My sister was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer at 40 yrs old. My sister is physically handicapped and has cerebral palsy since birth. She had to have a mastectomy and came to San Juan Nursing Home for rehab and healing post surgery. She had a wonderful experience with all the staff and they were all very caring and conscious of her needs and made her feel at home. Being in the nursing home with her from dusk until dark witnessed how the staff were constantly giving all of themselves to take care of all the residents and families. I would not hesitate or think twice about were to place my family if the need were to arise again.
At San Juan Nursing my mother and I had a beautiful experience from the very first day we stepped into SJN. It was evident that my mother and every resident at SJN are loved and cared for everyday. There was never a day that I walked into SJN and didn't feel that my mother was not cared for or loved. Everyone from the kitchen staff, janitors, administrator, clergy and especially the nurses were wonderful to my mother. I hold SJN very dear to my heart for treating my mother with so much respect and dignity. They are not like any other nursing home and believe me I know this because my mother had been to three other nursing homes and no other can compare or come close to the loving and caring atmosphere at SJN. SJN will forever be in a very special place in my heart for everything they did for my mother and the other residents. God Bless SJN! - Nora Resendez
