Mission: We are a non-profit interfaith counseling and wellness center whose primary goal is to improve the mental, spiritual, and physical health of children, adults, and families with special attention to the military community and the underserved. We have provided services since 1974, and have always taken a holistic approach to care, treating mind, body, spirit, and community. In 2007, we created our nationally recognized hope for heroes program, specifically designed to treat the unique needs of veterans and their families. We are faith-sensitive and trained to incorporate an individuals unique spiritual beliefs into treatment.
Programs: We provided professional, evidence-based mental health counseling to children, teens, adults, couples, and families who are experiencing problems that prevent them from living a healthy and productive life. Our integrative medicine program included acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, tai chi, bio-feedback, and therapeutic massage. Our nationally-recognized hope for heroes program provided military competent counseling, workshops, and integrative medicine to veterans, service members, and their families. In addition, we provided programming and peer support to veterans who are incarcerated.
I sent my teenage son to the Center when he was in high school and was dealing with depression. I later became a Board member and saw first hand what a top notch organization this is. They have added help for veterans and use a holistic approach - body, mind and spirit. They try to never turn anyone away because of inability to pay. Donations and grants help them help others!
