Nonprofit Overview
Mission: To facilitate the transformation of people with life-controlling problems; impacting families and communities through the gospel of jesus christ.
Programs: We continue to develop and improve all aspects of the program and strive to provide the best service for women and children in happy valley center. The capacity of the center is 64 women and children, but we kept the number of women to 28 including their children. As we hire new staff members, we will gradually fill the center to its capacity. Enterprises were begun for the women to work at a few hours per day. We were blessed with a great deal of help from local corporations and community through their gifts in-kind.
adjustments we made previous years helped us to not only handle more students in our centers but to improve the quality of care they receive while with us. Since the ladies from the alpha henson women's center were moved to the happy valley center, our men reside on the beautiful property on 20 acres. They enjoy the peaceful environment and are busy with putting in a beautiful organic garden and other projects. Other changes equally beneficial took place at other locations.
the board of directors decided to ask applicants of our program what they can to raise $1,500 per month from their family and friends towards the cost of their care. However, no one is ever turned away for a lack of funds. We simply want them to take responsibility for their healing and do what they are able to help pay for the cost of their care. We have seen a positive effect upon our students and their program as a result of this, besides having a new source of funding for the care of our students.
