“The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation provides a unique and valuable service for the scientific and clinical enterprise. Its unique mechanism for funding innovative and paradigm shifting science has direct relevance for developing enhanced therapies for cancer. By supporting, unique and innovative science, that is often high risk with the potential for high reward, discoveries funded by the SWCRF have produced remarkable results, permitting scientific discoveries to move from “bench-to-bedside” thereby providing benefit to patients with multiple types of cancer. I have been very fortunate to be involved with the foundation for over 30 years and have significantly benefited from this interaction.”
