Causes: Chambers of Commerce & Business Leagues
Mission: Primary exempt purpose organization's mission: the specific purposes of this corporation are: a. To establish and promote cordial relationships and better understanding between persons and entities rendering transportation and allied services and patrons of such services and the public generally; b. To study and discuss transportation problems, legislation affecting transportation and other matters of common interest; c. To establish and promote, either independently or through other agencies, educational courses and projects on subjects dealing with transportation and its various ramifications; and d. To take action on any transportation question.
Programs: During 2016 the association carried on programs which fit the specific purposes of this association which are stated in the organization's mission. This was done by holding weekday luncheon meetings featuring speakers on topics of interest, contributing to other non-profit organizations focusing on transportation issues and other areas of general interest, and putting on two special events, a gala dinner called steamship night and a golf outing, which bring people from the transportation industry, members and non members, together and raise funds to finance the contributions and ongoing costs of the organization.
