Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals

Mission: The Salem Animal Rescue League (SARL) is a non-profit organization whose goal is to find permanent, loving homes for abandoned and unwanted animals in Salem, NH and surrounding towns. We are active in our community and have several programs in place to aid local citizens. We also provide humane education and awareness in an effort to reduce shelter animal populations.

Programs: The Salem Animal Rescue League (SARL) was formed in 1992 with the goal of rescuing 50 stray and unwanted animals in the Salem, NH area. During that year, SARL rescued a total of 157 animals, affirming the need for an alternative to traditional municipal animal control. SARL's history is one of community interaction with police, town government and the people of the community. Today, the Salem Animal Rescue League rescues and adopts close to 800 dogs and cats per year.

A great orgnaization that is there for the public to utilize and volunteer for.

They helped a friend of mine who had a dog for over 13 years, by giving the dog a 3 week home so my friend could get some help for herself and not have to worry about her animal.

Also they rescue animals not just from the area but from across the country as needed and as they can.

If you love animals, and want to give back to society a little, hookup with SARL just off of So broadway in Salem, NH,
