I volunteered with Sasha Bruce Youthwork for their Tulipalooza event. It was so well-organized and a lot of fun! I would recommend everyone be a part of this event at some point.

I volunteered at the MLK day of service at GWU. It was a great time.

My university partnered with Sasha Bruce Youthwork to celebrate MLK Day of Service and it was such a great experience. Our planning process with the SBY team consisted of great communication and the actual project was well organized, fun, and meaningful. We have worked with them in years past too; our volunteers always have a great time and the work Sasha Bruce Youthwork does is so critical for our DC community.

I volunteered my services today at Sasha Bruce as part of participating in my employers equity and action mission. I must say the experience there was phenomenal watching how much the staff really care about the welfare of our youth and giving them a place to feel needed. I would highly recommend anyone interested in checking this organization out for themselves.

I volunteered on a Service Project Sasha Bruce House and heard firsthand the benefits this organization has to the community and the people within. What a great organization that takes leading through service to the highest level.

Sasha Bruce is tenacious and tireless in their support of at risk youth. They provide this support from within the community and have set lives on a new trajectory - sometimes once is all it takes, but they're willing to assist many times with the same youth if that is what it takes. Admirable dedication to their mission!

It was a great experience to work on the Reach House for Sasha Bruce Youthwork- the boys home needed some help and I am glad I was part of AEC Cares to offer up that help. It was nice hearing from a past young man who spent some time in the Reach House and to see the huge and positive impact it had on him and has help him become a very driven man who is on his way to giving back to the community

Our service project with Sasha Bruce was amazing. From design to reality, Sasha Bruce teamed collaboratively with AEC Cares to pull off an impactful transformation of their facility. This directly impacted the lives of the children they serve. Simply put, they are an amazing organization.

The Sasha Bruce Youthwork organization is simply extraordinary. Our recent experience in working on the REACH facility in DC gave us a chance to learn about the residents, their stories, and how SBY helps them to be find a path to develop steady, reliable, life skills. We were so impressed by the hands on and intimate approach taken by Debby Shore and her team. We left the week feeling like an enduring part of the family. We are so happy and encouraged by the opportunity to help the population that SBY serves, because they are simply put - extraordinary stewards of young people.

Sasha Bruce is an absolutely incredible organization. From the top down it is run by professional and caring human beings who want to contribute to the overall well-being of it's residents and members served.

My company volunteered in renovating the REACH house, which is one of many through Sasha Bruce and it was an absolutely incredible experience. We had over 100+ team members in the building and architectural community come together to make the REACH house a warm and inviting place for its residents. Debby and George are some of the kindest people you'll ever meet and have dedicated their life to service in the community.

We've partnered with a lot of nonprofits, but Sasha Bruce has stolen a huge piece of my heart and I can only hope the mission and impact continues to expand through the Greater DC area.

It was a pleasure getting to serve with this organization in the past. I was able to serve alongside other families and groups that helped setup a quality home for mother's in need. Sasha Bruce continues to serve the community in many beneficial ways.

As a high-school educator I know how important it is to support the youth as they prepare to enter the adult world. I like that Sasha Bruce provides mental health counseling and housing for at risk young people in the Metro area. I'm happy to have donated financially and provided hands on support setting up furniture in one of their new group homes. Go Sasha Bruce!

Sasha Bruce Youthwork is a game-changer! I initially worked on two projects with them - one involved making a video for their Gala, where I learned about their profound impact on DC youth. The other project had me taking photos of a mural they painted at one of their locations, where I met inspiring youth and witnessed their heartwarming connection with the staff. These experiences motivated me to join their full-time team. Sasha Bruce Youthwork's mission is all about nurturing, inspiring, and serving youth with love. It's an incredible organization making a real difference in the lives of the youth they support.

The work that Sasha Bruce does cannot be understated - they deliver significant impact to the lives of youth in the Washington DC area. Their staff are dedicated to the work and also engaging with volunteers and donors, helping educate on short and long-term needs of the organization and the young people they serve, while providing ample opportunity to help achieve those goals through contributions of time and resources. I believe that one of the best things we can do for a better world is to help our children with what they need to grow into responsible, productive and caring adults. There are no shortcuts to this; it requires one on one caring, loving and consistent adult attention. Sasha Bruce delivers this to our most vulnerable children and that is why I support them.

I am a long time staff member at Sasha Bruce Youthwork. This is a place that genuinely cares about the young people they work with and always tries to make it work. This philosophy is what drew me to the agency initially and what continues to motivate me in my day to day duties.

I support Sasha Bruce because they serve teenagers who may be homeless or with an unstable home life, a group that is vulnerable to being preyed on while trying to transition to a stable adulthood. I particularly give to an SB fund that is there for the "life happens" moments, when money is needed for one-off purchases for particular clients. I like that Sasha Bruce can serve a whole group through outreach services, and also respond to specific individual needs.

Sasha Bruce Youthwork (SBY) is doing incredible work to end youth homelessness in the DMV. It’s been a delight to partner with their dedicated team who go above and beyond to help young people find safe homes, achieve good physical and mental health, and maintain supportive families. Any young person in need can count on SBY to be a safe haven and an open door.

I came across Sasha Bruce Youthwork while walking in my neighborhood in DC and after researching their work decided to become a sustaining donor to give them a reliable source of income to better be able to plan and execute their critical work.

I had the opportunity to volunteer with Sasha Bruce at Grace House assembly day. We spent the day assembling furniture and painting a beautiful wall mural. It was a pleasure to spend the day with such positive people, who all seemed to truly enjoy spending their summer Saturday morning contributing just a little bit to what will undoubtedly be an amazing home for some young adults. I was honored to have been able to participate that day, and I look forward to many more opportunities to partner with Sasha Bruce!

I had the opportunity to volunteer with Olaiya's Cradle, a program within Sasha Bruce. During my service day alongside members of my church, we were able to build cribs, beds, diaper changing stations, and living room furniture for the new mothers set to move in. Each mom will have their own room where they can not only stay for up to 3 years but also gain valuable skills and information during their time there. So wow that blew me away. Secondly, being able to see the work and intentionality behind this program was inspiring. As I got to hear from some of the staff present the Why behind Olaiya's Cradle; it showed me that Sasha Bruce really cares about the issues affecting the DC community; and do their best to look at every need within their primary goal (of supporting those experiencing homelessness). Their WHY was that Teenage/Young Adult mothers are turned away from family clinics because they are expectant mothers (not having families yet) and turned away from teenage homes because they are expectant mothers (making them now viewed as adults). Their knowledge of the different resources available and not available helps them as an organization to be intentional and provide services that really will uplift, support, encourage, and aid these young women in this program. Hearing the need and having the opportunity to serve, encourages me not only to continue to support where I can, but encourage others as well.

Thankful for the work Sasha Bruce does and the ability to help. It was wonderful to meet so many volunteers, work together to create a safe place for young mothers and their babies.

They are doing such great work and super appreciative of the help they receive. They are making a great impact to the community.

As the lead for our Community Services Ministry, we love working with Sasha Bruce! Absolutely love how they're changing lives one person at a time. We can see how volunteering and partnering with them touches the lives of teens and young adults in DC. Sasha Bruce gives so many ways to serve and show them they are cared for. We can see how we are helping them make a difference. We have been able to provide Christmas gifts, to outfits for interviews, to special dinners with some in-person engagement and some behind the scenes. We can see the impact. Everyone has been so easy to work with which makes them so pleasant to partner with. Of all the things we have done, our team is always so enthusiastic about opportunities thru Sasha Bruce.

I'm a new volunteer and strongly believe in the work Sasha Bruce is doing. Donations are used wisely to grow this great organization. They provide a safe space and meaningful experiences for young clients experiencing homelessness. Thank you Sasha Bruce!

Sasha Bruce is an amazing nonprofit that is making a positive impact on the lives of young youth and ultimately their families. The Sasha Bruce program allows youth to gain life skills and stable housing while reintegrating them into society. They are truly making a difference in our community!

I have learned so much about working with teenagers and using therapeutic methods to help them understand themselves and the world around them better. At Sasha Bruce, I've learned to help those seeking help understand their own competencies; it's incredible how few people believe they are enough. Through what I've learned in my work with the Youth-Led program, I have become such a well rounded person, and I have had the opportunity to learn about some incredible kids in Anacostia that most of the world doesn't care to look at.

I love working for Sasha Bruce Youthwork. I love the diversity of the staff, residents and our programs. We truly serve the forgotten of the DC metropolitan area and I am impressed with the agencies initiative to hire from the community it serves.

I am currently volunteering at Sasha Bruce Youthwork and love the atmosphere here! The people are nice and caring and go out of their way to help newcomers. I have been truly amazed at all the ways SBY works to help the community of Washington, DC. They have programs that focus on all different issues relating to homelessness so a child in need is bound to be able to receive help from one of our programs.

SBY is a great DC organization with a caring staff! Their comprehensive supports and wrap around services provide a stable structure for youth to move through. I wish them all the best in continuing their great work!

Sasha Bruce Youthwork is an incredible organization that works effectively with disadvantaged youth in Washington, DC. The kids come from broken homes, and have many of the problems that afflict urban inner city youth such as homelessness, dropping out of school, teen pregnancy etc. In the supportive environment created by the staff of SBY, these young people get a second chance to grow up as productive members of society.

My experience with Sasha Bruce was really good. They welcomed me in a friendly, open way and introduced me to my job immediately so I could start working right away. I enjoyed the atmosphere over there conditioned by the nice people who work there and were really grateful for the job I was doing. I appreciate their work a lot and hope they will always have support from people, other organizations etc.
