Causes: Chambers of Commerce & Business Leagues
Mission: The salem area chamber of commerce is a volunteer driven organization that improves and promotes an atmosphere that enables the community to grow and prosper. The chamber works to accomplish its purpose by serving as the voice of the salem business community and by representing our members in government affairs at local, state and federal levels. The chamber also works to accomplish its purpose by providing members with networking, promotional and educational opportunities as well as information and business assistance. Established in 1930, the salem area chamber of commerce has served the salem and dent county community for more than 80 years. The salem area chamber of commerce is a member of the missouri chamber of commerce, meramec regional planning commission, and ozark heritage tourism association.
Programs: A business expo, contests/parades and other assorted activities promote the salem area and all of its benefits.
the remainder of the expenses relate to the chambers other general programs which deal with the promotion of the city of salem/dent conty area for its educational, business and tourism opportunities.
