Mission: OUR MISSION STATEMENT To Help Eliminate Food Insecurity & Social Isolation In Our Aging Population... To provide services and programs that engage, uplift and enrich the lives of older adults, including: Healthy meals at our 3 Multipurpose Centers, at no cost to at-risk low income Seniors... Wellness programs, exercise and social activities... And transportation to and from our 3 Centers to otherwise homebound Seniors. For 60 years VIC has been bringing together and uplifting Seniors from diverse communities across the San Fernando Valley. We will continue to do so with compassion, kindness, collaboration and dedication.
Results: 2024 marked the 60th Anniversary of the Valley InterCommunity Council. With Food Insecurity and Social Isolation at epidemic proportions among our aging population, VIC has continued to shine as a leader in providing the assistance and support needed by our Seniors to truly make a positive difference in their lives. We serve over 300,000 meals per years and give over 45,000 rides annually to at-risk low-income and often otherwise homebound Seniors. Our Project Golden works daily year-round towards providing assistance to all those in need.
