You want to know who has inspired me the most over the last 15 years of volunteering for the Sandals Foundation. It's the incredible repeat Sandals clients who always want to contribute a small donation.
They know that Every dollar they donate goes a long way, making a significant impact in so many lives because they know that 100% of every donation goes directly to helping those in need, with zero % being spent on administrative costs. Thank you Sandals Foundation. Meet April, because of the donations to Sandals Foundation, she received free dental care in Turks and Caicos.

Working with a company with CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is good, to work with a company with working CRS like Sandals Resort International is Amazing. We own our own Travel Agency and have adopted the Sandals Foundation as our CSR. Over the past 9yrs we have had the honor to volunteer for a number of the Sandals Foundation programs, including but not limited Christmas gathers, pack a back pack for students, grand opening of schools, and even the honor of being a Sandals Foundation Care for a Kid Scholarship recipients sponsor. The Sandals Foundation has put a lot of smiles in our hearts over the last 9yrs, looking for ward to 9more, Much Love Peter and Sally
I have had the privilege of participating in several of the Sandals Foundation programs for the schools. One was a Christmas party for several of the schools the Sandals Foundation supports. I was able to interact with the amazing boys and girls. I read to some of the younger ones and played games and did crafts with others. We all had lunch together. And then Santa came and each child received presents donated by the foundation. I will never forget the joy in those beautiful little faces. This is just one of the great things the Sandals Foundation does for the young people of the islands.
I have had the pleasure of being involved and volunteering with Sandals Foundation since 2012. Each year I go to one of the school in Jamaica and I'm able to teach classes there and give back to such a wonderful community. The warmth you get from being involved with not only the children but the teachers is truly amazing. If it was not for this wonderful organization of Sandals Foundation I would not have the opportunity to also Sponsor a child thru this organization, My husband and I have been a part of Shelly Ann's life now for almost 2 yrs. Thank you Sandals Foundation for allowing us to be a part of giving back thru all the programs you continue to offer. The reward of seeing a smile on a childs face or teaching them something new you can not explain unless you have been there and done it. I'm forever grateful for allowing my dream to come true and being involved with Sandals Foundation.
I had the pleasure of attending one of the schools in Jamaica that the Sandals Foundation opened for the local students. The school was located in Negril and this was there first year that they were opened. Sandals Foundation paid for the school to be built along with the teaching staff salary. It was a safe and clean environment for these students. The students do not pay for anything. Uniforms are provided for them. This is such an amazing organization that believes in supporting their local communities.
I have had the wonderful experience of participating in the reading road trip in Jamaica. This was one of the most exhilarating experiences I’ve ever had.
The work being done by the Sandals Foundation throughout the Caribbean is amazing and I will continue to support them as often as I can.
The Sandals Foundation is an absolutely outstanding organization with a mission to aid underprivileged children in third world countries, such as Jamaica. Gordon "Butch" Stewart and the Sandals family have done such an amazing jobs building several institutions for these children so that they can have a chance at a living a better life and receiving the best possible education. I commend Sandals and Mr. Stuart for doing such a phenomenal job! And I must say that I am proud to be part of this amazing family!
I never thought I would get the opportunity to experience something so phenomenal in my life.
Going into the experience I thought it was going to be amazing for the kids, I never imagined how much I will always forever treasure the experience I was blessed to have with those children. I honestly believe the experience impacted me more than I could have ever anticipated.
I commend Sandals and I hope they continue to do the wonderful work they have done in the Caribbean. It makes a difference!
I've had the pleasure of doing The Reading Roadtrip with the Sandals Foundation in Jamaica. It was the absolute highlight of our trip. It was such a joy to read to the children, play on the playground and have time to see their school. The Sandals Foundation has provided much needed equipment, computers and supplies for the students. I'm not sure they'd have as much, without the Foundation's generosity. We traveled with book bags and school supplies to share with the students. The Sandals Foundation does encourage travelers to donate such items when they visit a Sandals Resort. This is one of my favorite (of many) things about Sandals. They truly give back to each island and continue to make the Caribbean the wonderful place it is.
The Sandals Foundation makes it easy to contribute and feel like you are making a difference. They help the Caribbean in so many ways. I am happy to let people know I donate to them.
Every time we travel to a Beaches or Sandals resort we are encouraged by the Sandals foundation to go out into the community to make a difference. We’ve done beach cleanups, turtle releases, and volunteered our time reading to the school children. I love that our whole family gets involved.
Contributing has always felt good, but when you contribute towards a foundation such as the Sandals Foundation feels amazing, you get to see exactly where this contribution is going but its beyond! The dedication of this Foundation is one to continue and encourage to partake as well.
We are involved for the second year in sponsoring a child's education in Jamaica. It is so great to have this avenue to identify children in need, or have the ability to succeed and just need a little bit of monetary help with school costs.
As a team we also always take the opportunity to 'pack for a purpose' when visiting the Caribbean, and through the Sandals Foundation they help to get the donations to where they need to be.
Each Sandals location that we have been to whether with a company trip or on our own has been FANTASTIC. Last year our company sent us to Secrets in Jamaica. It can not compare to any Sandals location at all. I would rate the Secrets a 3. Sandals is my home away from home I especially enjoy going to the schools and visiting the children, talking with them and bringing lots of much needed supplies. Dolores P.

January 2014 my husband and I stayed at Sandals Montego Bay and attended the Reading Road trip Sandals Foundation day trip. It was amazing, a fantastic day that benefited the children, teachers and more so my husband and myself. We are going back the end of this year and will be bringing supplies for the school (though the school will be closed for the Christmas Holiday). I am planning on staying an active participant with the Sandals Foundation. I can't say enough positive things about Sandals and their great foundations at each of their locations. With 100% of the donations going to help each individual foundation it is a pleasure to donate and experience personally the happiness and joy that each location brings.

Making dreams become a reality is one of the main objectives of the Sandals Foundation. The foundation has made my dream become a reality by paying my four years college tuition and providing me with the resources I needed to successfully complete my study. I am now a trained teacher holding a Bachelor's degree in Education.
In addition, they assisted with living conditions and basic necessities for my family and I which afforded us the opportunity to be living more comfortably. Through the foundation, my family and I have also developed a bond with two special angels (Barry Heinrich and Sue Drader) who partnered with the foundation and made the aforementioned possible.
Words will never be enough to describe the tremendous job of the foundation and the impact it has on the world at large.

The Sandals Foundation is the epitome of Charity!
I will never forget when I was unable to get sponsorship from any corporate entity to cover my airfare to represent my country in Japan, and I reached out to the Sandals Foundation and they were more than happy to help.
Not only did they cover my airfare, but they checked up on me to ensure i was OK.
This Foundation showed me that all is not lost in this world, as there are still people out there that cares.
I'm always amazed at the work the Sandals Foundation is doing throughout the Caribbean. I've met some of the people who have benefited from the work of the foundation and have heard their stories and each one touches my heart. I love that the Sandals Foundation offer so many ways for us to help give back too. Whether it be a Reading Road Trip to meet with local school children, bringing down school supplies or Christmas gifts for the kids, or donating money while on resort or even at home. There is always a way to get involved and I appreciate that no matter how big or small, so many people all over the world find a way to contribute.
The Sandals Foundation provides my agency - the Sweet Water Foundation - with financing to run our psychotherapy group program for adolescent girls who have experienced sexual abuse of any kind. We are in our 6th cycle, each cycle being 14 weeks long, and the program has had tremendous impact on the lives of its participants. The RISE club is a place where everyone loves to go - girls, facilitators and guest instructors alike. The issues we deal with are of the very most serious kind; rape, incest, teenage pregnancy, STDs, and all of the emotional issues tied up in these problems. But thanks to Sandals, we can afford the luxury of time for our girls to shed the trauma of their experiences, share coping mechanisms with each other, and empower each other to envision lives that are authentic and self-actualised. We are able to afford guest instructors of the highest level, in the fields of medicine and law, as well as art, yoga and environmental protection. Even though we are in the 6th cycle, the RISE club is proving to be a place where girls from all previous cycles keep dropping back in. They've all kept in touch with us and with each other and our efforts are proving self-sustaining. Sandals has been an incredibly supportive partner and our time together has been richly rewarding. Thank you Sandals!!!
The Sandals Foundation is one of the reasons I love the Caribbean. The Director and her staff are so enthusiastic about the projects that it is fun to get involved and be a part of the giving.
I never go to Caribbean without gifts for schools and children and I am happy to help in any way with this worthwhile and much needed Foundation.
I have been volunteering with the Sandals Foundation for the past 6 years, and the scope of who and what they support is amazing to me. Each time I volunteer, I know I am getting back WAY more than I give. I just can't get enough! My 11yo son participated in one of their Reading Road Trips nearly 3 years ago, and now he is a loyal supporter of the Sandals Foundation as well - so much so, that he is raising money and donating supplies to a specific school in their program. You can't help but want to give back through their programs - especially when your $$ donations are 100% applied to their programs...and your supply donations are put to use immediately!
The Sandals Foundation has made giving back to the Caribbean easier than ever. When giving time and donations you're able to see the immediate impact on the community and those it touches. Knowing that all donations are for those in need makes the foundation unique and one of a kind.
It is amazing what can be done for those in need when all the proceeds go towards helping and not line the pockets of the greedy. We tell all our clients (with our travel agency),when they travel to the islands, to give what they can to the foundation, for this reason. In addition to donating money, we encourage our clients to participate in the Reading Road Trips to visit the children. I have been doing these trips, since the inception, and bringing school supplies, books, toys, and clothing to the islands. The Sandals Foundation makes sure that everything we bring goes to those in need. They work, tirelessly, in supporting the Caribbean, and really make a difference in many peoples' lives. I will continue supporting the foundation, especially, with a little school I sponsor, which is now going to be helped by the foundation! This is so exciting!
I have been volunteering with the Sandals Foundation for the past 6 years, and I can not tell you the changes I have seen in the lives of the people the Sandals Foundation touches. Each time I volunteer I feel as though I am getting back way more than I give. The Sandals foundation has changed the way these children learn, and teaches them the importance of taking care the environment they live in. I love the fact that the Sandals Foundation offers their guests the opportunity to interact with the children during the Reading Road Trip program..... If you haven't participated in one, you must do so in the future.... THANK YOU Sandals Foundation for all you do.
I run Junior Achievement Jamaica and for the past few years The Sandals Foundation has stood tall in supporting persons with disabilities. They have helped us launch the deaf and hard of hearing program to all deaf schools in Jamaica. The Sandals Foundation has leveraged there access to hotel facilities to host teacher trainings, create Jamaican-Sign-Language (JSL) materials and expose the Deaf and Hard of Hearing young adults to internship opportunities.
Junior Achievement Jamaica uses the Sandals Foundation as an example for others to follow. With its broad reach the Foundation is not just a great organization, it is also a good organization. We are proud to be affiliated.
What an excellent Foundation. They are touching all aspects of life in the Caribbean. From schooling, to job training, to medicine, to social activities. I had the chance first hand to see all of their various programs and I was blown away. They are really putting in work, and are taking on an enormous amount of responsibility, that would typically be handled by governments. Keep up the good work Sandals Foundation!
Sandals Foundation has played a significant role in the Flanker Resource Centre. They have help the centre growth tremendously to help the citizens of the community. They help us to seek funding, assistance with back to school, literacy programme etc. You have motivate us to stay strong even in difficulty circumstance. We want to say thank yous sandals Foundation and we are happy you are on board to continue this journey with us. We wish the Foundation all the best in it's endeavors and continue with the good work because there are many smiles out there because of you.
Thank you again
I was at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios with a group and we all decided to do The Reading Road Trip in which all proceeds go to The Sandals Foundation. That was the most rewarding experience we all could agree. The look on the kids faces were enough to win me over to donate to the Foundation. Now every year when we go to Sandals we take supplies and book The Reading Road Trip. What a great program.
The Sandals Foundation is the epitome of the Sandals' philosophy of exceeding expectations because they do, every day. As a consultant for Sandals Resorts, I had the pleasure of working with the Foundation in Grenada through their Reading Road Trip program and most recently in Jamaica, where I worked on summer prep with teens getting ready to enter high school. These were magnificent opportunities to get involved in places that have given so much to me. I am proud of the Foundation. Their consistent support of the local communities where Sandals Resorts operates in the Caribbean is a best example of the vital role tourism can and must play in improving the lives of people in the region. Thank you AS and HC for all you do.
The Sandals Foundation approached the PACE Foundation to see how they could help us. This was about 3 years ago. We are a Foundation that supports the PACE Programme in the Bahamas. The PACE Programme has been in existence for about 45 years and seeks to ensure that teenage mothers continue their education by completing high school and helps to educate these young parents about birth control and how to care for themselves and their babies. The Programme also reaches out to parents, male and female teenagers to educate them about the risks of unprotected sex. A consistent theme is "Parents need to educate their children about sex." The Sandals Foundation has directly donated computers and other gifts for the use of the school and has thus far raised $76,500 towards the renovation of a building purchased by the PACE Foundation to be a permanent school site for the PACE Programme. They provide the level of support that we could have only imagined previously and help to bring other partners along. Please support the work of the Sandals Foundation. They are changing lives everyday.
I have been a volunteer with the Great Shape! Inc. 1000 Smiles humanitarian project since 2007 that Sandals sponcers and now it is their Foundation that is continuing it, and because of it, it has become the WORLDS LARGEST humanitarian dental project! There is also 2 other projects they do, Superkids, a literacy project in the schools and an eye care program, both much needed and well received. I am so proud to be a small part of it, as from the first time I went to Jamaica I fell in love with the people and the island! Thank you Sandals!
The Sandals Foundation has contributed as a sponsor and partner of our annual Medical Mission to Jamaica every year and has been a cornerstone to our contributions to the needs of the underprivileged regions in Jamaica.
For many years, with Sandals support, we were able to bring physicians, dentists, optometrists, pharmacists and many other medical professions to provide care to those in need. They have supported us time and time again by providing lodging services, banquets, and various other contributions.
We sincerely thank the Sandals Foundation for their continued partnership over the years. We truly appreciate your assistance.
Several years ago before the Sandals Foundation became a reality , we were given a promise by one of the founders that we had her word that we at The Animal House Jamaica would receive ongoing help. That promise has been kept and since its inception the Sandals Fo9undation has helped our animals in more ways than can be expressed here. This charity is so worthy of being considered a great non-profit.
I have been working along with the Sandal Exuma Foundation since 2012. The Foundation in Exuma has helped in many areas on the island. My contribution has been donating musicial instruments, back to school items, baby supplies and soon Christmas items. I decided to become apart of this group in memory of my late brother Roderick Malcolm, who worked at Sandals Exuma and in Aug 2012 he suffered a stroke while at work and passed away 3 days later. As a results of the moral support from the General Manager Mr. Mutton and the awesome team members, I made "giving back" to the foundation apart of my mission in my brother's memory.
I have had the the great privilege to work with the Sandals Foundation which has assisted with making it possible for a wonderful group of Veterinarians, nurses and support staff both from abroad and here on the ground in Jamaica, of The group ISNN to come to Jamaica each year and help our country with our street animals and pets who belong to the less fortunate in our community. Without the assistance of The Foundation it would be incredibly difficult to have these incredibly selfless people come here.Thank you, thank you, thank you your work, time and effort in helping us all is so greatly appreciated.
Sandals Foundation has done so much in the communities surrounding Beaches Family Resort. The experiences of local kids and persons from the community are definitely much richer because of the work of the foundation. I was on a trip with kids from local primary schools who got a chance to see coral reefs on a glass bottom boat while learning all about them. That's way cooler than any class i ever had at that age. They were so stimulated. Great work Sandals Foundation!!!
I participated in the Sandals Foundation reading trip last fall and brought along supplies to donate as well. In nine trips to Jamaica, this was by far the most memorable thing that we ever did.
We also were able to see a release of baby turtles from Sandals Whitehouse which I understand is a new program the Sandals Foundation is trying to launch by hoping they breed on the grounds at the resort in a protected area.
Great foundation! I'm happy to use my vacation dollars at Sandals!
Having been lucky to stay at a couple of Sandals properties, I have always tried to support the Foundation when I can - I watched in Antigua how the boys received their awards for the cricket foundation in Aug 12 their faces when they were recognised is something I will never forget
- I read with the children and in Jamaica, they were plaiting my hair and taking pics with the camera - it just shows how much they appreciate the time you give - They do amazing work in the Caribbean...
My wife and myself have been Proud Patrons and offshore supporters for all the Great projects "The Foundation" supports in the Jamacia in particular. We will be returning again to participate on a "Reading Trip" to a local community school, and with a donation to assist with other projects through out the outreach of this Foundation.
You would be remiss if you did not recognise this organization, for all it has done, and all it plans to do on a global level.

The Sandals Foundation has touched so many needy lives throughout the Caribbean. 100% of the proceeds goes to fulfill the mission of the Foundation. It is by far one of the most impactful non-profits making a true difference.
I have collaborated with the Sandals Foundation on various projects for over 3 years and have been very impressed by their professionalism and wide scope of work. They have a great team of committed and hard-working staff who are able to channel the support of Sandals customers and staff into important projects supporting vulnerable communities and local farmers. The Sandals Foundation is also actively supporting marine protected areas and working with local fishermen to help restore stocks of fish and coral reefs.
I recently received the Annual Report and was blown away by all the projects these folks are doing.
LOVE IT !!

Sandals Foundation is a nonprofit that has very busy making a profound difference in many corners of Jamaica and all across the Caribbean. Tens of thousands of persons in great need benefit every year through their impressive portfolio of programs and projects. As the Executive Director of a USA based nonprofit that has been working in Jamaica for 25 years, I know first hand the work that Sandals Foundation is doing and the incredible life changing impact it has had on so many people. Their approach is both sustainable and holistic. From cleaning up beaches to building schools, from providing dental care to saving coral reefs, Sandals Foundation works hard to improve every aspect of Jamaica's education system, environment and communities. If there is one thing that separates Sandals Foundation from many others it is how they increase the impact they have by partnering with other nonprofits and companies. Through creative and productive partnerships, Sandals Foundation is able to match its expertise with others to synergistically create a greater benefit to communities and to people. Sandals Foundation has been an incredibly empowering partner to our nonprofit, Great Shape! Inc. I give a whole hearted recommendation to Sandals Foundation. Its board and staff are dedicated, hard working, efficient and effective custodians of its mission.
I have watched the work of Sandals Foundation during the past few years as my friend is on the Sandals Foundation board. I think they do phenomenal work and are a huge support for other non-profit agencies. I am proud to nominate Sandals Foundation as an excellent non-profit organization.
I have been lucky enough to have stayed at a few of the Sandals and Beaches properties and have always been impressed with my limited interaction with the people of the Caribbean islands. My brother, Peter Blum, raves about the work done by Sandals Foundation. As a teacher approaching retirement, I have caught his enthusiasm and avidly follow the foundation's work in education. One of my students struggled to find a topic to present to the scholarship committee for a service related topic. I pulled up the Foundation’s Facebook page and let him scroll down and just “look” at the pictures. An incredible essay asking for the funds to send books on to the Caribbean was the result. There is no question that the work this Foundation does is authentic.
Education and travel are my passions. As a result, I am looking forward to “packing for a purpose” and developing a deeper interaction with the educators of the Islands. Just as Adam Stuart discussed at the Students Colloquium in New York, I want to “choose my own future” and increase my own “optimism” by developing a personal interaction with the children of the Caribbean. Kudos to Sandals Resorts for looking beyond their own profits and striving to empower the lives of those less fortunate through the work of the Sandals Foundations.
I became famliar with the excellent work of the Sandals Foundation through a friend of mine who is a hardworking member of the Sandals Board and who has been actively involved in many, if not all, of the projects of the Sandals Foundation since he witnessed the wonderful service that the Foundation renders. I have seen the photos of the schools being built and the trees being replanted. I know that Sandals Foundation works with many other non profit organizations to help maximize the results and directly help the groups and indiividuals in need. I am proud to support this hands-on organization and happy to spread the word about the superb work that Sandals Foundation does.
The Sandals Foundation supports the work of many smaller organizations that offer free services for needy people in Jamaica. International Spay/Neuter Network is one such organization that the Sandals Foundation has so generously helped for the past four years. Our organization brings down a group of volunteer veterinarians and technicians several times a year to spay pets of low income communities. The Sandals Foundation donates accommodations, transportation and is always willing to pitch in to see that we have whatever we need to get the job done. Truly, we couldn't offer this service without their support.
