound. She then had a level 3/4 brain bleed which made her chances if survival less then 50%. We were told if she did survive she would be unresponsive and in a wheelchair. But Marley is a fighter. It has been 11 years. She lost her vision completely during to retinal prematurity. She has CP on her right side making it difficult for her to walk long periods of time. I never thought Marley would be able to ride a bike. How could she? She is blind. I was told about Save the Kid from Marley's PT. The thought that Marley could independently ride a bike was such an amazing thought! We signed up and heard from Frank just days later. Soon we found out we were approved. Marley couldnt wait to have her own bike! Frank was absolutely wonderful. Marley actually had her own bike! She had the ability to be independent , pedeling and steering on her own. But ofcourse guided by mommy using a steer and brake from the back of the bike. She loves riding it! It couldnt be a better activity to help strengthen her right side! We are so grateful for Frank and this organization. Thank you for making the impossible, possible.!

Our oldest son, PJ, was diagnosed with Autism at 2.5 years old. A few years later, he was also diagnosed with ADHD & anxiety. Many activities children his age would enjoy were difficult for Pj. STK gifted a bike to him this year and it has changed his life! Pj can enjoy bike rides with his best friend and siblings. It has given him a huge confidence boost as Pj had watched his younger brothers tackle riding a bike with ease, when he struggled to make a full rotation.
With his adaptive bike, Pj has found a new sense of freedom and has improved his strength and coordination. We cannot thank Save The Kid for everything they have done for our PJ and our family!!
Many thanks to Trudy and Ray Lasky for the new bike for my son Peter who is autistic. It brought great joy to his face to receive the new bike. It comes at just the right time because his old bike was on its last legs.
I can not thank Ray and Trudy enough it is something I will never forget.
My 11 year old daughter has neurofibromatosis. This results in intellectual disability and physical delays. Her little brother Patrick has a connective tissue disorder that causes hypermobility
and joint pain. Save the kid has been an incredible organization for both our children. I can only describe pure joy as the emotion I have seen in both my children when they rode their bikes for the first time. If someone is looking to support an organization that is well run, does the most good and effects children (and their parents) profoundly, Save The Kid is that organization.

Our 8 year old daughter Arianna has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Neurofibromatosis. Both disorders have resulted in struggles for her since infancy. Riding a bike was something we thought was out of her reach- as we had tried everything to help her learn. I learned of Save The Kid Fund and though at the time I thought it was a long shot, I reached out. Immediately Frank and the team assured me that this little girl with struggles would soon be riding her very own Adaptive Trike. She's had "Thunder" for about a year now and I will never, for as long as I live forget the look of PURE JOY on her face when she finally went whizzing down the road - finally able to keep up with her brother. She is so proud of her bike and there is NO WAY that we would have been able to provide her this opportunity with the help of Save The Kid Fund. We are eternally grateful.

My son, Icek, is 6 years old. He has an infuse brain injury. And I just wanted to say how grateful we are for Frank and the Team for helping us with a chair that allowed Icek to touch the grass and play with his cars on the floor. With this chair, he can sit down in his kiddie pool with his friends and play. Just looking at his face says it all! Without the help of “Save The Kid” charity, he would never be able to do this and spend time with his friends, especially at summer! Thank you so much in the name of Icek and his family!

We received our awesome Firefly cart recently through this amazing nonprofit organization with the help of our Over the top Awesome Therapy staff at The Childrens Rehabilitation Center in Ft Myers !! Our little guy is not able to walk or fully crawl yet and this lovely device helps him to independently explore on his own !! He absolutely loves it and we love the wonder and happiness it has given him !! What a blessing our Therapy team and your nonprofit organization is !! Thank you all so very much !!
I am the wife of the president of STK - he is constantly doing something to help that organization. He claims that he only does what is necessary but there must be a lot that is necessary. Anyhow this is a great organization and everyone associated with it should be thanked. They go far beyond what is neessary to see that each child is helped
My 3 year old daughter was diagnosed with a myopathy when she was 20 months old. It has been on going dr appointments ,testing and therapies to try to figure out what type. We have not had much luck. We will be going to the national institute of health in Maryland this June for more testing. I am looking forward to hopefully getting more answers.
Jaymie has made huge improvements with physical therapy and daily work. Jaymies occupational therpist had physical therpist often use the bike during sessions to help strengthen jaymies arms and legs. I had asked the therpist how much the bikes cost and where I could buy one. She then told me about the save a kid fund and sent out a referral for us. They quickly reached out to us to let us know they were giving jaymie a bike of her own at no charge. I was in shock because I had started doing some online research to see where I can buy a bike and they cost of them was a alot. This program is amazing and I am blown away buy the things they do to help kids and families with disabilities. Jaymie likes to use her bike but struggles to pedal as she does not have the strength yet. The hand pedals are great and I made a self goal for her to hopefully be able to pedal a bit on her own by summer!!! Frank and his partner are so kind and very thorough explaining the bike and how it works. I am so glad I had the chance to meet both of them. I am forever grateful for this program.
Thank you from Jaymie and Nicole

I am so grateful for SKF. I am a single mother and routines are crucial for my son. The summer can be a challenging time and with SKF I am able to send my son to camp worry free. I am so thankful for everyone in this organization. Thank you is not enough!
We are beyond grateful to have found Save the Kid Fund! We have a four year old son who was diagnosed with autism and ADHD. After picking up on the signs of developmental delays very early on, we began Birth to Three services with him as young as six months old. For the past four years, we have paid for private services including speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, horseback riding and countless doctor appointments. As you can imagine, we have spent a tremendous amount of money in medical bills. After applying for a grant for physical therapy & horseback riding, we were ecstatic when we received the news that STK was going to provide us with a 10 week therapeutic riding session and several sessions of physical therapy. The benefits we have seen alone with horseback riding for our son has been amazing! Aside from his strong connection with the horses, it provides him with confidence, sensory benefits, muscle strength, posture & flexibility and overall happiness! His smile says it all! Thank you Frank and STK for your generosity! We can't thank you enough!!
My daughter Julianna was given her first bike by Save-the-kid-fund back in June of 2015, and she was just over 3 years old. Never being able to go to a department store and just buy a bike, it was so amazing to see her smile!! Saftey and comfort on a bike with the ability to use it... priceless!!!
Frank Matovack contacted me once again in the fall of 2018, reaching out to me with the certainty that Julianna had outgrown her previous bike, and that he would love to have another made for her..
I was speechless, assuming that most of these organizations gifts are a one time thing.. ?
I explained to Frank that Julianna recently had growing rods surgically placed, and her needs for a bike had changed. He couldn’t have been more understanding and eager to accommodate to her new situation.
Needless to say... Jules received her 2nd bike today!!!!!!!!
Save-the-kid-fund does such amazing things for children with special needs of all kinds, and brings happiness to EVERYONE involved.
I not only witnessed my 6 year old daughter ride a bike for the first time in over a year, but I saw a room full of adults come together to change a life!
Thank you so much to all that made this possible

My two and a half year old son was born with the limb difference. We were connected to Save The Kid Fund through his OT. Frank Matovic personally connected with us multiple times over email and phone and then hand delivered my son's customized bike on a blistery cold today right before Christmas. We truly appreciated everything organizations like Save The Kid Fund do to help children with special needs all over CT. We are extremely grateful.
My son Colton received his bike from this outstanding organization yesterday. He has Down Syndrome and autism, and a variety of other medical issues. He spent years learning how to independently work the pedals of a bike
He did this by using an adaptive bike at school. Once i learned he was doing it and loved riding around the school, I knew I needed to find a way for him to get his own vehicle. A friend of mine has a daughter who received a bike from Save the Kid...so she gave me Franks contact information.
I was responded back to very quickly, and Frank walked me through all of the information needed...and within a few weeks....the bike was here.
This is an amazing opportunity for many individuals who otherwise would not be able to have access to these bikes...

Due to a tremendous financial loss and loss of home, we had contacted Save the Kids for assistance with obtaining furniture for our children. Save the Kids have gone above and beyond in assisting. Without this program, we would have never been able to complete this difficult task of re finishing our home for our children prior to our deadline. We cannot express our thanks enough to everyone involved. Without this program, we would not have been able to obtain these necessity for our children. This program is key for many families like ours who are in dire need. Thank you all for your endless efforts!

A BIG thank you to STK team for Zara's bike. She loves riding it. It was a memorable day for me to see her ride by herself. She was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome on 2/10/16. I still remember that day and how it broke my heart. Having something great happen on 2/10/18 gives me hope that she will overcome other challenges. I am forever grateful to all of you for making my daughter so happy.

Yesterday, Georgia received her very own adaptive bike thanks to STK. Mr. Frank brought it over after school and her face was just beaming. She hopped right on and we strapped her in. For the first time, she was able to successfully ride around the driveway on a bike with no help. Yo could tell she was just so proud. Needless to say, we have spent all weekend riding around the neighborhood. My daughter is so full of joy and pride. I couldn’t be more thankful for this amazing organization!!!!
My son Ryan received a bike this year. This was a great opportunity for him to learn how to ride a bike and be part of a wonderful cause. Thank you .
We can’t thank Frank from Save The Kid Fund enough! Our daughter Amber suffered a stroke in March of 2018 from an previously-unknown GBM tumor that had been growing. After recovering in the hospital for 50 days, she got to go home but still had to recover from the stroke that had severely impaired her left side. She started going to outpatient physical therapy and our physical therapist got us in contact with Frank from Save The Kid Fund. While Amber waited for her new bike (which was on back-order), Frank came by with a temporary bike for her to ride for the summertime, which was so thoughtful! Well, last week, Amber just received her new bike and she absolutely loves it! Amber has gotten so much stronger and will keep getting stronger, in part from riding her bike. What an absolutely AMAZING organization! We honestly cannot thank you enough!!!
Incredibly dynamic and generous team. I am so happy to have met and to have the honor to work in collaboration with Save the Kid Fund team!
As a Pediatric Physical Therapist and now as a board member, I am absolutely amazed by the kindness, generosity and dynamism of this organization who changed the life of many of my patients in Florida. I see new smiles everyday and motor progress with several children that were lucky enough to benefit from the generosity of the wonderful team that constitute Save the Kid Fund Inc.
Save the Kid Fund is an amazing organization. They provided my son with an adaptive tryke I would have never been able to afford on my own. Thank You!!
Thank you Save The Kid Fund! We received a bike a few years ago and just received our second bike last week. This program is amazing and allows people with disabilities to keep up with friends and siblings! Ordering the bike is so easy and the bikes are delivered promptly and adjusted to fit the rider.
My daughter has rare disorders which affect her balance and ability to move her body. Since she had outgrown her tricycle and could not use a traditional bike, I was completely lost as to how to find a bike for her that would give her the freedom to ride with her brothers and me on her own bike. A friend suggested that I contact Frank at Save the Kid Fund, Inc. to ask him for guidance. Not only did he recommend the perfect trike for her, he brought the trike to us. He spent a lot of time making sure it was the perfect fit. I could not be more grateful for the generosity can care of Save the Kid Fund Inc and those, like Frank, who bring immense joy to children of all types who can now experience the independence and freedom of having their own bikes. My daughter is overjoyed to have her own ride, too (and I'm grateful that there are some parental controls on the back of the trike to ensure that she doesn't speed down the steep hill in front of our house).
I am the mom to a wonderful son on the Autism Spectrum. I never in a million years imagined being able to teach my son how to ride a bike. Savethekidfundinc made that possible with the donation of a modified bike that will help my boy. I am here to tell you thank you for this generosity. you have made my family's heart full. God bless
Our son Nicholas has very limited mobility on his right side makingbit very difficult for him to do simple things like buckle his car seat belt, swing a bat, and ride a bike. He has been going to weekly OT at CCMC in addition to many other services he receives. His therapist at CCMC told me about Save the Kid so I called right away. I spoke with Frank Matovic, and like so many other reviews say on here, he was the kindest person. He asked about Nicholas and after a few minutes into our conversation he said that he could get Nicholas a custom bicycle. A few weeks later Frank and a few other gentlemen from Save the Kid brought Nicholas his bike and a helmet. Nicholas immediately asked to ride his bike and our three other children were so excited to push their brother around the driveway. We can’t thank everyone at Save the Kid enough for this bike and the joy it has brought to our little boy. Without them we would never have been able to get this for him. It is a true blessing and now Nicholas can ride his bike with his siblings. Thank you!!!

Save the kid Fund is wonderful, they make so many kids smile. My son loves his bike, its the only bike he has been able to ride safely. He is so happy riding and when he is happy the whole family is happy. Thanks again to Save the Kid Fund and Frank Matovic, one of the nicest guys ive ever met who truly cares for these kids.

As the wife of the Board President I can tell you that I have witnessed first hand many good deeds done by this group. Sometimes I am pushed to my limit patients-wise but I always remember that the child being helped needs some assistance and if I were that child's mom I would be happy my baby was getting some help. This is truly an amazing group of selfless people helping children in need.
Our son Devon was born with cerebellum atrophy. He can not stand or walk by himself, but we found that with a special trike he can ride. Last year Devon had out grow his first trike, so we went to Bike On in Warwick RI. They have many specialty bikes and trikes. They put us in contact with Frank Matovic from Save The Kids Fund. He explained how the program worked and their desire to help kids in need. He said they could help us. This was just before Christmas, and for Christmas Devon had a new trike. Frank made sure it was just what we needed with all the right accessories. Frank and a couple of his associates delivered it and made sure everything was adjusted and fit as needed.
We are Very Thankful for their Donation!!!
Devon Loves his trike. Not only does it give him the exercise he needs but it gives him a sense of pride and freedom that he can do something on his own. We ride trails all over CT&RI. Every weekend is a different trail and he loves it.
Our Thanks to Frank and The Save The Kid Fund

My son, Joshua, is 6 and has Down Syndrome, Autism, Apraxia and A/v canal defect. He has 2 siblings who he always used to watch ride their bikes but didn’t have the motor strength to ride one himself.
The bike from Save the Kid has given him the ability to ride with his siblings and the joy on his face while he’s riding is priceless! Not to mention the great exercise and core strengthening workout he’s receiving at the same time.
I continue to be amazed by Save the Kid Foundation.
Our children received bikes from the foundation last year. I gave a review at the time and tried to put into words how much Nate & Annie love the bikes and attempted to express our appreciation for what STK did for our children.
Now there are no words to describe what the foundation has done but I’ll try.
My friends baby Brody Osga is very sick, his condition is terminal and the family was going to lose their nursing care because their home was not ADA compliant. They need to turn the garage into a fully accessible bedroom and bath with a medical lift and nurses station to keep Brody home until the end.
Save the Kid is living up to the foundation name and then some. I have never seen more drive and compassion to provide what a child needs. When they stepped in to support Brody they rallied a local community and turned neighbors into friends.
Here is a photo of Frank Matovic doing demo on the garage getting ready for the carpenters to start construction the next day

My daughter Morgan received her new bike today and frank and chuck and friend were extremely helpful with making it very easy for us. Thank you very much for the bike and stroller. Melissa Santangelo
This is a great program. They sent my grandson to camp this year in the town of Groton. When they were paying for my grandson, the administrator told them of 2 other kids that they had to refuse entrance due to the fact that the parents did not have enough money. Save the Kid Fund came up with the money for those kids to also attend camp. We went to an event at Old Mystic Village last year, where Save the Kid Fund had made custom bikes for kids with several different handicaps. The simile of joy on the faces of those kids when they received their bicycles was very moving. I will never forget it.
I have a son with multiple disabilities. He is just at the age where he is starting to out grow small child bikes that provide the support he needs. Save the Kid was able to purchase and customize a bike for my son, that suits his needs perfectly. It is something that will provide him with the opportunity to ride with his sister and enjoy every second of it. We couldn't be more thankful. This organization is amazing!
I am a special education teacher in Naples, Florida. I worked directly with Jack Johannemann, a Save the Kid board member, and he was absolutely wonderful! He visited our classroom, talked about the work his organization does, and discussed a potential candidate for an adaptive bike. After receiving approval from the board, he purchased and presented the bike to an amazing student in my class. The family is beyond grateful for the work that this generous organization performs. Thank you to Jack and the rest of the board members!
I am a physical therapist who works with children with disabilities. These children often cannot ride a typical bicycle. The adapted bikes that they need are costly and typically not covered by insurance. I have approached Save the Kid Fund, Inc about obtaining a bike for several of the children that I see, and they have never turned a child and family down. The organization has been a pleasure to work with both personally as a therapist and from all the feedback I get from the families. The process for referring a child and family and obtaining their bike has always been an easy one. The organization is doing great work to help kids be more active participants with their families and friends.
Recently on 3/3/2017 Emma Rose and Benjamin were given incredible new bikes form Save The Kid Foundation. Jack Johannemann was there in Fort Myers, Florida along with Jim Castle of Grampy's Charities to meet Emma and Ben. Both Emma and Ben have special needs. Emma was born in the state of Oregon, USA. She was born with out legs and abandoned by her parents. Ed and Anne Ravish adopted Emma when she was four days old. She is now seventeen. Ben, is from India and was rescued and adopted by Ed and Anne. Ben had a bout with polio and is paralyzed from the knees down. The anticipation to receive these gorgeous bikes was rather overwhelming. Emma and Ben have been rejuvenated and are very, very thankful for such thoughtfulness and generosity. It is an incredible gift to both of them!
Thank you to Frank and the board at Save the Kid for the amazing job you do each and every day. The kindness and amount of care shown from the initial conversation with Frank, to the exchange of information needed to get the process started; along with the in home modifications during final delivery was a testament to how much this organization goes above and beyond to help special needs kids achieve independence. Providing a much needed service to a great community ... job well done!
Frank from Save the Kid Fund called saying we had been approved for an adaptive bike for our two year old. We were blown away at how quick they moved to get us a bike. Frank worked with us to find a mutually beneficial time to come to the house to bring the bike and fit it according to our son's height. The process was smooth, quick and highly professional. Save the Kid really cares
2 weeks ago our son Nathan was having an occupational therapy session when his OT suggested he try to ride a bike. At 16 years old Nate has NEVER been able to ride a bike - even during therapy sessions. She assured us this bike would be different. How right she was!
When Nate saw the bike something clicked, he couldn't wait to get on. He felt secure with the extra stabilizing around his torso. The handlebars were easy to grip and his feet couldn't slide off the pedals... within minutes he was making his way down the hospital corridor! When we peddled by the office door a woman asked if he would like one of his own.. she gave us a printed page for Save-the-Kid and told us to call.
When you are the parent of a child with special needs you get used to red tape, insurance denials and long waiting lists. I was expecting to submit our name, provide documentation dating back 3 generations and produce DNA samples for everyone in the household... instead I spoke with a real live person, a very friendly man named Frank Matovic who assured me there was no need to sign over our firstborn so that Nathan could have a bike of his own. Instead, he asked about Nathan's specific needs and explained how to measure him to make sure the bike he received was exactly what he needed! At this point in the conversation he also asked about our daughter Anna who also has special needs.. HE TOOK HER MEASUREMENTS AND PROMISED ANNA A BIKE TOO!!!
Well tonight, just about 2 weeks later - BOTH children have beautiful new bikes and even the helmets to go with them!
These bikes are going to make 2 children happy for many years. When they had to come in the house this evening the bikes came in too.. they even wore their helmets in the living room while they sat on them watching a movie. I'm surprised we were able to get them off to go to bed!
We cannot thank Save the Kid enough for the kindness they showed to Nathan & Anna. Thank you for providing bikes that will support their therapy goals, that will encourage them to learn new skills and will help them fit in and interact with their peers.
Thank you for helping our kids simply be KIDS!
Thank you to Frank and all the incredible folks at Save The Kind Fund Inc. My daughter Jaden was extremely lucky enough to receive an Amtryke and absolutely loves it. She is very proud of her new bike and finds it so much easier to ride versus her old bIke with training wheels. It's incredible the difference. Thank you, Thank you!

It has been a few years now that I have known and worked with Frank Matovic and the board members of Save The Kid. I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing group. My now 14 year old son with CP loves the bike he received from STK. He rides it all the time, competes in Special Olympics in the summer and rides in our driveway in the winter! Unable to ride a traditional bike, he has mastered the use of the AmTryke bike. It warms my heart to see how much joy it brings him, to be able to move and be independent. I have also experienced the joy of Team members who have received bikes from Save The Kid and Students from our special needs schools. These men and women are kind, compassionate and generous. Above all they understand what a difference a bike can make to a child or adult with disability's. They think of every little detail when they deliver their bikes and the children's lives are changed forever! Great group doing great things!

My son is a Special Olympics athlete that competes in cycling. When he outgrew his trike this past year I was at a loss as to how I was going to afford a new bike and how long it would take for me to acquire the funds for a new one. At the same time, I was in the process of organizing a bike day event for the Special Needs Students at our school and surrounding communities. A friend steered me toward the president of STK and before long my biggest worries were over. I have been blessed by knowing the members of STK. This group does amazing things for kids in need. In our case it was a new adapted AmTryke bike for my son and one by one, all the children on the wish list that attended our bike day event last summer. Most of these children have never had the joy of riding a bike and now they are not only having fun but are getting much needed therapy as well. I can't say enough good things or thank them enough for all they have done for us. Truly, amazing people doing great things for kids in need!
We really love the bike's you've been able to provide to our daughter. She recently received her 2nd bike and he face just lit up when she saw it. She was so happy to ride it around and show all of her friends in the neighborhood. The bikes have made it so she's able to ride along with her sisters and friends. Great job! Great organization!.

This charity has helped my family by providing assistance to help us get back and forth to the hospital to take care of our terminally ill child. Everyone is extremely helpful and pleasant. I felt humbled and secure after calling them. I am very grateful to this company for the support it has shown my child and the peace of mind it has given me knowing that I never have to worry about running out of gas traveling to the hospital. I love this charity and I think they do an amazing job.

Our son was born with cerebral palsy due to a stroke. We were told at 3 months old that due to the stroke we should prepair for him to never walk, talk, and would have almost no fine motor skills. That was not a diagnosis we were willing to settle for, so from the age of 3 months through his teen years he spent week after week in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. He spent many hours working with the school and therapists and 18 years later our son is attending high school and has a wall of accomplishments ranging from pee wee football to bowling to tractor pulling and now high school lacrosse. He refuses to say he can't but rather says He can, just give him time to figure it out. The one activity our family has never been able to attempt is a simple bike ride. A custom bike for our son was always out of our reach. We were never able to give him the custom bike he would need to accomplish this dream. A few days ago that dream came true for our son Woodie with the help and generosity of Save the Kid Fund. Now our family is planning another great adventure. Woodie is extremely excited and eager to see where he will be able to go now. Our deepest thanks to all the heroes at Save the Kid Fund. This gift will be treasured for years to come by our entire family.

This is a truly amazing place! I was looking to get my special needs daughter a bike and Francis came out and helped us out so much! He brought out the bike all put together and it was like Christmas for my daughter. She loves to ride her special needs bike and be just like the other kids. This is truly an amazing thing they do to help families get the things they need that they can't afford otherwise :)

I have an eleven year old special needs child who does not walk or talk. He is very aware of his surroundings and always gets excited to see bicycles on tv or at the store. This organization went above and beyond to help his wish of being able to ride one come true. He gets the biggest smile and laughs so much every time we go for a bike ride. Not only did this organization help Ryan achieve his goal, they embraced our family and gave us and opportunity to have many quality, bonding times with our son!

I am an employee at a public middle school in Rhode Island. We had four students who were in need of basic necessities. With the help of Save the Kid the families received winter clothing and household items. I contacted Save the Kid just before Christmas 2015, and they responded swiftly and were able to help within days of my request. The families were extremely grateful and I was in awe of Save the Kid. Michael was outstanding and went above and beyond to help. Thank you Save the Kid!

When our 2 year old daughter Jasmine was diagnosed in September 2014 with Stage IV High Risk Neuroblastoma we were devastated, and our lives were turned upside down. We had no idea how we were going to pay the hospital bills, house bills, and be able to provide gas and food while going to and from Yale New Haven Hospital. That is when Save The Kid Fund stepped in and saved us. They helped us with our heating bills, hospital bills, fuel costs to and from the hospital, and helped us with meals while in the hospital. Jasmine has been battling her cancer for over a year now and Save The Kid Fund has been there through it all. Not only have they helped us financially, but they have helped us emotionally. They have always been there to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on. We are truly blessed to have Save The Kid Fund come into our lives. Thank you for all your thoughts, prayers and blessings.

This remarkable group of caring souls has helped my family immensely. My 8 yr old son was diagnosed with brain cancer last year at this time, and at that point, I had to leave 3 jobs to care for him. Now, a year later, with my son thankfully in remission, I'm struggling to get back to work and pay my way. Save the Kid Fund has been incredibly generous in helping us with travel expenses for my son's appointments. In addition, we have been so very fortunate to have assistance with groceries as well. I am forever grateful to these amazing folks who lend their time and devotion to those who have fallen on hard times. Their actions have allowed me to focus more on my kids, and reduced my daily worries greatly. We are lucky to know such wonderful people, who have come into our lives and will forever be in our hearts.

I learned of this non-profit through their passion for helping children smile. My nephew, Raymond, received a bike last week - and he has not stopped smiling. I had never heard of this non-profit until that time. My niece explained to me the expense of the bikes and that they would have never been able to afford one. "Grampy's" made that happen and making it even better - that is the name all of the grandchildren in our family called my Dad. I want to sincerely thank all involved for my nephew's happiness brought about by their passion and generosity. Words will not adequately express our gratitude!
Bryon received his second special needs bike on Saturday from Save The Kid Fund Inc., and he was so excited to be able to ride again!
He received his first bike from this organization at age 3, after diagnosis with a brain tumor and a series of devastating surgeries rendered him partially paralyzed and unable to walk or talk. This bike served him well - providing an opportunity to exercise in the fresh air and just be a kid - for many years, until finally he outgrew it. Save The Kid Fund recognized immediately the valuable impact this equipment had on the quality of Bryon's life, and came forward once again to provide him with a larger bike, better suited to Bryon's deteriorating core strength and flexibility. They also were able to find a new home for his beloved first bike, where another little kid will doubtless find much pleasure in it.
This group offers families like ours the opportunity to offer our children special recreational equipment that insurance does not consider necessary, and which is often prohibitively priced beyond the practical means of a family struggling with healthcare and hospital transportation costs. They enrich the lives of children with their kind generosity and foresight and we are so grateful for their hard work and dedication.
Thank you, Bryon's Mom

SavetheKid recently donated a low-rider to my 9 year old nephew Luke who has autism. Luke has had difficulties with balance and riding a bike. The low-rider was the perfect fit for him to enjoy a bike ride without stress. It was so amazing to see him ride! I was introduced to SavetheKid in our company's cafeteria during a United Way campaign. The members of SavetheKid were friendly and very open to hearing the story of my nephew. Initially I was inquiring about whether or not SavetheKid would modify his bike with adult sized training wheels, but they took a step further...a HUGE step further. Luke received his bike in April 2015, which is also Autism Awareness Month. We are so very grateful to SavetheKid and Frank Matovic for selecting Luke and giving him the freedom to ride a bike!!

My son received a wonderful AmTryke bike provided by Save the Kid Fund, Inc. Frank is the kind of man that thoroughly loves his job - this is his calling. When my son's bike arrived, he personally delivered it with his lovely wife to my home. We talked for a while and he was able to meet my son and take pictures of him riding his new bike. Frank took the time to explain all of the aspects of the bike to me and how to make any adjustments. A helmet was also provided. My son is not able to ride a traditional bike. The AmTryke bike that was provided to him through Save the Kid Fund will allow him to enjoy riding without worry. My husband and I are looking forward to enjoying the spring and summer outside with our son while he enjoys a great bike ride. I hope that Save the Kid Fund will be around forever doing such good deeds for others.

My daughter Lauren has Down's syndrome and is a below knee amputee. She lost her leg at 13 months old. She can walk with a prosthesis but has gait issues. I was hoping to get her a bike to help with bending the knee and her walking. I heard about the bikes and than Frank and his crew heard about Lauren. I can not thank them enough. She was so excited when she saw the bike and even more so that she could ride it. She could not peddle a typical 2 wheel with trainers. She is going to ride with the special Olympics thanks to "Save the kid". Save the Kid is a great organization filling a need that physically, emotionally and socially is important for those kids. Thank you so much.
We have a daughter, Trisha Paradis, who is both physically and mentally challenged. Our experience with Save the Kid and Frank Matovic in particular was wonderful.
Trisha has been participating in Special Olympics for the past 4 years. During cycling we had to borrow a trike from another participant as we could not afford to purchase a tricycle for Trisha. The one she borrowed was difficult for her to maneuver and too big for her. Although the owner of the borrowed trike was kind enough to offer to let us take it home, we could not. It did not come apart so did not fit in either of our cars.
Last year Trisha was invited to participate in the AmTrak bike day that took place in July. Attending the bike day event was very beneficial to Trisha. She was put on an AmBucs wish list and we were trying to raise the funds when we received a call letting us know that Save the Kid wanted to purchase a trike for her. When I called Frank, he set up a time within a couple of weeks to deliver the trike. Not only did he deliver it, he assembled it and spent time showing us how to adjust it for Trisha's size and how to take it apart for transporting it. Frank was also kind enough to show Trisha how to operate the trike. Frank is a very kind hearted man and made it possible for Trisha to experience riding outside of Special Olympics and school. Words can not express our gratitude for this wonderful gift.
Warmest Regards,
Dave and Karen Paradis

My grandson Kyle has faced many challenges in his life, many more than most of us will ever encounter. He has a developmental delay that prevents him from participating in most sporting activities typical peers enjoy. A few years ago he became involved with Oxford Special Olympics and joined their cycling team.
Kyle has very poor balance and upper body strength and this has prohibited him from riding a scooter or two wheel bike and skating for fear of him being injured in a fall. He also has a bleeding disorder so a fall or internal injury of any kind can be very significant.
He rode a tricycle in competition. Although he loved to race he was worried about driving too fast on bumpy or uneven pavement or taking corners because his trike would tend to tip to one side. Last year in competition he took a nasty fall rounding a curve near the end of his race. According to the rules, he could not be assisted unless he was badly injured so we watched him sitting on the track trying to compose himself and finish the race. After what seemed a long time, he stood up and limped to his trike. He mounted the seat and finished the race slowly because his handlebars had been twisted in the fall.
Kyle surely represented the Olympic Oath, "Let me win, but if I cannot win let me be brave in the attempt" He had bruises on his knee, elbow and hip but luckily there was not much bleeding. As he limped off of the track he said to me "Grammy can we fix my bike so I can race again!" Fortunately his races were over but he was so disappointed that he did not finish the race in time to win a medal.
Last summer the Parent Association at ACES Village School held an AM Tryke bike fair. Frank Matovic and his partner in Save the Kid visited the fair and committed to find funding to purchases bikes for some of the children.
One of he bikes on display was a recumbent recreation cycle. The low to the ground frame and joystick steering was exactly what Kyle needed to provide stability and support his upper body and arms when steering. When he tested the bike he said " Grammy, I'm not afraid I'm gonna fall of this bike!"
Kyle was placed on the AM Tryke wish list and we were so grateful to hear that Frank's organization had taken Kyle off of the wish list. Words cannot describe the joy and happiness Kyle displayed when Frank pulled up in front of the house with his new bike!
Cycling practice begins in just a few weeks and Kyle is so anxious to begin using his new bike this year. He has been enjoying learning to feel comfortable on his bike and practicing steering and slowing down in anticipation of his competition in June.
Thanks to the generosity of Save the Kid, 15 children who participated in the bike fair have received bikes or tricycles. We are so grateful for Frank's support. His love for the children and for the work that he does is so obvious! I told him he was like Santa Claus to all of us who were lucky enough to be blessed with being a recipient.
I hope I have been able to express what an impact Save the Kid has had on my grandson and our family.

This organization truly is a blessing to so many parents in need including myself. My 11 year old son who is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy was one of the many children granted a bike from this organization. They didn't only give him a bike. They gave him the opportunity for growth socially and physically! Any parent of a child with CP can tell you constant movement is so very important.
It was hand delivered by Frank, a board member of Save the Kids. He is kind, sincere and truly enjoys seeing these children smile.

We had been looking to acquire an AmTryke bike for our daughter for our daughter for several years. She has significant disabilities and the movement and exercise of the bike are perfect for her. We were put in touch with the Save the Kid Fund through her school and lucky enough to be chosen to receive a bike.
Not only were we given the bike, it was built, configured and delivered in person. The bike has been a huge asset for our daughter (we can't wait for the snow to go away so that she can use it again) and we are extremely grateful to Save the Kid for all the work that they do.

Hello,
My son Harrison has Cerebral Palsy and a rare genetic disorder that has made him have very low muscle tone. A brand new, cherry red tricycle was donated to him through this amazing group. We can't thank Trudy Lasky and Frank Matovic enough for their tireless work in making this happen.
You guys are incredible!
Sincerely,
Wayne & Jackie Camarro
P. S. Harry loves his new bike!

Save The Kid Fund began in 1987 to provide assistance to children less fortunate than our own. We have given in excess of $800,000 to children with less than 2% in expences. STK is an all volunteer organization with a service area of Connecticut and Rhode Island. The STK Freedom Program provides special bicycles to children who would otherwise be limited in childhood activities. This program provides life changing experiences for the kids.
