Having seen first hand a Saha Global expansion project and having observed numerous volunteer programs through Saha Global, it is clear that this organization takes every step to ensure that they do the right work in the right way. Majority Ghanaian staff, long-term monitoring, community acceptance and involvement, women empowerment, and they have a low tech high success solution to providing clean drinking water in Northern Ghana.

Having done both their "Fellowship program" and helped coordinate that same program, I have come to believe Community Water Solution's impact and sustainability lies in its institutional commitment to innovation and creative responses to what seems like simple challenges. Their solution to the regional challenge of borehole drilling and lacking infrastructure, empowering women with capital to start microwater enterprises, coupled with ongoing monitoring, seems to be a highly effective regional intervention both for its cost-effectiveness and sustainability. It taps into the desire of college-age students to travel abroad and experience the development field first hand by supplying the opportunity to do so as a reliable, sustainable revenue stream that will help encourage sustainability.
The greatest strength of the org is its committed, experienced Ghanaian staff, allowing it to have high capacity for such a small org despite relatively low funding. Finally, its board is innovative, committed to its organizational mission and long-term expansion. There's a lot of potential here.
