I was out on the streets drinking and using and waking up on peoples lawns with my wallet all over the sidewalk when I woke up morning’s several times. I had nothing but my I.D. and my clothes. I ended up locked in the psychiatric ward at the county hospital and got an offer to stay at Sanctuary. I sure wasn’t going anywhere so I suddenly had hope for my life to turn around.

Immediately after we got a dual diagnosis group started in 1993. I found it working for me and others and kept it going on for years.
