Mission: Provide a high quality human and christian education to young people in the underserved back of the yards neighborhood on chicago's south side. The school's mission includes graduate and family support programs for students and their families.
Programs: Middle school - provide a high quality humane and christian education to young people in the underserved back of the yards neighborhood on chicago's south side. In doing so, the school has designed a holistic wraparound approach to student learning that begins with building a relationship with each student and teaching them to be accountable for their own actions. The school's enrolls approximately 90 students on an annual basis, nearly all of whom are hispanic and qualify for the federally funded free and reduced lunch program.
graduate support - provide academic support, youth development activities, leadership opportunities, financial assistance, alumni events, and college readiness to high school age graduates of san miguel. Approximately 100 graduates are served on an annual basis.
family support - provide educational opportunities for parents/adults, clinical counseling for students/families, and collaboration and community development with other back of the yards neighborhood organizations. Approximately 550 family members are served annually, including some members of the community at large.
