5 Stars! I've been involved with Sandhills Children's Center for 10 years. My son attended the center for 5 years beginning at 5 months old. He is special needs with several disabilities. I absolutely love the center and what they have done for my son! He was provided with speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and a visual aid teacher throughout his time there and I felt like they truly loved my son and had his best interests at heart. He grew in so many ways while attending school there and they also provide a lot of much needed support for me as a mom.

Mission: To provide services of the highest quality for children with and without special developmental needs, ages birth through five.

Programs: Sandhills children's center operates two center-based campuses with a total of 18 classrooms where the primary goal is to provide a day school alternative to institutional placement for young children with severe and profound disabilities. On a daily basis, the center provides personalized attention from highly trained staff in a play-based environment for children with and withough disabilities. The program serves approximately 118 children at the southern pines campus and 118 children at the rockingham campus.
sandhills children's center's outreach program offers home-based, outreach services in a multi-county area. Currently serving an additional 150 children in counties throughout south central north carolina, the focus of this program is to provide direct services of educational, speech, physical, and occupational therapies in home or child care settings. Home visits are scheduled on a regular basis to assist children with cognitive skills, language and communication, self-help, social skills and physical development.
