Sara's Sanctuary

Spending time helping care for the animals is such a fulfilling task. The animals at Sara's sanctuary deserve to live out the rest of their lives in enclosures that give them plenty of space and we'll balanced diets, and I am very glad to have the opportunity to help their cause.

Such an amazing place! This sanctuary truly cares for their animals and it shows! 100% of the money raised goes to the care of the animals from vet care, food, and upgrades to the habitats!

This is an amazing place. The animals are cared for, have great habitats, and are living their best lives. I have been a volunteer at Sara's Sanctuary as well as a donor for the last 3 years. 100% of the money the sanctuary takes in goes directly to the animals for food, vet costs, and habitat upgrades. It is an amazing place, and I am so grateful to get to be a part of this great nonprofit.

I have have been donating to this wonderful organization for years now. There are no words to explain the love and devotion that Terri gives to animals in need. I don't know how she does it. Not only does she take care of the animals 24/7, but she prepares all the daily diets, which is a huge undertaking itself. She is a true animal nutritionist. There are many different species, and they all eat different foods. Even within the same species, she needs to tweak their diets constantly, depending on their weight, age, and health issues. It’s amazing to see the variety of daily food bowls.
I admit, I do not come close to watching my own family’s nutrition, the way these animals are fed. Whatever she does, works! The animal’s live long and happy lives. We need to help this organization, so they continue their great work!

My friend turned me on to this beautiful place that shows how much love they have for animals. I have taken a tour and see the immense need that is needed through donations and volunteering. The animals need so much love and attention and it is evident that the help is needed from any and all who have a giving spirit.

I love animals and Sara's Sanctuary is the perfect place for me to pair my love of animals with my desire to give back to the community. I can be having the worst day, and after volunteering at the sanctuary feel rejuvenated. It is such a positive place where animals are loved and cared for. I highly recommend this non-profit, their sense of caring is like no other.

Sara’s Sanctuary really opened my eyes up to the problems with the exotic pet trade.  Many of the animals taken in were at one time exotic pets.  Not only does the sanctuary take in these, often mistreated, former pets, it also provides a home for injured wildlife who are unable to be returned to the wild.  Terri and the sanctuary do such great work, and I was glad to learn about this fantastic non-profit.

I love animals and was so glad to find Sara’s Sanctuary. I enjoy volunteering here. Terri, the person who runs Sara’s Sanctuary, is so dedicated to and great with all the animals that come to her. This sanctuary is a great nonprofit for those looking to support the humane treatment of animals.

Sara’s Sanctuary is a wonderful location for animals who have been surrendered or rescued! The owner works tirelessly alongside dedicated volunteers to ensure every animal’s needs are met. I learned about Sara's Sanctuary when I met an exceptionally enthusiastic volunteer who told me all about their mission to rescue desperate animals that were in need of a proper home where they could be well taken care of. Sara's rights the wrongs of irresponsible people who attempt to make pets of exotic animals but lack the knowledge and expertise to care for them. I'm glad to know that Sara's Sanctuary is providing a refuge for these amazing creatures and I proudly support their hard work and dedication to their mission. It takes a lot of resources to care for these animals and every little bit helps so any bit of of spare time to volunteer or money is greatly appreciated. Sara’s Sanctuary is a great animal rescue! For many years they have put the individual needs of animals first. Over the years there have been amazing recoveries of animals abused or abandoned. This great organization relies on the hard work of the Director, Terri, who works tirelessly to make sure the animals are well cared for. Support Sara’s Sanctuary to make a REAL difference for animals!

I first volunteered at Sara’s Sanctuary in 2003 and on and off since then. Terri’s enduring dedication to these animals care is very clear and very quickly to see! All creatures have what they need to thrive. As a volunteer, I have clear understanding of their food, social, and hygiene standards from Terri. For me, Terri also sets the bar for caring and setting up volunteers to succeeded. I’ve never been forgotten or got work dumped on me that she doesn’t want to do. Everything she asks a volunteer to do, she would do that and 10 times more.

This place epitomizes the word sanctuary. My visit there is forever etched in my heart. Every animal has their own space that is safe and functional. Their each loved and cared for in such a beautiful way. It gives me great solice as an animal lover to know that this private and loving home is there for them. I only wish there was more places and people like this in the world so no animal would be left behind.

This is an incredible sanctuary with many different and exotic animals, all of whom receive individual love and attention. Terri Miner, the Director of this sanctuary, has devoted her life to giving these animals a wonderful home for the remainder of their lives---a huge commitment and responsibility. I am committed to donating most of my annual charitable contribution to help her continue her most impressive work.

Sara's Sanctuary is not only a haven for animals in need it is also a great volunteer experience for all who care about animals. Terri has a way with injured and infirm animals that is unique, and must be seen to really be appreciated. I cannot think of a more rewarding place to volunteer.

My office team and I volunteered at Sara’s this past May and we all had an amazing experience. The animals at Sara’s are all a priority and are all given the utmost care, food and environment to live. Most of these animals were abandoned, abused or neglected and are now happy, healthy and loved beyond measure. Teri’s devotion to each critter is incredible. Love Sara’s and all that happens at this wonderful haven.

I have volunteered for a few years and it's a great place for animals that need a great home. Sara's Sanctuary is know for helping animals that have been deemed in a condition that they can't survive but are brought back from the brink and are now living happy and healthy lives.

I had the opportunity to see the animals here. There are so many different species of animals and I dont know how they keep up with the many different dietary needs but they do..its quite remarkable!

It is a great place for animals and each one is provided the best possible environment and personal care. Even though I was only able to volunteer here for a short time I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I have been volunteering at Sara's Sanctuary for years now, and every moment has been amazing. We love all the precious animals at the Sanctuary, and they get the best care possible.

I simply love this sanctuary! All work here is done by volunteers, including the Director who singlehandedly & selflessly provides 24/7 care to over 200 animals that were once abandoned, injured or neglected. What I like most about this place is the fact that animals are always given the utmost priority here, along with best possible care and great quality food. The Director strives to maintain clean hygienic environments for them and give each one her undivided attention. Having witnessed it myself over the last few years, I can vouch for the fact that there has never been a compromise! This sanctuary has opened my eyes to how wonderful and loving these critters can be...No other activity has ever given me a greater sense of peace and happiness than volunteering here :)

I have volunteered at Sara’s Sanctuary for a few years now and I absolutely LOVE it. My enthusiasm to be a volunteer never diminishes, which I attribute to the dedication and heart given every day so these animals have a second chance. I remember when Bob, an emu, first arrived. After years in a filthy cage, he was unable to walk and had a large sore on his chest. I didn't know what to expect from this old guy, but he can walk and run now - and even helps me with the weeding! Sara’s Sanctuary is truly an amazing place and the Director works tirelessly to make sure that each animal is given the best care.
