Well, I have written here before but this month is kind of special. I was taking a mission trip to Mexico to an orphanage . The children in this orphanage have all been trafficked, abandoned or abused . Santa Claus Let me take anything I needed because they had extra product from the 66 semi loads of product year to date we have received this year. I found out that Active church in Yucaipa ca Where I attend also is part of many churches that supply 1300 Christmas gifts to that town in Mexico. Santa Claus has been able to fill most of the product for that event to these very in need people. Our leader, Karen Dicarlo never ceases to amaze me how she reaches out to so many organizations and makes things happen. Chuck

I have volunteered at Santa Claus Inc. for 30 years from minor rolls to medium rolls recently our church had a sponsor back out at the last minute that was going to donate school supplies to an orphanage in Mexico. Santa Claus had already sent out 400 back to school backpacks that week and helped me out by giving us 83 backpacks for the orphanage. I am always amazed, even as a continuous volunteer, how we are expanding our roles to help kids everywhere.

The staff and volunteers at Santa Claus Incorporated amaze me every time I see a new report or photo. With only one full-time and three part-time employees this special non-profit has grown over 1000 percent in the past decade. That means that over 95% of the funds are used for programs to help local children and families in crisis of San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Please reach into your pocket and help them with a regular monthly gift. It is tax-deductible and the best place to put your money. God bless you for your help!

Santa Claus Inc. has provided the most essential element of life to children, young people, and families for decades and that essential element is joy. As a board member, I am extremely proud of the impact this organization has within San Bernardino County and the greater Inland Empire. The pandemic highlighted just how deep disparities run for children and families within the same school district and same school site. Our most vulnerable children and youth experiencing conditions such as foster care or being unhoused often times are in the greatest struggle just to have their basic needs met so for Santa Claus Inc. to serve in the capacity of supporting those basic needs and beyond it is truly the gift that keeps giving.

I initially got involved to help with some planning for the future. At the time, Santa Claus Inc. was helping kids have a special Christmas by helping the parents shop. They had just helped about 15,000 kids with a 100 percent volunteer team. In 2023, this robust kid-focused organization will help over 200,000 children in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. They are the lead organization for helping underprivileged kids in times of need. They resource, parents, schools, and faith non-profits with over six million dollars of donated products each year. There is nothing that compares with Santa Claus Inc.!! Your generous financial donations provide timely capacity to help place valuable products in the hands of those that directly touch the lives of kids 12 months of the year.

Santa Claus is off the charts when. I have been closely involved for almost a decade and I continue to be amazed at how this team of 98 percent volunteers figures out how to navigate the changing unknown. Santa Claus Inc continues to meet needs in the Inland Empire. Their established national network with outstanding suppliers provides then the exceptional capacity to meet needs of children and families. COVID has added a layer of a challenge but they are finding ways to meet the needs regardless of the changing circumstances. I am totally impressed by how they face challenges and find new solutions. I am honored to support them with resources and expertise.

Santa Claus iInc is a wonderful organization that I have supported and been involved since 1978. The many aspects that I have been involved in are many from board member to my help with its Christmas Trees Lane. The funds and community participation has done so much to provide for the youth in our community and the many ways that Santa Claus has served.

I began my support in honor of my mother and her memories of the assistance that Santa Claus assisted her family in very tough years as a child. Through their assistance in their lives made such a impression for me to get involved and continue to do work for this organization. Today through all its programs serving so many is making a difference in so many lives.
It is for those reasons I serve and continue to work for much more community service to our communities.

I volunteer at Santa Claus Incorporated a few times a month. I help when they need me to unload trucks that come in with donated products. Sometimes they need me for quite a few hours, but I am happy to help because I too have been helped. I encourage all my friends in college and other young adults to help them out. It is near home so the gas does not cost too much. You'll be glad you did!

During their Christmas Distribution I love to see the reactions of the families that are being assisted during this time. Any chance I get to volunteer, I will, and most of the time I don't go alone. There is an entourage with me.
They do so much to help those who need it. It's an overwhelming feeling to see it first hand.

I have volunteered for this organization for well over 20 years and I love it. We have so many dedicated and caring volunteers to work with that it is a pleasure to go in every week. I am co-chair of the Clothing Department and because of the hard work of our Executive Director, Karen, DiCarlo, the quality of the clothing we are able to give out has increased ten-fold. She has made contacts and agreements with several organizations and the system is working very well. Many people know basically what we do but everyone that comes through for a tour of our facility is very impressed with the way we operate and many of them tell us that they thought they knew what we did but really did not understand everything that goes in to making this organization function as well as it does. It's a great place!!!

I have been volunteering at Santa Claus Inc for over 20 years and we have the greatest group of volunteers in the world. I am in the clothing department for Christmas Distribution and we have several dedicated volunteers that come in week after week to package the children's clothing for Christmas. In addition the ladies in our sewing department REALLY helped us out this year as we were very short in Girls sizes 6 and 8 so they made over 200 size 6 jumpers many of them with tops to match and over 100 size 8 jumpers again some with tops to match. If we get clothing donated that needs to have a seam repaired or something else fixed, they figure out a way to make it usable for us. They are amazing. We could not do without all of the outside volunteers that make clothing for us and they also make blankets for the layette department, tote bags for the YES program and whatever else someone needs. It is a real "feel good" place to volunteer and as long as I am able I will be there!!!

I have been a longtime supporter of Santa Claus, Inc. My involvement started when I was employed in the 1970's by TRW Ballistic Missile Division located in San Bernardino, CA. I worked in Administrative Services and this department was responsible for community support to local Non-Profit organizations. This support continued until my retirement in 2003. At that time, I became a weekly Wednesday volunteer at The Santa Claus Warehouse preforming many jobs. I now co-chair the Used Book Department that provides books to parents giving them the opportunity to select as many books they like during the Annual Distribution of new a clothing item, new toy, and new book for children approved, ages newborn to 12 years of age. This organization provides miracles to the citizens of the Inland Empire.

Over 20 years ago my friend and I started volunteering at Santa Claus every 3rd Wednesday when we came to San Bernardino to get our hair cut. Then we came every week and when the chairman of the clothing department needed help we agreed to help. Then she passed away and all of a sudden we were in charge of the clothing department for Christmas distribution!! We have been there ever since. Obviously we love what we do and get a good feeling when we know that some needy children are getting something nice for Christmas. We have so many wonderful volunteers that help us all through the year. Great organization.

Santa Claus Inc of SB is a great support system in our community. During this pandemic, they have been extremely resourceful and have found ways to touch the lives of children in our community, through partnerships. In an effort to do a summer outreach to our community, they partnered with our school district to bring Christmas in July. Families were invited to come and select toys for their gifts, but the real mission was to discreetly share food, socks, shoes, and do a wellness check in a safe and private environment. We could not have done this without the support of SCI. Because of their outreach, we were able to collaborate with other agencies to touch the lives of our neediest families. Thank you for always being open to partnership programs that can bring much-needed resources. Your organization is always at the forefront of bridging partnerships and moving resources out as quickly as possible. Thank you for all that you do.

Early on in the pandemic, a mother was involved in a car accident and needed to replace both of her children’s car seats. She had been laid off of her job and had no means to replace them. She reached out to a counselor who in turn reached out to the YES program . We were able to give her 2 brand new car passenger safety seats for her children. The counselor reported that the mother was overwhelmed by the “gift” crying, she said she’d not expected new but used ones. When it comes to car passenger safety seats we only give new.

From distributing toys, clothing and books to families at Christmas time, the organization has expanded its year-round program to encompass the needs of children in two counties. I have worked with Santa Claus, Inc. as a regular volunteer for nearly 6 years, and am continually impressed with the people who invest themselves in this organization. Each week, all year long, dozens of us prepare dolls, toys, clothing, books and magazines for distribution to some 16,000 children at Christmas time. More "elves" help from home, sewing clothes and quilts, or knitting sweaters and caps. Yet another group works tirelessly to provide clothing, hygiene and school supplies, as well as birthday gift bags to meet the needs of nearly 100,000 (and growing) children in local communities, distributed through partner charities and school districts. My name is Aimee and I'm with Time for Change Foundation. I wanted to give a shout out to Santa Claus Inc. for everything that they do! I work with homeless women and children and this organization provides birthday gifts for our children to help make them feel special on their special day! It is so important to recognize each and every child's birthday especially when they're living in an emergency shelter and might be going through a lot! This organization is always so friendly and organized! They also help our families out during Christmas time, every child deserves to experience Christmas and it's hard for our mothers to provide a proper Christmas when they are experiencing tough times and are living in a shelter. I am very grateful for this organization and all that they do! They say it takes a village to raise a child and I see that working in the world of Non-profits. One organization cannot do it alone! It takes us all working together to provide the highest care possible for our families and to provide them with all the resources needed. Thank you sincerely for everything that you do!!!

When I retired as an educator, I was looking for a place to volunteer where families were the focus. A friend took me to Santa Claus, Inc. because she felt it would be a perfect match for me. How RIGHT she was! I found volunteers to be friendly, dedicated, hard working and continually looking for ways to provide more services to families and children in need. Since beginning as a volunteer there in 2007, I have had the privilege to work in various positions. These opportunities broadened my understanding of the organization.. We have continued to grow and expand those services. I volunteer with several other groups but Santa Claus, Inc. has earned the "top spot" on my list. Why? This is an organization that goes the "extra mile" for those in need while continuing to be upbeat and tireless in their efforts. This is why they truly exemplify the title, "Great Non Profit".

As a public elementary teacher for nearly 40 years, I have had the opportunity to observe children daily. Frequently, when a child was given a small prize, treat or gift I watched him/her choose one for a younger sibling. What I love about Santa Claus Inc. is that a child does not have to choose, every child in the family gets a toy, book and an item of clothing.

A few days before Christmas 2018, a neighbor came to me and told me about another neighbor with five children (ages 9 to 9 mos.) who was not going to be able to give her kids any Christmas gifts. She asked if I could call Santa Claus Inc. I called the warehouse and explained the situation to volunteers there. Clothing was the most critical need for those children as cold mountain weather was already setting in..

I was able to get the children's sizes and by the next day, two hefty bags of beautiful, warm, age-appropriate clothes, shoes and boots filled the bags. I was emotional over this generosity and the children squealed and cried at delivery time.

It was a really good day in this mountain neighborhood thanks to Santa Claus . I will never stop believing in Santa's beautiful spirit.

I am a Homeless /Foster Liaison for San Bernardino City Unified School District. I have worked very closely with Santa Claus INC for the last 11 years. They have helped to provide clothing, shoes, back packs, school supplies; and hygiene products on a regular basis. They have been a real blessing to the district and the community in general. They implemented a birthday program where children get a gift and a birthday cake on their birthday. During the holiday time they assist the families by giving gifts and clothing for children. Most importantly, in time of crisis they rise to the occasion by assisting families in their areas of need. During the fire season Santa Claus INC worked closely with community agencies and gave families resources to replace clothing and personal items. I was sharing with Sandy Lourenco that a family had lost a mother in child birth. The father recorded her heartbeat just before her death. He told me when affordable., he was going to build a bear for himself and all 4 children and input his wife's heartbeat. Sandy made it possible for the family to purchase the bears. It brought so much joy to their hearts.

I have had the honor to volunteer countless hours with Santa Claus Incorporated helping the under-served children of the Inland Empire. When I began in the 1980s the need wasn't nearly as great, but we helped those we could. Last year this organization served over 90,000 latino children and over 35,000 others right here in our community. Without the year round services of this wonderful non-profit these 125,000 needy children would have gone without shoes, coats, socks, underwear, pants, shirts, school supplies and personal hygiene. Thank the Lord for all who serve, donate and volunteer! God bless you all

I have been involved with this group for 5 years now and when I turn in little dresses for the kids I know they will go to kids that really need it. My guild turns in hundreds of items per year. Without their services, I know over 100,000 kids each year would be going without things that make their lives better. Thanks Santa Claus Inc. For serving kids throughout the year. As the co-chairman of the Clothing Department I can assure you things are in full swing trying to get ready for our annual Christmas Distribution to needy children in the Inland Empire. We are packaging clothing like crazy in order to have enough items ready for the parents to select on their "shopping trip" through our workshoppe. The toy and book departments are doing the same thing. We work every Wednesday from 9 to 12 so if you want to help just show up and we will find a place for your. Our Open House is being held on December 4th - check our website for more info -- and that is the day the workshoppe looks its very best and everyone is welcome to drop by for a snack and something to drink. If you haven't had a tour we will be happy to take you on one. Also, if you have time from December 5th to December 12th that you would like to serve as an "escort" to our recipients to take them on their shopping trip, please let us know what days and hours you can help. Hope to see you there soon.

As a Board Member of Santa Clause Inc. (SCI) and a former resident of San Bernardino, I am thankful for everything Santa Clause Inc. does for our families in our communities. Growing up in San Bernardino was not easy for my family and I. like many of our families, we struggle to have food at the table, clothes in our backs or a toy to play with. I am humble to say that I was one of those children that benefited from getting something from SCI.

I didn't know that one day i would be part of such an amazing organization with amazing people volunteering and working for SCI. Our Y.E.S. program has expanded the services to provide much needed assistance. They truly care and I am thankful and honor to be part of SCI and give back to our families in need.

I just finished a tour at Santa Claus Inc., and it is mindblowing what this nonprofit has accomplished. While this organization sounds Christmas-based, they help the local community all year around. On top of their Christmas distribution, they have a birthday program that gives gifts to kids whose parents don't bother to celebrate their birthdays. And they have a new program called All My Own where they provide abused kids who were just taken from the homes by the CPS and taken to Loma Linda hospital a big bag of clothes, blankets, toys, etc. And they have three professional seamstresses who volunteer to make children clothes, blankets, bags, and even clothes for the toys. If you were to walk around here and saw the countless handcrafted stuff and how clean and organized the place is, you could tell how passionate, how loving the volunteers of the organization are.

I was blessed with the opportunity to work at Santa Claus, Inc. as a volunteer from the mid 1980's to 2012, during which time I spent 9 years as the organization's President. Volunteering for such a great organization was a wonderful and rewarding experience throughout much of my life - one that I most definitely will return to one day. I was hired as the organization's first employee (and first Executive Director) just before its 60 Year Diamond Jubilee celebration in December 2012. Because of the tremendous accomplishments of SCI and its strong history of commitment to local communities It had become obvious that it was absolutely one of the most vital resources for low income families throughout Inland Empire cities. It had also become obvious that it was growing, not by choice, but because the need for services in local areas was steadily increasing. The decision was made that in order for the organization to grow and flourish it needed someone at the helm - a person who would be accountable for setting and reaching strong goals for the organization, who would develop and maintain a major donor base and oversee grant development and the financial health of the organization, who would develop and implement strong programs, and, last but not least, who would manage a very committed group of volunteers. Since 2012 SCI has nearly tripled its giving from 18,000 to over 55,500 in 2014. The SCI Year Round programs are flourishing, having touched the lives of over 42,000 children in 2014. I am so very proud of all of the wonderful volunteers who work tirelessly with such tremendous commitment to make Santa Claus, Inc. one of the most forward thinking and most effective organizations in our state.

I have worked at Santa Claus for 5 years and am proud to be a current member of the Board. Santa Claus has grown tremendously during this time in serving children and families. It's year round program provides help beyond the holiday season. Most of the work is done by volunteers. What sets Santa Claus apart from other charities is the spirit and ingenuity of the volunteers.

Over the years, Santa Claus Inc has adopted the Colton Joint Unified School District. They have been a blessing to numerous families in our district. It is because of their generosity, we have been able to provide the less fortunate in our district, with Christmas gifts and other essential items that they would not receive otherwise. Their generosity does not stop at Christmas. Their generosity extends throughout the year and continues to meet the needs of our families!

Santa Claus, Inc. has been fabulous for our students and families at Emmerton Elementary. They have supplied us with shoes for our students. They even sent a member from Santa Claus, Inc. to our school wide orientation, which was the day before school started to make sure our students had opportunities for new shoes.

In addition to helping our families at Christmas time. Santa Claus Inc. has provided our "Superhero Readers" with new books for awards. This helps our students to take books home to their families and to promote literacy. Many times, they do not have enough books in their home for their children to read.

Another fantastic part of Santa Claus, Inc. this year has been the donations for our annual "Reindeer Lane" gift shop for the kids. We appreciated all their help and donations to help make a successful gift shop for our kids.

Our PTO and volunteers love to go to Santa Claus Inc. during distribution time. We love to help and it makes all of us feel so good to help others. They do a fantastic service to the community.

Holidays 1979, our family is enduring chronic unemployment, a few medical set backs and other financial issues that led us to seek out public assistance and completely forget about Xmas and what it meant. Until one day I saw my Aunt and others - arrive at home with "secret packages". Those same packages including a Barbie doll wearing white little heels and a pink bathing suit destined for me, helped me understand that there were people who cared about a young Hispanic child, and what she felt on such an important Holiday. The memory has never left me. It has been present through my college career at UCLA and subsequently Harvard, and in my professional decision to work in the not-for-profit realm! In 2012 I met Karen DiCarlo- SCI's Executive Director and within a second I knew this was the same place that helped us, and over half a million children, so many years ago and every year since 1952. SCI is the true definition of charitable giving, nonprofit focus and genuine community dedication. I am PROUD to be affiliated with such an incredible charity, great leadership and above all true commitment to help the needy in our Inland Empire community. SCI belongs with the best, United Way, Red Cross and others that have survived half a century of helping others!

I've organized an annual Make a Difference Day event at Santa Claus, Inc. on behalf of the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity for more than 10 years. Our 200+ members cherish their contribution to this worthy charity. When I return to assist with distribution after our event each year, I am gratified to see first-hand how our efforts and donations impact SCI's clients. This organization is a shining example of what can be accomplished when a dedicated and caring group of individuals come together in selfless contribution to their community.

My name is Harriet and I have been serving as a Santa Claus Incorporated volunteer for almost 50 years. Even though I am almost ninety years old, I still knit sweaters and blankets for the children. I have served many roles with the organization and have invited many to serve with me. There has never been a more worthwhile endeavor with which to spend my time, and the countless others who have volunteered with me all feel the same. Won't you contact Santa Claus Incorporated today and share your skills, time and money to help the children that are so needy in our community. I look forward to meeting you at the Santa Claus workshoppe soon. God bless

I have been a volunteer for this fantastic organization for several years, most notably as the organizer for the annual fund raising golf tournament in San Bernardino. After the last 3 years that I served in this capacity in which we were able to raise significant funds to help the children and their parents for the annual Christmas distribution, I had to resign because of ill health. But I continue to donate clothes, shoes, books, etc. and also take part in the annual Christmas Tree event which is one of their major fund-raising events. Organizing and running a golf event takes a lot of time and work, but I was always provided with support from the staff and other volunteers. And because the organization is so well known in the region, local businesses were always willing to sign up teams of golfers, purchase tee signs, plus provide many raffle prizes of significant value. This non-profit is truly one of the best. Do not hesitate to call me at 909-790-9222 if any questions.

Santa Claus Inc. is our family's favorite local children's charity. I have been involved with Santa Claus for a very long time as attending the charity's beautiful Christmas Tree Lane event every year is a 30 year tradition in our family. The amazing work that is done by Santa Claus in our community is so vital for those who are less fortunate. My family has moved away from San Bernardino but my husband and I still go back to volunteer for our favorite charity. We are especially excited about Santa Claus, Inc.'s year round program. It is the perfect way for Santa Claus to continue expanding its wonderful work.

We have taught our children and other family members about the joy of volunteering by involving them at Santa Claus Incorporated. Four generations of family members have volunteered there because the experience of helping others in our own community is so real at Santa Claus Inc. Many helpers at this fine old non-profit were helped by the organization when they were young. Many of these people are very successful members of society today and give a great deal of credit for their joy at the holidays to Santa Claus Incorporated. They want to give back to the organization that helped them when they were young, and so many continue to do so. Some who I am friends with are today doctors, businessmen and women, political leaders and teachers. They all give credit for their success attitude to the dignity of being helped by caring volunteers Santa Claus Incorporated. You should come to our workshoppe and see how to become involved with the Inland Empire's largest children's charity today. Call us at 909-885-0090

In my opinion Santa Claus, Inc. is the most worthwhile organization in San Bernardino County. Its staff and volunteers are wonderfully community minded. I have been a volunteer for over 20 years and plan to be there for at least 20 more years. I am proud to be a member of the Santa Claus, Inc. family!

Santa Claus Inc. is such a blessing to our community!! They are always so generous to our local families who live in poverty. They give our children the opportunity to experience the magic of Christmas. I work with teen parents and Santa Claus Inc. has always been generous and helped our teens in time of need, even offering help throughout the year. Teen parents face so many challenges and getting needed supplies for their children can be such a big stress relief. Stress levels often rise during the holidays or times of need, Santa Claus Inc's service fills that gap and helps reduce the likelihood of relationship violence or theft (that can sometimes happen when someone finds themselves unable to fulfill a need). Santa Claus Inc. is a wonderful organization filled with caring people.

I have volunteered with Santa Claus Inc. for over ten years. It is a group of caring volunteers who wish that all children could have something special for Christmas. We have added a department that gives things out all year long so that we are reaching and assisting many more children than before. We are well organized and work all year to make sure that we are ready for Distribution the first week of December. In 2014 we served over 13,000 children. In 2015, we hope to serve 15,000. With the support of the community, we will reach that goal. It is a special feeling to know that we have helped parent and child. I think this is one of the best nonprofits I have ever been associated with.

I have come to know Santa Claus Inc. quite well over the last couple of years and I am incredibly impressed with this amazing non-profit! The volunteers are amazingly committed with their time and energy. The executive director is the most outstanding I have known! And best of all, this non-profit serves kids in an area where the needs are significant!

I have worked as a volunteer for Santa Claus, Inc. for almost thirty years. I have experienced it's growth into one of the Inland Empire's largest children's charities. When I started in 1985 this fine non-profit organization served almost four thousand children through it's annual week-long Christmas distribution. By 2014 we served over 55,340 children through Christmas and year-round programs. Please come volunteer with us so we can help even more of the extremely poor families and children in the greater San Bernardino area. Over 99% of everyone who works for Santa Claus, Inc are volunteers just like me. Once you come work with us, you will stay for years like I have.

This is the most worthy charity I have seen in the Inland Empire! Santa Claus, Inc. helps over 50,000 needy kids a year through 2 wonderfully successful programs - a year round outreach program and a Christmas Distribution program. Through these programs they provide new clothing, toys, educational materials, backpacks, books, birthday baskets, blankets, shoes, warm coats, and much more. They have hundreds of wonderful volunteers who help families in Colton, Highland, Redlands, Rialto, and San Bernardino. Santa Claus, Inc. is the best!

This is the finest organization I have ever been a part of. The long-term dedication of hundreds of volunteers is amazing. The quality and quanitity of donations to needy children is greater than any other agency of its kind in the area. More than 18,000 children are served each year. The agency strives to put Christmas back in the home - so that parents can provide a happy holiday for their children. We have begun to reach out to the same population throughout the year. Working for this agency is an honor and a thrill.

I have volunteered with this organization for over 8 years and it is a wonderful place. This year - 2011 - we gave new clothes, new toys, and new books to about 11,000 children. In addition we served another 5,000 children through our Outreach Program where we assist other charities in our area. We give out our gifts the first week in December because surveys have shown that there is less violence in the homes if the parents know that they have at least something to give their children for Christmas (or whatever their current beliefs dictate). One parent is invited - by invitation with an appointment date and time -- to come to our warehouse and then they are escorted by a volunteer on a "shopping" trip to select the clothes, toys and book they would like to have for their children. In the surveys completed by the recipients they have indicated that they have been treated with dignity and respect and enjoyed the shopping. Because San Bernardino has just been listed as the second poorest large city in the United States (behind only Detroit) there is a great need for our services. We are limited only by the space we have and the money we receive in donations. We are working on programs to get more grants from larger corporations and hopefully we can maintain at least the same level of giving to the needy children as we have in the past. We have many ladies that make dresses, pajamas, and nighgowns for us and other ladies that knit slippers to go with the pajamas or knit or crochet sweaters or ponchos to either go with the dresses or be matched with a pair of pants. Ladies also make baby blankets for us or larger blankets that are used in a gift for older children in the form of a "sleepover kit" which will include other items such as a stuffed animal or a game, etc. Any help is always appreciated -- whether it be in the form of money or in the form of work done either at home or at the warehouse. We will be happy to give anyone a tour. Check out our website and give us a call or e-mail us.

This is a great organization and is run by all volunteers--not one person there gets any money. They only give out new clothing, toys and books and the parents come through the warehouse at their appointment time to select the items they would like to give to their children in whatever tradition their family normally observes. They also have some bonus items that have been donated from which the parents can select something like a household item or a book or magazine. It is one of the greatest charities I have ever been involved with.
