Mission: The primary mission Sanctuary of Hope is to provide a caring and identity affirming approach to services that will help young people become self-sufficient, make connections, and lead prosperous lives.
Results: With 27 caring and empathetic staff and four committed board of directors, in fiscal year 2022, SOH successfully served 1,106 unduplicated youth and 511 duplicated youth. To list a few accomplished objectives: 1) 203 received referral and placement into safe and secure housing: 2) 654 received basic need services: 3) 312 received independent living skills and life-skill building activities: 4) 58 participated in character and leadership development cohorts: 5) 712 engaged in life coaching services: 6) 413 established permanent connections or mentor relationships with adults outside of SOH; 7) 373 received system navigation services; 8) 61 CalFresh/Medicare applications facilitated at sites; 9) 27 Emergency Housing Vouchers (Section 8) matched and processed; and 10) 101 job readiness and placement.
