Mission: San francisco senior and disability action mobilizes and educates seniors and people with disabilities to fight for individual rights and social justice. Through individual support and collective action, we work together to create a city and world in which seniors and people with disabilities can live well and safely.
Programs: Senior and disability empowerment-raised awareness of the need for longer crossing times to get across the street safely, held senior and disability university and senior and disability survival school for 267 seniors and people with disabilities.
housing-counseled 200+ people on housing rights, trained 105 people on leadership development, distributed tenant rights information, coordinated monthly senior & disability sro workgroup, monitored new sro elevator repair rebate program.
comsumer rights-developed a new training called "getting more for less" to help seniors and people with disabilities access free and discount offers; served 2000+ people through one-on-one assistance and workshops.
