Mission: To educate the public and preserve the history of the santa ynez valley.
Programs: The santa ynez valley historical society's mission is to acquire, preserve, and effectively display items which creatively tell stories related to santa ynez valley history; to encourage research and education in local history; to generate support for and participation in the society's activities among the santa ynez valley community and elsewhere; and to promote the use of the museum, carriage house and library as community resources. To achieve its mission the historical society consistently offers educational programs on local history, changing exhibitions that relate early valley history and culture, childrens workshops, and interpretive displays that impart the unique story of the santa ynez valley.
