Mission: The santa rosa county school readiness coalition, in. D/b/a early learning coalition of santa rosa county, (the coalition) was formed december 20, 1999, as a result of the implementation of the school readiness act, chapter 411 florida statutes. Its primary purpose is to provide a program to prepare pre-school children in santa rosa county, florida to enter kindergarten ready to learn. The coalition is required to implement a comprehensive program of readiness services that enhance the cognitive, social, and physical development of children to achieve performance standards and outcome measures specified by the state.
Programs: Subsidized child care program - this program provides for early education and care for children of families with limited income and enables parents to gain and/or sustain their economic self-sufficiency through maintenance of employment or participation in job skill/vocational training leading to employment.
voluntary pre-kindergarten - this program consists of state mandated dollars used to support a voluntary pre-kindergarten program for all four-year-old children.
