Mission: Bringing people together - in the spirit of Sarah - to change the face of ovarian cancer.
Results: In the past nine years, the Sarah Parvin Foundation, in partnership with the Quakertown Soccer Club, has raised over $350,000 that has gone directly into cancer research through Jefferson University Hospital, support for AstraZeneca Hope Lodge, and programs to help offset the costs for families dealing with cancer. We do this by putting on the largest event held in Bucks County. The festival takes over the town of Quakertown for 3 days, and draws more than 12,000 people together to play soccer, spend time with family and friends, enjoy the festival atmosphere of hope, and participate in a worthy cause.
Target demographics: empower and inspire hope to those effected with ovarian cancer.
Geographic areas served: Quakertown Area
Programs: The Sarah Parvin Foundation was created to help people who are struggling through this journey gain the courage and strength needed to help overcome it. The mission of the Sarah Parvin Foundation is to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families in the spirit that Sarah lived through events that are mostly created by and for children. We strive to empower children of all ages to use their innate strength and courage to make their own unique impact on their lives, the lives of others, and their own community. It is our passion to provide these families with support and encouragement throughout their journey.
