Mission: The principal mission of the land trust is to work with landowners to protect agricultural and forest lands, water resources, wildlife habitat and scenic open spaces, and to serve our community by facilitating parks and trails in custer, fremont, pueblo and huerfano counties.
Programs: Land protection and preservation. During the fiscal year year 2013-14, san isabel land protection trust placed conservation easements on five properties, totalling 1,629 acres in custer, pueblo and huerfano counties. All were donated conservation easements with no grants or pass-through revenue. In all, 127 conservation easements are maintained by the land trust.
