Yuck. We've visited this museum several times over the past 6 or 7 years... when it's open. Most of the time they are just open by appointment so I don't bother. Every time I have made it inside, it's been filthy, bugs crawling everywhere, mouse crap all over. They definitely never clean the items they have. Very chintzy exhibits. All of their poor clothes on display are badly faded, full of holes, and covered in cobwebs and dead bugs. Ceiling is moldy and falling in and the building smells musty like rotten poo. The one time my grandsons and I got a tour about 4 years ago, it was by an old lady, and she was a horrible tour guide. I tried asking her some basic questions about their summer programming and she had no idea what I was talking about. It's the worst, most disgusting museum I have ever been in. Last time I was there I had lunch up the street, and asked some people there about it. They said it's always closed, and they hope the town tears it down. Sounds like the best fix, TBH. Don't waste your time.
